It was a nice hotel and everyone was really friendly. My husband and I went to Galena to celebrate our 1st anniversary and was just looking for a hotel to crash at. It exceeded our expectations and we will stay there again! The room was really clean and the location was amazing!! The breakfast was great too!! No complaints here!

Our cards wouldn't work when we tried to enter the room from the outside. When I came back in the woman at the desk said that you need to do them inside first--wish she would have told me that in the first place. The chain on the outside door pulled right out of the wall--not so much a safety precaution! We also had other problems with our cards not […] working. I was upgraded so the room was a very large, clean, king size and had a small back patio and fireplace. It was a bit outdated, but the bed was comfortable. The only problem I had was that I could hear a man snoring in the next room as loud as if he were in my room so I didn't get any sleep. The walls are that thin.

Only stayed one night here but definitely would stay again. The room was Nice besides the hot tub breaking and not shutting off but as doing as we told someone they moved us to a new room and it was after 10 pm. Everyone was very Nice and next time I'd love to check out a fantasy sweet :-)

We went to Galena to see the historic sites. The hotel was very close to all attractions. Our room was spacious and clean; like the micro and fridge in the room. Amy at the front desk was friendly and helpful, the rooms were extra large, a plus was a private balcony of each room. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room was adequately clean and comfortable- no issues. We didn't spend much time in the room as we were in downtown Galena most of the time. It is close to downtown, but there is no sidewalk to the hotel, so you need to drive no matter what. I would have prefered to walk, so a sidewalk would have been nice.

Got to chek in in durty room. Whent for lunch for an 1 hr and room didnot get cleen!!!! Have to wait at the loby for other 30 min. After 1hr 30 min was be able to finaly rest. U think I got anything for my discomfot? NOTHING AT ALL !!!! The worst expiriense ever!!

toilet didd not flush properly - as if there was inadequate water pressure. Tub drain plug would not stay open. Rubber seal around exterior door to the balcony was shredded and hanging loose. Hotel is right next to hiway 20 so very noisy, and NO elevator,.

We immediately brought this matter to the front desk and we were told sorry they just converted the rooms to non-smoking. And they couldn't do anything. The location of the hotel was great! We were located on the first floor and able to come and go through the enterance of the room and not through the hotel. We were not pleased with the large amount of leaves located outside of this room or lack of a clean toilet. We called to have the toilet cleaned only to find out later that the urine had not been […] removed from around the base of the toilet. Due to the lack of cleanliness to the toilet, we avoided using the tub for fear that the tub was cleaned in the same manner. We had complained a second time to the hotel (about the leaves and the toilet), but she did not understand the complaint. I did speak to the hotel manager two days later, and she stated the reason for the toilet conditions were related to the "ring" on the toilet needing to be changed. I stated that the urine, feces, and hair on a toilet is not related to a "ring" needing to be changed or the fact that we had complained twice before this with little empathy in return. The manager was able to take $50.00 off the price of the hotel room. Read more
