We had a fine stay, the hotel and room were completely clean and quiet. Indoor pool is a great draw. We had a business meeting here and the tablecloths were stained, the WiFi did not work in the meeting rooms, I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn across the street or at the casino next time.

Well, this was a winner for my germ-a-phobic wife. It showed that Red Lion clearly recognizes that it matters that hotels do not was their comforters and were willing to address this issue. Well-done. My wife says she will stay in a Red Lion any time.

We went when the weather was cold and froze in our room. The lobby, the halls and restaurant were all very cold. We actually slept with our coats on and, needless to say, got very little sleep. Surprised because there were so many good reviews

Seems to be the new "hotel row", well east of failing Grants. Walmart right next door! Nonetheless, the hotel shows poor upkeep, with poor fixtures & caulking cracked, dirty carpet corners, and the like. Overall it was clean enough that I'd reluctantly stay again. Spa was hot, pool was pleasant. Nice breakfast.

The staff were poorly trained, not service oriented, Not rude, but not professional or pleasant. The pool area needs attention. You could see light around our door way from the hall. First room we were given had a large loose tile that my husband tripped over.

I feel bad that I couldn't give this place a higher rating. The staff couldn't have been any nicer, but the condition of the carpeting in the room and throughout the hotel was very bad. Especially in the restaurant. I don't know why but a filthy carpet just makes everything look that much worse. The food was okay, but the whole place needs cleaned up […] and everything needs replaced (carpet, serving tables, decor,). I know it's in a bit of a depressed area, and the things that need fixed would be very expensive, but being so close to Albuquerque, I think if they could do some repairs and replacements, they might get some business from travelers who don't want to spend alot of money in Albuquerque, or in my case, I couldn't find any hotels within my price range there because of the annual ballon festival. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I’ve stayed in many over the years. The staff was extremely rude when they checked us in and in the middle of the night when I called to complain. One lady just hung up the phone. The lobby looks very presentable with “rate us” signs everywhere but the hallway carpets are disgusting, the […] whole place smelled like smoke, the rooms are filthy, the bath tub didn’t drain, and the refrigerator didn’t work. It turned out the blow dryer also didn’t work and there was no microwave in the room. Overall the smell alone is a reason not to stay. I recommend the Quality In across the street. We started staying at this hotel when it was a Best Western and were delighted when Red Lion bought it and remodeled everything. It is an old hotel but very spacious and with the new upgrades very nice now. The rooms are extra big and since we always arrive really late, it is nice to have a restaurant/bar onsite. We stayed for a special event. The event center, food and staff were outstanding. Breakfast in the AM was amazing and they opened it up early for us(4:15am!!). Now to review the room......towels literally fell apart when used they were so thin. sink stopper non functional. bathtub stopper non functional as far as i could tell. Spend some money on some […] nice fluffy towels and fix the broken stuff if you are going to install granite tops. Overall room was clean but rooms still need more updating for 3 figures a night. right off the Interstate, a fair price and a fantastically filling breakfast! Got a reccomendation of where to eat dinner in town and that place was a disappointment. wish we would have eaten in house at their steak restaurant (which doubles as there breakfast buffet the next day) In room internet didn't work very well. Front desk staff was very friendly - even gave us a Welcome Doggie bag for our small dog! Room was really nice. One of our very best stays and experiences with the hotel front desk staff on a long cross-country trip. Glad we decided to stop here instead of in Gallup - would definitely stay here again.

Air conditioning in the room made lots of noise, but never did get the room cooled down. Fridge was left off prior to our arrival, so our cooler packs never did get refrozen overnight.
