The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and kitchen were nice and I loved that the windows opened for some fresh air. The beds were not as comfortable as I would have hoped as I stayed there for a week. Housekeeping cleaned my room twice in 6 nights. I am used to housekeeping knocking at the door at 10am at other hotels, so to […] leave for the day and return at 4pm and my room still not serviced, is a disappointment. The breakfast buffet was not appetizing- cold eggs and the coffee was not good. The fire pit outside is a nice touch but I only saw it on one time. The WIFI connection was awful. Seriously, how can this have a 4.2 score? We stayed here 4 nights in the middle of our 2 week trip to Vegas/San Diego/LA and this was a highlight. The hotel had everything a family with small children would ever want. A kitchen with a full size refrigerator, separate sleeping area for the kids on the pull out sofa bed with their own nice LCD TV, coin […] operated laundry (huge when trying to pack light with a family), awesome free breakfast that eliminated the need for lunch or a big dinner, and a great staff that was always willing to help those who needed it. Seriously, this is everything a family would want when away from home. The hotel is about a 20-25 minute drive from the Midway Museum, Sea World, Zoo, Safari Park...but for the cost and great hotel it is more than worth it. The ONLY downside...please add another waffle maker. :) There were a few times where I thought someone was going to get hurt when line jumping over waffle use. The hotel only has one waffle maker and with the time it takes to make them lines formed everyday and we just had to give up a few times waiting. For a hotel this wonderful, an extra waffle maker should be an easy request to grant...otherwise this was one of the best hotels I have stayed at for our family and we have been at hotels all over the planet. This hotel was a pleasure to stay at. We had a large group in one room and the 2 bedroom suite with 2 seperate bathrooms was amazing. Breakfast was excellent. They switched it up everyday and the food was good. Not just the boring continental stuff. Amenities were also great. We have been coming as a soccer team for over 5 years. This is our hotel of choice. Super good breakfasts, clean rooms, hot showers, hot spa and pool....and, we always reserve a suite, as it fits our way of life. Stores and malls are close and convenient and we are also not far from fun activities in and around SD.

Enjoyed our stay. Almost all aspects of the facility and service were very good, and good value. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. The only negative note was a noisy air conditioner.

The hotel is clean and pleasant and about a 20 minute drive to most San Diego attractions. Although we had reserved the room for 2 adults and 2 children, upon our arrival in the evening, I discovered the sofa bed wasn't made up. There were no sheets to make the bed and we were also not provided enough towels. It took nearly an hour for someone to provide […] these to us. Didn't feel like much of a start to vacation when I had to place linens on the sofa bed myself! The breakfast is great...lots to choose from and the hotel staff are friendly. There was even dinner included (Tues-Thurs) from 5:30-7:30 although once we left the attractions around 7pm, we didn't make it back in time to enjoy the free dinner. It was an unexpected bonus, anyway. The pool was heated to 84 degrees and there is a basketball hoop for kids to play. The lobby is a nice place for guests to congregate. It's nice to have the full kitchen, though we didn't use it at all b/c we mainly were in San Diego to take in the kids attractions. Read more
