The front desk attendant seemed a bit harried at times, but was very helpful. Five star service. We were first given a room on the 2nd floor that smelled of paint. I already had a headache & immediately called the front desk to see if we could get another room. He called back immediately and we moved t a room on the 3rd floor. Our event was in Deland, but we chose to stay here because of bad hotel ratings and airplane noise in Deland. I'm glad we did. Me, my wife and two 8 year olds stayed here. The three of them loved the room. The only thing I disliked is that the beds are not firm like I'm used to. They are extremely soft. If you like sinking into a bed, and sleeping on […] your back, you'll do fine. They had two choices of pillows in the room, clearly marked as soft or firm, so that was nice. The room itself was very quiet. Couldn't hear any noise from adjacent rooms other than doors closing out in the hallway. The breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs, bacon, hot cinnamon rolls, muffins, cereal etc. They didn't have waffle makers which was a disappointment to my wife and kids, and the pancake maker was either broken or just not available for use that day, but the rest of the food made up for it. A computer in the lobby for internet access with a printer was nice for people like me who don't like to drag alot of stuff on vacation with us. Overall a great stay for the 4 of us. If my son had been there, we probably would have rented a condo just because cycling air conditioners in hotel rooms wake me up all the time. Would rather have nice, quiet, central ac. Read more

Granted this is not the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons but you are treated with dignity and respect at this hotel just as you would at the expensive ones. The only real negative is housekeeping services. Several times housekeeping came to the room and did not change sheets as requested nor cleaned bath tub. Since we had our son with us, we wanted daily clean, however if the room was cleaned it was not until 3 or 4 pm. We had asked for morning cleaning each time which never occured.

A grat hotel to stay at. I only stayed one night but all the approval were met. Good friendly people at the front desk lobbby. Nice clean and neat rooms. All good from start to finish....even the continental breakfast was nice.

I was given a Handicap Room. I could not fit under the shower head. The room was smelling of mold and even the bed was damp. I asked for a new room and the front desk refused to help me. I will never stay in a Holiday Inn again. I would rather be at motel 6. I am a guy that trevels alot and spends alot so I can be comfortable.

1st visit 2 weeks prior- had frig in room- as stated on website- available, this vist- no frig and wanted 10.00. Didnt like that- Overall- good bed, nice pillows-- makes a difference, price reasonable

One thing more to add to dirty hotel and bad service is that the mattress was so old and out of date I was not able to sleep on it I had to sleep sheets on the floor. When I asked for a new room they told me hotel was all booked up

R oom was next to elevator, very loud and noisy each time it was used and that was frquent. There was dust in/ on the coffee pot, the dresser and rim of mattress had hair and dust . It was gross. And NO HOT WATER...which I asked if this problem was cleared up frm past reviews

Our stay here was pleasant. The only negative would be that you could easily hear your neighbors and on the second floor, just about anyone walking and talking outside. This could be a concern if you sleep very lightly and have noisy neighbors but it was not an issue for me.

Rooms were big, bathroom huge, great location. Breakfast in the morning was average, but well kept. Bed too soft, but comfortable chairs. Could use grab bar in shower . DO NOT cancel your reservation however, you'll get charged. Actually ended up spending 3 additional unplanned nights without hesitation.

We had a "suite" which was nothing more than a oversiezed room with a divider. The heat and air conditioning was like a drive up motel with a baseboard loud motor unit. The room was damp from some unknown reason and the maid service failed to leave coffee one day and soap the next. Would have done better at a Days Inn.

This wasn't one of the Holiday Inn Expresses finer properties. There was a consistent smell of cigarette smoke coming from somewhere, the air conditioning unit was very loud, and the pillows left much to be desired. However, the Breakfast was excellent. I'd probably look around for a different hotel if I was to stay in the area again.
