The wi-fi in my room was very spotty. Nearly non-existant. It was, however, free. At least I didn't pay extra for that. They didn't give a whole lot of thought to the exercise room. It had the minimal amenities and could use an update in machines. In addition, the refrigerator, which I had needed to use, was not equipped with a freezer and was unpluged when I took the room.

Staff was very friendly. Allowed us to check in early so my kids could swim before we went to dinner. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Would stay again.

We live here in amarillo and just wanted to get away from home. This is our 2nd time here and we love staying here. Very clean, love the pool & hot tub, very nice employees , & the breakfast was the best.

Loved the location. Very quiet surroundings. The staff was extremely polite & friendly. It is a brand new hotel, so I did expect that there would be fewer "defects" in the facilities than there were. Our room had been cleaned, but it had probably been at least a week since anyone had been in the room, because everything was very dusty. The room was very spacious & comfortable, as was the bed. Didn't use it, but I loved the laundry facility. It is free of charge, so you don't need any change to run the machines!

Wasn't too sure what to expect when we pulled in parking lot, but Best Western was not bad for the price we got. Service was good, the room was clean,... however we were on the 2nd fl & all the rooms had non smoking signs and the halls reeked of cigarette smoke. so that was a little disappointing. cannot comment on the breakfast, as we did not eat at the hotel. Overall satisfied with stay, served the purpose. My main concern with any hotel stay is cleanness of the room & Bed, & it was. by Ruby from San Antonio, TX on 03/25/13

We stopped in on our way home from Colorado just to nap and freshen up in the morning. The room was nice & clean, the night staff very accommodating. We were able to make breakfast only to be very disappointed in the quality of food and amount on hand. The steam table selection consisted of brick-like biscuits and scrambled eggs the consistency of wet […] sand. The juices were only available in "dental office" Dixie cups. The front desk staffer began breaking down the breakfast bar before 09:00AM and didn't even have the courtesy to ask the guests if there was anything they might like before she had her ghetto boyfriend haul everything away for her. **Clearly he did NOT work there. Although the room was clean and the beds comfortable, our room smelled of smoke although it was a non-smoking room. Overall, we would stay there again, but we would ask to be given another room. We were just too tired that night. We were thrilled that the hotel allowed pets! They really enjoyed the room.

We were traveling with our two small dogs. The hotel was great for them. Separate entrance away from the front door entrance. Room was very close to the entrance door. Big yard to walk the dogs in. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

The hotel was great for an overnight stay--nothing outstanding but very comfortable for one night. The most frustrating thing was that I could not connect to the high speed internet in the room and the one in the lobby didn't work. If this problem were resolved, I would highly recommend the hotel for travelers.

First, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating, but there were serious problems with the hotel. In our first room, the air conditioning didn't work. Amarillo in August? Yikes, so we went to the front desk, and they were happy to move us to a new room. There the ceiling fan didn't work, but the a/c did. Then we turned on the tv, but no tv. The […] remote wouldn't work, so we again trooped down to the front desk, and they were happy to change the batteries, but still no tv. So we called it a night. The bed wasn't an issue for us as we like a nice firm mattress, but this was a VERY firm mattress. So if you like a soft bed, this will be like sleeping on a board. The room was clean, but we will avoid the Best Western Santa Fe next time we drive through Amarillo. Read more
