Hotel Algarb - Ibiza Island

My friend and I stayed in the algarb for 3 nights. We came to Ibiza to party,but that didn't mean we had no intention to sleep! Our room was supposed to be one of the best rooms in the hotel and I basically arrived, exhausted,at 5am on the first night to find a muddy footprint on my white sheets and two spots of blood. I didn't even want to sleep in […] my bed after seeing that but literally had no choice cos I was so darn tired! Anyway,we were woken up at about 7am by people screaming n chanting by the swimming pool as the hotel operates a v popular all inclusive deal where guests are basically open to use a free bar throughout the day. You can imagine how rowdy the guests were!! Also,we had loads of problems with our showers which were dribbling out boiling hot and then freezing cols water. We did complain about this,but the problem was only temporarily fixed. To be fair to the hotel,the staff were very very nice and helpful. Also its located right on a really gorgeous beach and near all the great bars and restaurants in Playa d'en Bossa. Also,its really reasonably priced. Great for those who are purely in Ibiza to drink 24/7 and not sleep. Not for those who are used to a bit more class and have hygiene standards. Read more

Minimal hotel in an ideal location. The hotel itself was not flashy or extravagent by any means but it served its purpose for a good price. Tolerable hotel- if you are there to party and dont see yourselves needing much from the rooms. Broken elevator means long waits and crowded lifts. If you want access to a party but dont want drug dealers and strippers knocking on your door 2 x a day its prolly a decent choice. Good location, right across the road from Burger King, supermarket & restaurants & a taxi rank. Surrounded by shops and bars. 10 min walk to Bora Bora, 12mins walk to Space. Walk straight out from the pool area onto the beach - the seaweed seems to get raked up along the beach in the area outside the hotel so its always nicer than the rest of the beach […] front! Our room was on the top floor, ocean & pool views, and the rooms on either side cannot see around onto your balcony. It was clean & spacious. We went for the closing parties, so it wasn't packed out, we never had any problems with noise, but there were many guests and the pool lounges were full everyday by 11am. The reception staff all spoke english and were knowledgeable and helpful, front desk is staffed 24/7. We booked and pre-payed online, and there was no problem with our room or booking when we arrived. We bought our club tickets from the club guy at reception - he knew all the best parties, what time people would arrive, how to get there etc. The free wi-fi in the lobby works well and it is a huge space with so many comfy couches, you can just chill in your own space without someone reading your facebook over your shoulder. We didn't go the all included, just the breakfasts - which is awesome. Huge buffet spread - toast, crossiants, pastries, cereal, juice, eggs, bacon, cold meats, fruit, crepes & omlettes on demand and more with a huge dining room overlooking the ocean. Read more

We arrived at the hotel at 2am to find that they would not check us in without a 'voucher'. Despite having a printed expedia voucher and calling the hotel in advance, they would not let me check in. I was disgusted that a simple process could not be carried out and this was a matter between the hotel and expedia and not me, the customer. If you are looking for a budget hotel that is clean and tidy then this hotel could be for you. The sun loungers by the pool are basic so you can only lie down on them, they don't allow you to sit up. If you want a good day time meal, turn left out of the back of the hotel and walk along the beach path for about a 3rd of a mile, you'll come to a small cafe bar in the beach path with red parasols, the place doesn't look much but the food is excellent, particularly the cooked breakfast and salads. Hotel.com took my money but did not inform the hotel of my booking, I spent 2 hours at reception while they tried to find the booking. Eventually they just gave me a room! The hotel is very central, and well its ok, lets face it you dont go to Ibiza to stay in your room, do you?

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Argarb. Great location... less than a 5 minute walk to Sankies, 10 minute walk to Bora Bora beach and 15 minute walk to Space (walking at a holiday pace)... far enough away from all the action that the noise won't disrupt your sleep. Excellent location if you plan to party. We took the half board option. The buffet […] was good with a decent selection of good tasting foods... nothing fancy, but enough to satisfy. They also allowed you to swap dinner for lunch which worked out well when we planned to be elsewhere at dinner time. The rooms were clean, the beds were decent, but our air conditioning did not work very well (more of a fan than anything else), so we relied on the ceiling fan & opened the balcony door for air circulation and didn't find the heat a problem. The walls are thin, so I would recommend you bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as people come & go at all hours and it would not be uncommon to hear drunken soldiers coming in at all hours. The area was nice & felt safe with lots of restaurants & amenities near by. Lovely pool area and walk out directly to the public beach area. There was a bus stop directly in front of the hotel which would take you directly to Ibiza town for 1.45 euros. This hotel was a great value for the money in comparison to other hotels with half-board in the area. I would certainly stay there again / recommend it to anyone who is going to Ibiza to party or who don't mind a bit of noise. Read more

The hotel lifts were only two out of three working and the two which are working one of them is very small. The coridor for of the rooms was smelly. The beds were loke military beds and the toilet amenities were poor. The best thing in the room was the balconey size and view. No free WiFi and we had to pay for the safebox.

Es un Hotel que se encuentra en la Platja d'en Bossa, la ubicación no está mal, pero le hace falta bastante reforma. La habitación estaría correcta si invirtieran un poco en las cortinas de la bañera, están bastante sucias. Los TV son de la época de piedra de 14''. A la llegada nadie nos informó de que para poder ver la TV, teníamos que dejar 10€ de […] fianza para el mando a distancia, pero tampoco sirvió de nada porque solo se veían canales extranjeros y muy pocos. En el Salón estaba lleno de goteras y tenían puesto cubos de agua y algunos trapos en el suelo. Por contra, el colchón son muy cómodos. En los desayunos, hay mucha variedad pero de poca calidad y en especial los zumos que no se pueden ni beber. El agua en Ibiza ya se sabe que es salada y estaría bien que pusieran una botella de agua en las habitaciones de cortesía o aunque la cobren. nessun servizio (tv sgangherata, no frigo), i pochi sono a pagamento (cassetta di sicurezza). La pulizia e il servizio in camera è frettoloso e inadeguato. La clientela è molto giovane e discotecara, quindi grandissima confusione a tutte le ore del giorno e della notte (radio accesa a tutte le ore, urla e coretti alle 4 di notte, calci e porte sbattute), […] ma soprattutto nessun controllo da parte dello staff sul rispetto delle norme minime di civiltà. Piscina scomoda e dotata di lettini sfondati e fatiscenti. Tutto l'hotel è in pessime condizioni di manutenzione. Può andare bene per un ventenne sbroccato, ma per tutti gli altri è un inferno. Vi var sent ute när vi bokade detta hotell på Ibiza och utbudet var litet. Rummen var betydligt mindre än vad man hade trott på bilden, och otroligt lyhörda. Vid flera tillfällen när man låg och sov vaknade man rädd i tro om att någon tagit sig in i hotellrummet, men det var bara grannen som öppnade sin dörr. L'hotel Algarb è una buona struttura. La nostra camera era sicuramente una delle più belle come vista (di testa sulla spiaggia con vista verso la città alta di Ibiza). Comunque le camere come dimensioni sono molto simili: bagno abbastanza spazioso, un bel terrazzino esterno e camera con un letto matrimoniale e uno singolo. Se posso consigliarvelo prendete […] tre letti singoli, il matrimoniale è un pò scomodo perchè un pò sfondato al centro. Hanno tutte aria condizionata e ventilatore a pale sul soffitto (noi a settembre non l'abbiamo mai usato) e TV con alcuni programmi in italiano. Per la colazione c'è un pò di tutto compresi per chi le ama uova, crepes, bacon e wurstel. Più tutto quello che si trova di solito negli hotel classici: burro, marmellate, yougurt, cereali. Anche il buffet della cena è abbastanza vario e qualcosa da mangiare lo si trova sempre. Tutte le sere c'è una specialità cucinata sul momento. L'unica cosa che non consiglierei agli italiani è la pasta (non sono molto bravi a cucinarla...hanno un modo tutto loro...però è una mia opinione (gli stranieri l'amavano molto!). La picina è molto bella, pulita. Ci sono moltissimi lettini prendisole, non tutti nuovi ma ognuno può scegliere quello che più preferisce. La spiaggia si trova a due passi. E' bella, lunghissima, ottima per fare belle passeggiate. L'hotel non ha lettini in spiaggia perchè è pubblica. Ci sono per ombrelloni e lettini a pagamento per chi lo desidera. Read more

zentral gelegenes Hotel mit Zugang zum Strand...und Pool. Mehr kann man positiv nicht berichten. Frühstück ohne Qualität. Sauberkeit des Hotels nicht ausreichend. Nachts laut. Ibiza selbst, hat absolut meine Erwartungen erfüllt.
