People are nice - nothing really wrong with hotel.

Slightly thin walls but overall a really nice hotel for the money.

I was in a room in the upper floor. They had a large group of people in the two room directly under our room. I could hear their tv and their conversation better than I could hear the tv on my room. These people stay laughing and screaming until 2:00 am It's bad when room are built like that.

Our first room had not been made up. We were given a new room, this had not been made up either. The 3rd room looked ok but the we found previous occupant's used towel in the bathroom!

Great room for the money. Very spacious. Looks like they just remodeled.

This hotel is very convenient for walking to downtown and restaurants. The room I had (#112)was noisy with water heaters or some type motor.

I wanted a hotel a notch up from the 2-star reviews. I went with this one for a 1-night stay while I had activities at the university. The room was just OK. The bed was in good shape, but on the verge of poor. The sheets were sub-standard. Bathroom was a strange layout but recently remodeled. The walls were paper-thin, so I could hear the neighbor listening to football and CNN throughout the night and into the morning. Wouldn't recommend this hotel. There are nicer hotels a few doors down. Breakfast in the morning consisted of bagels, 3 cereals, juice, oatmeal, coffee, muffins and toast. I was expecting to have a danish or a wider selection.

Overall everything was fine. Continental breakfast was nice. Room was in dire need of new or cleaned carpet.

Bed was too firm. Room needed to be aired out, smelled musty. No refrig, or microwave. Pool was murky, jacuzzi like bath water. We survived the night but would most likly not return unless we needed that location specifically. Priced too high for those conditions.

The room was clean, I had a good nite's sleep (got a second floor unit) service was great at the front counter. I did not know what to expect but was wonderfully suprised.

We found that this hotel was clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. It was a convenient walk or trolley ride to the downtown area. Stay here on a Thursday night and check out the weekly Farmer's Market, a local hang out spot with lots of food, shopping and music.

At first we were disappointed we couldn't get a room in Paso, but then found SLO to be a cool town in the central coast and regretted leaving this hotel. It is just a bit out of comfortable walking distance to downtown. The 2nd floor room we stayed in was larger than expected and had a solid oak TV cabinet along with newly renovated bathrooms. The only complaint is that, for some reason, the sink was very small. Felt it was good value for the money.

I stayed here with my infant and husband. It was quiet, close to downtown and food. The front desk was super friendly and the breakfast was much more then just pastries and OJ. The rooms must have recently been redone because they were very clean and nice. A tad on the small side but that was the only down side.

Very curteous staff, not the best looking rooms but they were good for price in this area.

Was only 200 yds from the meeting site. Room was nice.

I like no-frills hotels that are clean and safe at a fair price. So this was the perfect hotel for me. If you need a no-frills hotel stop looking and book your room. My room did not have a bath tub, only a stand-up shower. This would have been an issue if I were traveling with my wife, who likes to soak in the tub.

The hotel staff was wonderful and friendly and upgraded me to a kingsize bed. The coverlet on the bed was stained and made me so sick to look at that I folded the covers over on themsleves so I would not have to touch it. I was also placed in the handicap bedroom. Unless your 5'10" your feet can not rest comfortably on the ground while on the toilet. I don't think people should be given this room unless requested. The hot tub and pool were dirty. The best part about this hotel was the proximity to the college and to downtown. I will not be back. There are quite a few other hotels on the same street that I would stay at.

We arrived an hour before the normal check-in time and were pleasantly surprised that the the desk clerk accommodated our request to check in early. We gave us a very quiet room at the back of the property. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the room and the overall quiet atomsphere. Except for a few cobwebs on the ceiling, the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast could be improved with a few vegetarian offerings like yogurt and soymilk.

Good basic hotel just off the highway. Service was very friendly.

The hotel was in a good location, great places to eat all in walking distance. Room was clean, lots of pillows and bathroom water pressure was great! The only downer would be the beds. They should be updated, I found then to be a bit squeaky and uncomfortable, but you get what you pay for! I had a great time in SLO regardless!

I would recommend the hotel staff go through a class on customer service and friendliness. They were rude and did not smile! I mean it is San Luis Obispo, how bad can it be?
