The woman at the front desk was wonderful. However, when I checked out, there was a man watching TV and was very rude. He looked at me and said very roughly, she will be with you. Room is tiny, can not even find space for my suitcase. Heater does not work properly, neither does the fan in the bath room. Free breakfast is at a sit-down restaurant, good but very very slow. Not what you want when you're anxious to hit the slopes.

Stayed in a single room on Dec.22/23 2012. Very clean and comfortable, and would be great even for a couple. Breakfast is served restaurant-style, and was great with a decent number of choices. You are expected to leave a tip, which I thought was well deserved, as the waiter was very friendly and service extremely quick.

The hotel location is excellent. Close to Heavenly village and the lake. The rooms were clean and spacious and comfortable.. The location is great, quiet surroundings (our room was not facing the main road). The room was comfortable with air conitioning. Wifi was available which was a plus. Parking was available right ourside our room and it was free. The price was very reasonable especially considering it included a full breakfast of one's choice. I liked it very much. Hope to return to the Station House. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Brad and the chef at the restaurant made us feel at home. Great breakfast, and it's free. Can't beat that. They also gave us an upgrade to king-size. Quite generous. The room was spotless. No smoking. They mean it. My room smelled fresh. I slept […] well; if there was noise, I would have known. I would have given them a '5' for everything, but the Internet was down in our rooms. That was frustrating; and we didn't get any update the next day if they planned on getting it up and running. Also, there was no microwave in the rooms. My dad recommended this Best Western hotel-as he frequents the area a lot.. Like many other hotels in the area it is a little worn and aged on the outside, but they have done a great job in updating the inside. Pros-lots of pillows, updated bedding, furniture,carpeting, granite countertop and heat lamp in bath. Good coffee, mints by bedside, thick towels. […] I found upstairs room to be very quiet for peaceful sleeping. The pool and spa were nice and the place is tucked away from busy, popular areas but just up the street. Nice private beach a little walk away, down the street. But the kicker is the full breakfast in the adjacent restaurant-eggs,potatoes, bacon or sausage and toast. Awesome coffee, too! Just really a great value with the very decent room rate. We went to Lake Tahoe to see a concert at an outdoor amphitheater and this hotel was within walking distance. When we checked in, the front desk person was helpful and pleasant, the room was clean, and everything worked. The bed was really comfortable and so we slept later than we had planned. Room very small and cramped, did not help they added a stand up closet that took away half the bathroom counter.Toilet flushed loud and went on for a long time. We stayed at this Best Western the day before and on New Years eve. The price was highly inflated which was to be expected with the holiday; however, we were lead to believe there were no other vacancies in town. Driving up and down the streets in Tahoe was annoying seeing all the vacancy signs. This hotel has beautifully decorated rooms, and our room […] had a HUGE shower! The beds are more comfortable than any hotel bed I have ever experienced. Biggest downfall...they have about 50 parking spaces for 120+ rooms. Good, affordable choice for South Lake Tahoe. Hotel is basic, but clean and kept up. Guests have access to a private beach down the road, which is very nice. Great mountain views all around and a very nice patio restaurant.

It was our first time staying at BW, and it was better than I expected. The room was very clean, the bathroom has a lot of towels and clean. Over all the room has everything you need, even free Internet acces. Also very helpful the free breakfast, the service at the Restaurant was excellent. We'll definitely stay there again.
