We were very pleased. Good spot within an easy walk of the market & the front. Very handy (300 meters) from a bus stop which drops off from the airport (number 7 bus). Nice relaxing breakfast & peaceful garden to relax in.

A lovely hotel located in a quiet street but within easy walking distance of all the attractions in La Rochelle and benefitting from a large garden at the back of the hotel. A two miniute walk from the bus station which made the transfer from the airport simple and cheap. The bed in our room was huge, at least 8ft across, and the room was also large […] and airey with very quiet and efficient air conditioning. Everything was spottlessly clean. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as it seemed quite pricey. There are so many local cafes, including the beautiful Cafe du Paix nearby, which sell breakfast at a reasonable rate. The staff at the front desk were always friendly and polite and willing to recommend local restaurants and answer any questions. La Rochelle was a fantastic place to stay. Small enough to walk around but large enough to have plenty to do and hundreds of restaurants to choose from. The restaurants and cafes around the marketplace tend to be cheaper and less crowded than those on the quay side, although the Old Quay is a beautiful location. We were amazed that there was street after street of medieval white stone houses with arcaded walkways, keeping us cool in the hot sun and dry when it rained. There was a plentiful supply of shops of all descriptions and an excellent marketplace selling fresh fruit and veg, cheese, meat and sea food. The La Rochelle pass is worth buying as it gives free use of the buses, Yello bike hire and boat trips across the bay and to the beach at Minimes. It also gives discounts for many of the local attractions,but you do need to purchase these tickets at the same time you buy the pass, this isn't made clear by the staff in the Tourist Information Office. If you visit the Aquarium go between 8.30pm and 11pm as it is ridiculously busy during the day time. We would definitely recommend this hotel and La Rochelle for a short break. We went for 3 nights, although we could happily have stayed longer. Read more

Nous sommes tres satisfait de n otre sejour dans cet etablissement, l'accueil des notre arrivee fut parfaite, la chambre visiblement recemment refaite de tres bon gout ainsi que la salle de bain ,tres bonne literie ('ch 39) Le petit dejeuner continental dans le jardin fut un moment tres agreable pour commencer la journée, la situation, pres de la place […] de Verdun est tres bien, car pres du vieux marche, pas loin du tout du vieux port, sans les inconvenients du bruit, de plus si vous faites un footing, en sortant de l'hotel vous etes tout de suite dans les parc, bref excellent choix.
