The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

Price at the restaurant was high ei $16.00 for glass of house wine. Gym under reno and card for other facility didn't work

We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.

"Swiming pool?"
That is not a swiming pool! a 30" deep pool is a waste of the hotel installations. Nobody can swim in that.

"Complentary half-drunk can of Coke."
Convenient location for NDG, Hampstead, Snowdon, but otherwise out of the way Room was fine except for half a can of coke, a banana and crumpled papers left on the counters ... Cmon!

The staff was friendly. The hotel is what it is. Don't expect too much. The bathroom seemed clean.
"Filthy hotel"
This hotel is like staying at grandma's cabin. It is old, doors, windows and locks are broken. Smoke detector was hanging by its wires off the ceiling. The place is dirty, smelly and moldy.
"Basic"
Hotel is real basic and is in need of an upgrade. Dont take a room on the top floor, the elevator does not go all the way to the top. Hotel is NOT handicap friendly.
"Needs Improvement"
We arrived after three in the afternoon. Check in time was three. The rooms were not ready. Also, we told the consierge that the couple that was with us had a hard time with steps. They gave us rooms where we needed to go up a flight of steps. We asked the to please change the rooms, which they did, but gave us rooms where we needed to go down a flight […] of steps. "Great out of the way place"
I chose this hotel so I could avoid staying downtown. It's a few blocks from a subway station, has free parking (many downtown hotels say they have parking, but it's really metered street parking), and has a few stores and a mall nearby. The fitness room had some broken machines, but there was a pool, which I didn't know in advance. The room was clean […] and the continental breakfast was alright. Read more

"Je n'y retournerai pas ..."
Les corridors et la chambre ne sentaient pas bon, la décoration est affreuse, la porte du garde-robe était arrachée, il y avait un trou dans le mur. À mon arrivera chambre etait tres froide 16 ou 17 degré. Un seul système de chauffage d'appoint efficace mais très bruyant sans thermostat !
"Quality Hotel Midtown is good midrange"
We just stayed in Quality Hotel Midtown for the 3rd time. We particularly selected it because it is close to the target of our visit. And it was good enough to meet our needs. Every time we had a lot of work during our visit, thus, we couldn't rate spa, swimming pool, restaurant etc. The rooms are ok, very clean, having all we need, everything is working, […] furniture is ok but a bit old and shabby. loin du métro, hall bruyant , j'y suis resté 2 jours le lit n'a pas été fait entre les 2 nuits :( petit dejeuner gratuit mais trés moyen, la machine à jus distribuait du jus de pomme chaud!!!)
