The room was clean and well maintained. The hotel is centrally located (but the town is only about 10 blocks long and 5 wide) Our primary purpose was to visit Bodie and spend a day photographing the town. The pictured pool is more a large hot tub spa and was closed when we were there.

We stayed at the Ruby Inn because it was a convenient stopping place the day we left Yosemite. There was nothing wrong with the room, but the price, which was completely out of line for an old, small, dark, 50's-style motel room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but we certainly could have found that elsewhere for a lot less money.

Biker friendly, they even provide towels for you to wipe down your ride after a long day on the highway or a dusty ride out to Bodie. Highly recommended!!

Glad that I can say that i stayed the night in Bridgeport. I like the way that the town has never let the hands of time change it. However, the price of gasoline in this fine township is 395 highway robbery! Glad I didn't need any!

The air conditioner was old and loud. Thankfully we didn't need to use it once we went to bed. The TV did not work and then we discovered that it was not plugged in. But we could not plug it in because the plug was behind a big heavy piece of furniture that we could not move. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Service was fine. I spent three nights at the Ruby in while sight-seeing over the Christmas weekend. I was happy with the accommodations and the service. The price was reasonable, too. Whenever I spend time in Mono County in the future, I expect the Ruby Inn will be my first choice.

Helpful staff directed us to nearby town of Bodie - a gold rush miner's town now State funded ghost town in restoration. Clean pleasent stay between Yosemite Eastgate and Lake Tahoe.

There's not much to choose from in Bridgeport, but if you find accommodations at Ruby Inn, you will not be burned. Except for the high price for the room, which is in line with your other choices in this small burg. We were tired of sitdown breakfasts & welcomed the more than adequate "continental" brkfst here. There are other hotels in this area much cheaper. Our fridge had mold in it and the hair dryer broke. The room was too hot and the air conditioning system worked but only after a couple hours of being on. I wouldn't stay here another night- probably try one of the other hotels in this area.

Clean, comfortable room. The bed was fine. It has a refrigerator and microwave (in the closet) and a table and two chairs so my wife and I could use our computers simultaneously. It has bot wi-fi and wired ethernet. No easy chairs for reading, but the two chairs it did have were OK for that. I had a tube-type TV that we didn't use. 7:30 continental […] breakfast, HB eggs, Safeway bagels, juice, fruit and muffins, which was good, because no place was open in Bridgeport for breakfast (one was on vacation and one didn't serve breakfast off-season (during the winter.) We were there March 17th. Still, it was quite satisfactory for the AARP and AAA rate charged. Sounds from the other reviews that it is more expensive in season though. Read more

Comfortable bed and remodelled bathroom but the room was very small with dirty carpeting. The plumbing was loud enough to wake us. Breakfast was a basic and packaged as can be. Big city rates in a small town left us feeling ripped off.

This is a lovely small motel. The grounds are nice, a lot of benches and even a big jacuzzi. Hotel staff is nice, they offer breakfast in the morning even tough they don't have a breakfast room. You really feel that someone takes good care of this motel and that they want to provide a good experience to their guests. The room was completely OK, nothing […] fancy, but enough space, a good bed, a fridge, coffee maker, hairdryer, overall good atmosphere. It is maybe a bit pricy but everything in this region is. We don't feel like we were ripped off though, it was an OK value for price. Only downside, and it doesn't concern the hotel as such, but the town of Bridgeport. Bridgeport is a nice town, a lot of old and very impressive buildings (Court house amazing!), the restaurant choice though is restricted. The main problem were the mosquitos. On our whole 4 week tour through 7 States we never met so much mosquitos. A five minute walk means at least 10 stings. It's incredible. I don't know if it was the season (end of August), but it's really bizarre. Make sure you bring a good spray! Anyway, I recommend Ruby Inn. Read more

Hallo, das Hotel ist in Ordnung - etwas überteuert, was mit der Lage zu erklären ist. Wenn man Früh genug bucht sollte man direkt in Le Vining buchen, da man sich 1,5h Autofahrt spart oder noch besser direkt im Park.

Ordenliches Hotel, liegt verkehrsgünstig zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten Mono Lake und Bodie. Gut geeignet für eine Übernachtung auf dem Weg nach Norden oder vor der Fahrt nach Westen über den Tioga- oder Sonora-Pass. Liegt an einer Durchgangsstrasse und kann deshalb bei geöffnetem Fenster nachts etwas laut sein. Frühstück ist bescheiden.

De prijs kwaliteitsverhouding is erg scheef. Veel betalen voor niet meer dan andere hotels op onze reis boden. Zij hebben een monopolypositie. Er is helaas weinig keus, dus kom je wel op dit hotel uit.
