The hotel itself is not half bad. We were upgraded on arrival to what they call a "suite" because it had a separate room with a sofa and it's own TV. The "bedroom" had two queen beds which is what we needed for our stay. In between the two rooms were the bathroom, a fridge, and a coffee maker area. There was a microwave in the sofa area too. It was […] definitely large enough for a family of 4. The area is not great as there is a park across the street that homeless people seem to gather at. The restaurant that is attached to the hotel is part of the hotel and gives you a "free" hot breakfast that was fine. The room was comfy, though the bathroom was about as rudimentary as it gets--shower with window that leaked cold air; great showerhead but water got on floor because there was just this tiny lip to keep it back. I have never seen a more genuinely happy staff. From the moment of check in to chatting with the man checking the pool chemical level, everyone was great. Having an actual restaurant for breakfast was so much nicer than a buffet style. The room was beautiful and the grounds were pristine. Honestly this was my best hotel experience in years.

Dan, our front desk clerk, was amazing! We got to the hotel 3 hours early and even though our room was not ready yet he offered to get it ready asap. We told him it was ok and that we would get a bite to eat then come back. He offered some places for lunch and even called ahead for us, gave us directions and even offered places for us to have dinner […] later on. He called us while we were on lunch to let us know our room was ready whenever we were ready. Julio was extremely nice and professional as well. Services of this hotel is excellent. However, the loud train noises at 2-4 am was so annoying! the hotel was located in an area which looked very unsafe. There is a publicly used road across hotel buildings. so you need to watch out for upcoming traffic when you are walking in the hotel.

We stayed overnight on New Year's Eve. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. We had one of the suites with plenty of sitting areas. The chairs were a little small. The bathroom does not have a fan and was stifling after showers. The jetted tub was very deep, but handrails were in the back - not great placement. The bed was a little stiff, but didn't keep me from sleeping comfortably. So this hotel wasn't the worst I've been to, but the hottest/noisiest. It was actually really clean, maintained and they even give you coupons! -10% off if you eat at their restaurant -2 for 1 drink coupons at their bar (karaoke thurs-sat nights, awesome turnout!!) -breakfast coupons (instead of a continental, you get free breakfast at the restaurant). […] Coupons were awesome and the staff was nice. Bad parts: -They turn off their AC in the "winter" (80 degrees is not winter to me) and don't tell you that its off so your only blowing hot air in when you turn the AC on. -It was impossible to sleep with how hot it was in that room, the window barely opens so that didn't help and opening the door was not an option with the sketch people hanging out outside the door. -There's a train that goes by at all hours of the night -Not a quiet neighborhood -Internet is extremely slow, don't bother with Hulu or Netflix after the cable doesn't work -Cable came in really staticy and was annoying to watch Read more

My only wish since the bedding was so plush and the room was very pleasant, is that the toilet paper could be improved (sand paper quality) and the facial tissues were scarce. The breakfast was skimpy but service was pleasant.

Although all rooms are non-smoking, there are cigarette butts and inconsiderate smokers all over the place. Worst offenders are the staff people themselves. My room "looked" clean, but closer inspection yielded several areas that haven't seen a dust cloth in ages. We had a wonderful time at the Best Western, loved the ameneties we were given. Close to the University, shopping, the mall and several site seeing opportunities. Very clean and the staff was very helpful. Had use of the hotel computer when we needed it. We will stay at Best Western's after this experience.
