I and my wife stayed in Zurbaran for approximately one week in May 2011. The hotel is rather mediocre. I would not call the hotel staff openly hostile, but they were neither particularly friendly, nor helpful. The receptionists seemed to be annoyed by any simple requests (like fix an air conditioner, or provide us with towels that the day maid forgot […] to provide us with, etc). Initially we got a pretty big room with a nice balcony. Instead of a one double bed that we have reserved we got two twin beds. In a couple of days we were able to move into a new room with a double bed. That room however was much smaller, there was no English cable channel, and the balcony was much smaller. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are kind of seedy, but not too bad. Since Palma de Mallorca is a relatively small town you can reach most destinations on foot. Public transportation is pretty efficient and easy to access from the hotel. Room service did not exist, which was just an inconvenience on one occasion. There was a free internet service in the room, which was a plus. Room interior was not too terrible, just with multiple small deficiencies (shower did not quite work, bathroom window did not quite open, etc). I am certain that we will visit Mallorca again, but I don't think I will be staying in Zurbaran next time. Read more

This hotel was more than I expected! All three shifts of staff were really friendly & helpful and spoke english. I will stay here again when I come. Walking around this city, I recommend-see a lot (or can take city bus to city center). How to get from PMI airport to hotel: take Bus 1 to Paseo Mallorca & Av Jaume III streets, walk a block-(across the […] street from El Corte Englais store to bus stop) Bus 3, 20, or 46 to Joan Miro stop, then walk 2 blocks up hill and 1 block left to hotel in a nice, quiet neighborhood (only costs approx 4 Euros from airport to hotel). We had a lovely stay at Hotel Zurbaran - it is not suitable for older people as is uphill. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent and we found it very good value. Will certainly return if we go to Palma again.

The hotel is close to the touristic area of Palma. The room was nothing special (e.g., 14" TV), however it was clean. Also, there was a balcony. The hotel is located in a very convenient location, as the bus stop is just 200 m far away.

Nice enough hotel. Some of the reception staff could maybe have been a bit friendlier, but they were ok and got things done on the whole. Not the best location, as a bit of a hike into town, but worth it in my view for the cost saving. Some people were there in groups and behaved a bit selfishly in that they were noisy and didn't seem to care about […] other guests. I guess this is always a risk in a smaller hotel, as any one group becomes a sizeable chunk of the total number of guests and is hard to overlook, eg in the breakfast room, if they 'take it over'. This hotel is quaint, sitting on a back street in Palma. The rooms are simple and require a card to keep the A/C on. The staff are accommodating, and try to help resolve problems. The breakfast is acceptable but needs a faster turnover, and some items are not fresh. Overall a two star rating, IMO.

Det er en privatperson der levere meget dårlige biler - nedslidt og dårligt vedligeholdt, og der er altså ikke et stort firma bag det hvis der skulle ske noget. L'hôtel est situé à 20 minutes à pied environ du centre de Palma, mais très proche des lignes de bus qui vont à la belle plage de Cala Mayor et dans le centre-ville. Sehr nettes kleines Hotel nicht weit vom Zentrum von Palma. Entlang der schönen Hafenpromenade ist man in 15 Gehminuten im Zentrum. An der Rezeption sitzt eine freundliche junge Dame, die sehr gut Deutsch spricht und sehr hilfsbereit ist. Wir würden immer wieder in dieses Hotel fahren.

Ich hatte auf Mallorca eine Fortbildung und bin dann nach der Fortbildung ein paar Tage länger geblieben. Das Hotel lag zu Fuß ungefähr eine halbe Stunde von Palma entfernt. Hierzu sollte gesagt sein, dass das Hotel an einem Berg liegt und man gut zu Fuß sein sollte. Es sind leider auch nicht viele gute Restaurants in der Nähe zum Abendessen. Im Hotel […] kann man ja nur frühstücken. Als Alleinstehende Person würde ich mich nicht nachts auf die Straße trauen, da es eher eine etwas schäbige Umgebung ist. Das Hotel ist ansonsten o.k in der Nebensaison. In der Hauptsaison, wenn die Zimmer alle belegt sind und man das Pech hat einen Zimmernachbar mit lauter Stimme und Handy zu haben, kann man das gesamte Gespräch mitverfolgen. Die Betten sind gut und das Badezimmer ist auch o.k. Ich hatte nur am ersten Tag den Handtuchhaler in der Hand. Der war nicht fest mit der Wand verdübelt und die Klimaanlage hat etwas muffig gerochen. Ansonsten kann ich das Hotel emphehlen für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ausreichend. Man sollte allerdings nicht zuviel von dem "großen" Frühstück erwachten, es ist eher durchschnittlich. Dafür ist das Personal sehr nett und kann meistens auch gut deutsch. Read more

He estado en este hotel durante tres días (2 noches) y la amabilidad ha brillado por su ausencia desde el primer momento. La verdad es que hemos estado muy a disgusto y la recepcionista que nos atendió y el que estaba por la noche eran unos auténticos desagradables. En la recepción no te facilitan absolutamente nada. Una de las noches pedimos hielo […] y nos dijo el chico de la recepción que no tenían hielo cuando en el vestíbulo del hotel hay una pequeña cafetería. La habitación es pequeña,incómoda y el aire acondicionado no funciona correctamente (hay que saber que cuando se abré el balcón se apaga automáticamente) y que si estás fuera todo el día, el aire acondicionado no funciona hasta que tú no llegas e introduces la tarjeta de la habitación, algo comodísmo en el mes de julio si hace algo de calor. El baño es pequeño, con una pila minúscula. En nuestro caso, en la habitación en la que estábamos, nos dimos cuenta de que teníamos un visitante inesperado, una enorme cucaracha de la que nos tuvimos que deshacer. ¡TODO UN LUJO! A todo lo anterior se suma que en pleno siglo XXI (creo que estamos en el año 2012) la habitación cuenta con TV con antena parabólica y vídeo, una televisión minúscula con vídeo incorporado para reproducir cintas VHS que no sé si alguien todavía en la era de los DVD´s, MP3, MP4,... utilizará. El hotel está en una calle estrecha a la que hay que acceder a través de un empinada calle y las vistas de la habitación son la casa de enfrente. El desayuno bastante normalito y el zumo es tan artificial que da grima tomarlo. En cuanto a la prensa, solo estaba disponible y no a primera hora un periódico (El Periódico). ¡Qué diferencia de la "prensa en lobby del Hotel " de lo anunciado en su web! Desde luego, no pienso volver a este hotel y espero que nadie vuelva a él hasta que no mejore porque su tarifa tampoco es que sea regalada. P.S.: Lo positivo es que está a unos 20 minutos en cuesta el castillo de Bellver. Read more

Die Lage ist sehr gut, abseits der Meerespromenade in einem ruhigem Wohngebiet. Das Hotel ist leicht mit dem Flughafenbus Linie Nr. 1 zu erreichen. In der Nähe gibt es Supermärkte und zahlreiche Bars und Restaurants. Das uns zugewiesene Zimmer war leider schlecht renoviert und die Sauberkeit hätte besser sein können. Stadsdelen Terreno var en gång i tiden Palmas nöjes- och hotellcentrum. I dag är det en lite sliten del av Palma stad, men asfalten har börjat blomma. Och det syns. Det märks att man vill rusta upp kvarteren. Det finns en del igenbommade nöjesställen, som aldrig kommer att öppna igen. Andra som borde stänga för gott. Dessutom en liten grupp drog- och […] alkoholmissbrukare på gatorna som drar ner betyget för helheten i Terreno. Men i stort är det en mycket charmig stadsdel. Hotell Zurbarán har ett utmärkt läge, ett par kvarter, bara några få minuters promenad till huvudgatan Juan Miro. Långt mycket mer centralt placerat än hotellen längre söderut i samma område. Priset är också tilltalande. Hamnpromenaden vid Paseo Maritimo är bara ett kvarter bort och Palma centrum är inom bekvämt gångavstånd, annars går bussarna mycket frekvent. Zurbarán har ett prisvärt frukosterbjudande i en ljus och trevlig matsal. Här finns ingen pool, men det är också det enda som saknas. Det är professionell service i receptionen, tydligt att detta inte i första hand är ett turisthotell utan har verksamhet året runt, troligen med en stor del affärsresenärer som väljer ett lågbudgetalternativ. La chambre est un peu petite mais très bien entretenue. La salle de bain a une très agréable douche . Le petit déjeuner est très cher pour le service. Nous avons préféré le prendre à l'extérieur.
