Hotel did have some upgrades to the rooms themselves, however I was staying at the hotel for my sisters wedding and the reception was at the hotel and the hotel staff were very bad communicators. Every new shift person did not know what was going on at anytime of the day, they never knew what times events where happening and they also did not go out […] their way to improve. The hotel did not clean up very well either I would walk through the halls and see guests trays out of the door for days, rooms having doors opened up because of an event that happened 2 days prior, very poor detail oriented for other guests. This is not the Ritz. It is possibly the best Mid Range hotel that I have stayed at in my thirty something years of travel. I have had an extended stay in Jefferson City and while the city is limited the Hotel and staff have made the stay bearable. every staff member has been excellent. Could have been much better. The heat didn't work in my room. Maintenace came up and said to turn it off. After several hours I asked the front desk if it was just my room or all roomsthey said " You will have to check with mainance we wouldn't know."

Nicely located hotel. Condition of the hotel and rooms is ok. They forgot my breakfast, but were timely with my dinner. Overall, a good place to stay for business because they're centrally located, but certainly not in the top tier of hotels I've started in.

The hotel was fantastic, But I was really looking forward to the hot tub which was non existent. There is a cool picture that shows the hot tub, but it's been concreted over, so it was a big disappointment.

Check in went well, but check out was somewhat annoying ! The gentleman that checked us in was very polite, but as he was checking us out the other man remained seated behind the counter and joined our conversation and was rather surley. I know working with people day & day out he's probably become jaded, but his attitude made us and the gentleman actually […] checking us out, very uncomfortable . Hope he was just having a bad day and that was not the norm for him. Again the tall gentleman was dress very nice and was so polite. He represented the hotel very well. I had ask for a print out of our bill because I had paid in advance for two rooms. When my daughter-in-law arrived, I notice she gave her credit card to the girl at the other computer and she swiped it. Very courteous staff, excellent value. One complaint was a used bar of soap left in shower from previous tenant causing concern for thoroughness of rest of cleaning. However, seemed nice and clean and in safe, convenient location.

This is a nice looking hotel in a great location, but is in desperate need of updates. The lock on my door was broken and after two trips back downstairs to get new keys, maintenance had to break in for me and I just couldn't leave my room for the rest of the night, or they would have to break in again. Bathroom drain was slow draining. Refrigerator had not been clean. Staff was pleasant. Wished bar or something was open night before thanksgiving... They should turn the lights on in grand lobby and update colors in waterfall.

Lobby is lovely. Rooms even suites are a little stinky and very very dated/worn. Our room didn't have a closet door. That's not a huge deal but it does add to the worn out look and feel. When they renovate the rooms (coming soon) it should help but nothing can raise the ceiling height. I had stayed in this hotel several years ago and liked it, so made another reservation recently for just one night for my husband and me. Our floors ice machine didn't work and had to go one floor up. Not a biggie. We had excellent room service for breakfast with great food. We shared a meal and they brought utensils, juice, etc. for two. The only downside […] was we placed a call into the front desk for a wake up call that never came the next morning. We woke up on time anyway, but that was a disappointment. It wouldn't keep me from staying there again though. Short walking distance to the capital and river. Good location. Read more

This hotel would have looked outdated in the early 90s. It clearly hasn't been remodeled since then and is quite run-down. Pillows were ridiculously small and uncomfortable. Front desk staff were not polite or friendly.

Was very unhappy with check-in, the room was horrible, carpet was buckled and dirty, bedding was stained and old. The bathroom was clean, but the shampoo looked used and dirty! For what we paid I would have expected more!

It was a one night stay (Friday night through Saturday). They didn't have shampoo in the bathroom, which made me feel their staff doesn't do quality checks before leaving a room. The hotel was empty, garage was empty (only one other car). Nice and quiet. A little bit pricy for being empty. Didn't try the restuarant since the hotel was empty.

The location was very convenient for visiting with family & friends in Central MO. The staff was very attentive and accomodating. Plenty of place to dine within short driving distance off Missouri Blvd, Hwy 54, and Hwy50. My family would stay there again.

Several broken items, hot tub down(need to relax), one of the 2 elevators broken. Might have just hit the hotel at a bad time, otherwise a good place for business stay or family(nice salt water pool!!!) Pricing for Breakfast should be discounted to be competitive with other hotels in the area that are providing free breakfast. Need to open up rooms […] for larger families, I have 4 children, so I had to rent two rooms, although 1 suite with double bed and fold out couch is acceptable in most hotels. Read more

I was shocked to see the condition of this 3.5 star rated hotel. I would have preferred staying in a 2 star compared to the condition of my room. It smelled of stale cigarettes even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, had cigarette stains on the sink vanity, and the bathroom was so small you had to maneuver around the door and toilet to […] get to the bathtub, and your leg touched the toilet if two people were at the sink vanity at the same time. The pillows were flat and twin sized for a king size bed, but four were provided. It took me several hours to get used to the horrible stale smell in the room. The AC was very cold, to the point that we turned it off, b/c it was freezing on the lowest setting. I will not stay here again. Read more

Once you got past the entrance and lobby the establishment was a dump-dark-out dated. My family of 4 (2 adults, small child and infant) was surprised that there was not a refrigerator in the room. The front desk staff were not welcoming or friendly. I would not stay here again or recommend to others.

We arrived late. Check in hostess was very blaziaz at the least. HBoth sets of room keys were not properly keyed requiriing us to go back downstairs for new keys. No apologies for the inconvenience. Once in the room TV did not work. Technician had to come up and fix antanna wiring. By then it was already late. Next morning breakfast buffet was OK but […] the skin milk was sour. I went to Jefferson City for a conference. The hotel knew way ahead of time that we were attending. One of the two elevators was broke or set up for service the whole weekend. Also another group of soccer kids was schedule to arrive Saturday. The staff was nice and appologetic. I'm sure these problems came from higher up. My room was on the 8th floor […] and it smelled musty. The so called work out room had dated equipment. I did have a hot shower and the pool area was working. Another project they had going on was redoing carpet and some tile in what I think was supposed to be the dinning area. The bar area is open till 1:30 and Friday night it was loud down there. Saturday night there were kids running up and down the halls and one elevator till at least 12:00. I have had better rooms at so called lesser hotels. It really wasn't worth what I payed. Read more

The hotel was surprisingly dark and dingy. Our door lock didn't work properly. Instead of two doubles we were given a king with a pull out for four people. Staff seemed poorly organized.

Went for a conference and the food was just short of horrible. There were a few things that were ok but overall it was not good. The service was pretty much the same. One buffet ran out of plates and after waiting 10 minutes I had to go to the other line when finally a customer took plates from one buffet to the other because they still had not brought […] plates out. I saw one women try to get a cup of hot coffee pretty much the whole breakfast and finally went to another table for herself and got one. The rooms were alright but very dated. The hotel is noisy with the rooms opening into a central area that is used for receptions and other activities. But the worst thing were the pillows. They should be called Jacob's pillows for the Bible says that he took a rock and rested his head on it. The pillows were like rocks and we were not the only ones that noticed and complained.

The hotel didn't have my reservation and the night clerk gave me the run around about getting a room. My room was filthy with stains on the comforter, hair in the bathroom, and dirty cups. I won't be staying here in the future.
