The loose fauset for the sink was annoying and the make it work drain pluming that is going to start leaking soon was annoying. Hotels always use the lowest bidder or worst yet some relaitve to do the pluming and it shows. Why do hotels install white bath tubs? Full breakfast? Not in the least. Everything was cold except for the make your own waffles which were sub-par themselves! Cold cereal, cold gravy, cold biscuits. No fruit and all of the beverages were out and we had to ask for them to be refilled while we waited - 10 minutes to fill the carafes. Our room was sub-par for the price we paid. Paid the same […] nightly rate just two weeks prior at the hotel across the street and had MUCH better service, a MUCH nicer room, and a HOT breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon & 2 flavors of waffles offered on the breakfast bar, plus all of the cold options - bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt & FRESH fruit!!! Won't EVER stay here again when I can get 5 stars for the same price just across the street! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I thought the employees were wonderful!! Very friendly and helpful. The grounds and the lobby were well maintained. The room was clean. The location was perfect for me. I felt safe. I felt the price I paid was a little steep. The sheets were rather worn, the towels were dingy, and the refrigerator didn't seem to work all that well.
"GOOD STAY FOR THE MONEY"

Ive had more options for breakfast at other Best Westerns but what they had served it's purpose and was good enough. I did like the little Waffles though. I asked for a smoking room and got it but my room was too smoky. I sprayed though and found that to be ok. But I did not smoke not 1 cigarette in that room at all. Overall the stay was very nice and the workers were all very pleasant.] I will stay their again.

The hotel was clean, smoke-free, comfortable, and had a friendly staff. The breakfast is nothing to brag about but ok if you just want a yogurt, toast/bagel, raisin bran or hard boiled eggs to tie you over until lunch. If you have a pet it costs extra and this is not a deposit...you don't get that money back even if your room is left in immaculate condition. La Quinta is as good a hotel as this one and they don't charge extra for pets. But overall experience was good.
"Get a count of items in the room"

Everything was fine; ac went out but that's was okay because of the cool front, but on my drive home a get a call telling me they're missing items out of one of the rooms we reserved; I proceeded to tell them we didn't have the items; I get three more calls with the same questions and I provided the same answer with a few more explicits.......Ruined what could have been a very nice trip overall.
"Affordable, but not great"

I had stayed across the street on my last visit, but wanted to try different hotels in the area for comparison. The room was ok, the check in staff was good, but was not thrilled to see the dead cockroach in the bathroom light fixture. I will definitely stay in the original hotel next time,.
"Never stay here"

Very strong urine smell as soon as i opened the door. As I got further in the room, there was a smell of feces. Two of the lamps had broken switch and had to be operated by turning the bulbs loose or tight. Front desk said there were new mattresses, but I awoke with a back ache. My only regret was that I did not just leave but had paid on the internet and not sure I would get a refund.
"OK for a man on a business trip"

This is an older newish property and it shows wear and tear, from some of the damaged plastic siding to the debris accumulation in the parking lot. The room was clean and adequate, internet access was difficult but adequate. Bed was comfortable and bed linens were good. Bath linens were a little thin, but no thread bare and holey as was the case at a Lubbock hotel. The staff was very pleasant, free breakfast fell short of expectations. The web site plays this hotel up, it is not exactly as advertised. This is mostly a smoking hotel, even the few non-smoking rooms like mine had a smoky aroma. Trains run in the back yard off-and-on all night, and the lack of weather stripping around the exterior access door allows the noise, light, and smoke to creep in. There are other hotels in Kilgore, one of them might be a better choice for a woman traveling alone.
"My stay in Emory"

Excellent Hotel, Very good staff, Wonderful Bar, Outstanding Breakfast. I just had a very good time at that location. I had to travel about 20 miles out of the way because the Hotel in Sulphur Spring had a fire.
"Worst hotel ever!"
We stayed at this hotel for one weekend, and it was the worst experience! Not only were the workers rude, they also didn't seem to be pleased what so ever. When we arrived at this hotel it looked nothing like the picture posted on the website. Soon checking in we noticed there was a lot of bugs inside where you check in! The lady at the front desk was rude, and also would not listen to what we were saying! When we were finally checked in and went to our room we noticed there was even more bugs, and they were also inside the room! There was cockroaches all over the bathroom floor, and we had no towels! This room looked like it hasn't been clean for days, and the smell was repulsive! That first night, not only did the beds smell and feel very uncomfortable, but upon wakening there was a cockroach in one of the beds! Also there so called "hot breakfast" consisted of nothing to drink, little coffee, no milk for cereal, moldy fruit, very little pancake mix, and one or two hard boiled eggs! It was like this both mornings and both nights! This hotel was by far the worst place to stay! And then the pool was very dirty, I didn't even want my kids to touch that water! This awful two night experience costed $113.75, and that includes our free one night stay! I highly recommend no one stays at this hotel ever! It is the most disgusting hotel on this planet!
