I took a guest and was embarrassed. The hotel had all wires exposed in the lobby ceiling and pictures were on the floor, there is duct tape holding up the decorative siding. We had three rooms in two days because Expedia did not tell the hotel that we required two beds or maybe the hotel did not listen. I was a little shocked when we first arrived at this hotel. The website said "recently renovated". However, we arrived to find the entire hotel under construction. There was a hole in the foyer ceiling with water leaking out of one of the light fixtures. A bucket remained under that leak for the duration of our 6 day stay. The carpeting in the stairwell […] looked as though it should have been replaced 20 years ago. And the room itself was incredibably small (which I somewhat expected from other reviews of hotels in Paris). All of that said, our room was fantastically quiet. There was no street noise at all which was impressive given the hotel's location. The hotel is roughly 2 blocks from the Arc de Triumph, and roughly 3-4 blocks from the Champs Elysees. It is located in a great area that is both fun and easy to explore while visiting Paris. We were able to walk from the Eiffel Tower back to our hotel room, and it only took 15 minutes at the most (that was with us stopping to look at other things). There are also many necessary amenities just outside of the hotel doors including a pharmacy, a small market, an electronics shop, a Starbucks, and many many small cafes and eateries. Read more

This hotel really is a great location! 5 min walk from the Arch de Triomphe. And if you are taking the bus from Orly the last stop is less than a 10 min walk to the hotel. Expecting a tiny Parisian room for three, we were overcome with pleasure setting foot inside our wonderful room! All slept well for four nights in comfortable beds, nearly silent atmosphere, exceptionally clean, remodeled-modern bathroom. We even had two small balconies! The hotel elevator is the smallest I have ever seen & only carries 1 person. It causes long delays to get to & from your room. Our room was also very small & uncomfortable on the 6th floor. Very very disappointing & poor value for money.

Best Western Empire Elysees was conveniently located, pleasant with friendly staff (English speaking if needed). The room was small as is common, nicely arranged though tight, clean room, good bed. The only down side was how icky the street outside was, dirty and smelly.

The hotel itself is rather plain and the rooms are ok. The primary reason to stay at this hotel is the access to the tourist sights including Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elyses. They are within 5 - 10 minutes walk. For the price one pays in Paris, it would be possible to get a 4 or 5 star hotel elsewhere.

After reading some of the reviews online, I thought this might be a reasonable place to stay for a short break. And it probably is, just not during their renovations - the hotel looked more like a building site than the official photos - no sign out front, plastering in progress, exposed cables in the main lounge and stairwells. A quirk of the bathroom - shower head pointed right at the door, so the whole place was soaked after anyone had used it. Walls throughout hotel are pretty thin - was woken up by revellers returning after midnight. All in all - probably overpriced, especially in current condition, but awesome central location. We stayed for a long weekend in Dec 2011. The hotel is well placed for the Arc de Triumph (about 4 minutes walk from the Etolie Metro stop and very close for the Air France Buses from CDG. Used this hotel as a last minute reservation for a business congress near Port Maillot. Compared to other 3 star hotels in Paris this was a pleasant surprise. Did not try out the breakfast. Was delighted about the free WiFi and friendly front desk.

Hotellet ligger bare noen få hundremeter fra Triumfbuen som er et fantastisk utgangspunkt for utforsking av Paris. Samtidig ligger hotellet i en liten, stille sidegate med dagligvarebutikk , cafe i samme kvartal. Rommet vi hadde var lite men greit nok - det så ut som det var nyrenovert, alt fungerte som det skulle inkl internett og klima. Det pågikk […] ytterligere oppgraderingsarbeider i hotellets resepsjonsområde og inngangsparti. I norge ville hotellet vært stengt men i Paris har de ikke råd til å stenge når slikt arbeid pågår. Betjeningen var utelukkende positiv opplevelse - hjelpsomme, snakket greit engelsk og alltid hyggelige. Frokosten kostet 14 euro ekstra per dag, noe som ga oss en ekstra regning på 100 Euro ved utskjekking. Ellers greit. Read more

Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Minuten vom Triumphbogen und der Champs-Élysées entfernt und somit ist es nicht weit bis zur Metrostation. Ideal also um Paris zu erkunden. Vom Flughafen aus mit dem RER leicht und schnell zu erreichen und auch der AirFrance Shuttelbus hält fast um die Ecke.
