My friend and I stayed two nights at this hotel. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly. They were very accommodating and very helpful. The hotel is very clean. The fitness room is great where sauna and steam room are available---interestingly, not a lot of people were using the facility during our stay. The hotel is very close to the train […] station. It is about 5 minutes walk. We took a midnight train (1:34 am) to Venice. We stayed in the lobby area until 1 am. On our way to the train station, we felt pretty safe of walking since the street light was bright and there were still traffic on the street. We will definitely stay at this hotel if we revisit Salzburg again. We strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit this city. Read more

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel is a five minute walk from the train station. The hotel room was spacious and clean. There is easy access to the city busses. It was a wonderful experience.

Quiet older hotel with lots of charm. Walking distance to alt stadt and many sites of interest. Good car park, strong wifi signal. Had a well prepared dinner and good breakfast that offered A full pot of coffee, eggs, sausage, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, vegetables, cereal, and of course a huge selection of breads and pastry.

Very convenient to train station, and 10 minutes to sites. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. We appreciated the kettle in our room with tea bags and coffee we could enjoy while we got ready. Although the hotel is a bit of a walk to the centre of the city it is worth it. The room was beautiful, equipped with a kettle and tea/coffee. I checked in to a small room on the first floor. I asked the front desk clerk if there were any more rooms left. He kindly changed my rooom to a higher floor and bigger room. Four of us stayed in a rather large family room very comfortably. We had ample room and air-conditioning, which was important in August! The beds were quite comfortable and the room was quiet. It was just a 5 minute walk to Mirabell Palace and gardens, where we enjoyed a free concert with a 25-piece orchestra. Another 5 minutes had us at the Theater, […] where the Marionetten shows and other musical performances are located. A couple minutes beyond that was the old town. The Achat Plaza Zum Hirschen was an excellent choice for our stay in Salzburg. I chose this hotel because it had good ratings, which were all true. It was a very short walk from the rail station and was also close to Hertz Rental Car, (also Avis nearby). We rented a car for 3 days and drove across the Grossglockner Road, to the Krimmler Waterfall, and […] back by Hallstatt. We were extremely pleased with the superior room, which had lots of room as well as a large ceramic bathroom. The breakfast was $12.00 euro per person and was a good value, with scrambled eggs and lots of other choices. We had complimentary bottled water in our fridge, as well as chocolates on our pillows. There was parking right behind the hotel for $6.00 euro per day. The service was wonderful and I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It would certainly be my first choice if staying again in the lovely town of Salzburg. Read more

This was our first hotel on our 5 week honeymoon in Europe and we were pleasantly surprised for the price of it. We got a big room facing the main street. It was relatively easy to access via bus from the airport and great location for when we left for Vienna. Internet was free and fast. While nothing about this hotel seemed really phenomenal, I can't think of anything that was poor, or even average. It was an above average experience overall. I liked how close it was to the train station, though that meant a bit of a walk to the historic center of Salzburg, but not an unpleasant one. This hotel is close to transportation and sights. Stayed in a triple room with minimal appointments with internet included in the room price. Due to the rainy weather, we decided to purchase breakfast and make it a leisurely morning. Although pricey by US standards, we were rewarded with a nice quality buffet of assorted European breakfast.
