Staying at an airport hotel can be rather dreary but this Ramada was bright, clean and had interesting features - like the sliding mirror which covered the window to help alleviate noises, a shower which would accommodate people with disabilities, and nice fluffy towels. Perfect for that time when you need sleep for another step on a journey.

There was no shuttle service from the airport and had to take a taxi which cost 4 pounds each way. The hotel did arrange for a taxi to return to the airport. Otherwise the hotel was nice.

This was the final stop for us before flying home. For those who don't have a car, this isn't the hotel for you. It's much more difficult to get to than the site's claim of being "500 meters from the airport" suggests. It's on the other side of a motorway and there are no sidewalks, making it difficult to walk to -- which we had to do because no one […] answered our first three calls from the courtesy phone in the airport to request the shuttle. We finally got through on the fourth attempt, only to learn that the shuttle costs 2 pounds per person. Then we never did get the internet access to work despite 40 minutes of trying and two calls and a trip to the front desk. The directions on how to connect that were included in the Ramada's guest book were completely different from what the employee suggested -- and neither of them worked. The book in the room also did not say that free WiFi was available downstairs in the bar area. On the bright side, our troubles saved us the 12 pounds it cost to connect. Also our confirmation email suggested we would have free internet through the TV to check email, but that was not the case either (5 pounds for this service). The hotel is in a business park. It is virtually impossible to walk anywhere, although one could get a taxi to escape. If you cross some roads (without sidewalks) you can get out, but the area you enter is warehouses and then some not very attractive housing. If you persist, you can get to something decent I guess. The room was'nt fancy but comfortabe for an overnight stay. Unfortunatly a couple of bus loads of teenagers and loud adults made getting to sleep a challange. I think a free shuttle service to the airport would be helpful as it is in many US airport accomidations.

One complaint I had was the fact that there was a charge for the shuttle to the airport. When I booked the room I saw "airport transportation (complimentary)", but apparently that only applies to transfers from the airport to the hotel and not the other way around. I would stay again, but having just spent 5 days in the Campanile near Braehead Shopping Centre; the Ramada seemed tired. Also, they have some smoking rooms, which although I wasn't staying in one, made the corridor on the way to my room smell awful.

Booked at very short notice because of heavy snow. Staff were excellent, even to the extent of double-checking that our wake-up call had worked . Room had everything we needed & the bed was comfortable. Airport shuttle made it easy in the morning.

Very apprehensive when we first booked, being so near to the airport and the possible noise. We needn't have worried! We had a fabulous night's sleep, a ten minute walk to the terminal and just regret, we didn't get a chance to use the restaurant for dinner or breakfast. Overall I thought the hotel was reasonable. The main bed was very comfortable. Shower was excellent. A severe negative was the sofa bed in the family room which was a disaster if you had to use it. While conveniently located near the airport - there is nothing around for entertainment, no facilities, pool or gym. Restaurant is only open small window on weekends and for an "airport hotel" there is a FEE to use the shuttle to airport! Come late and leave early because there is nothing else to do! Also, wifi is only available in the lounge area.

It turned out they were about three rooms away! Its a really nice hotel with a very convenient location! I have only one complaint, not having wifi in the rooms is disappointing, you have to go to the lounge to use wifi, or pay £5 an hour to have it hooked up to your laptop in the room!

Swift check in and check out, very reasonable price and convenient location (for us), clean rooms, very comfortable, definitely recommended when in transit or before/after a flight from Glasgow Aiport (probably less for a longer stay or if you have no car as it is very close to the airport but far from everything else).

Yes it's situated near the Glasgow airport but it's almost impossible to get to on foot because of a series of highways and roundabouts. Consequently, one must use their shuttle bus which charges £2 for about a 3-minute ride. Considering that the cost of the airport shuttle from downtown Glasgow out to the airport is £5 for a 20-minute ride and one […] can see how exorbitant this 3-minute charge is. If you want to stay at Glasgow airport, use the Holiday Inn which is a 2-minute walk across a lane-way to the terminals. We also had to ask for a second bath-towel. Our room had 3 hand-towels and one bath-towel for two people. When we asked for a second bath-towel, the desk personnel actually argued with us that we hadn't looked hard enough to find the other one. Satisfactory, hotel was clean, service and food were good. Bedroom only had sheers for drapes and while there was no way anyone could see in the room did not get that dark in the evening as there were street lights on.

This is a mid-sized modern airport hotel. Not a lot of character lets say. But it is comfortable and clean. The restaurant was not family style, but was presented as fine dining. This made for a more expensive dinner than we wanted to pay.
