Traveling with two little kids (5 & 1), we had the junior suite. It was very clean and spacious (paris hotels are notorious for small rooms). Staff were very accomodating, friendly and helpful. Location is great with the RER and metro right outside doorsteps. Starbucks just outside, two malls within blocks and a good shopping area while most major sites are within 30 minute walking. Reccomend.

The room was a little small but had twin beds, desk, chair, closet, and luggage stand. The windows opened and there was a fan available in the room if needed. Good cafes in the neighborhood. Metro station very close. We would use this hotel again.

This was our second stay at Hotel de Vendome and it topped the excellent experience that we enjoyed in November 2010. We were upgraded to a corner deluxe suite for an anniversary trip and welcomed with red rose petals in the room. Every detail of the hotel is first class with a very warm and friendly staff. Breakfast in the room every morning was a luxury followed by a walk in the Tuileries just a block from the hotel. If you're looking for the ultimate elegant boutique Parisian hotel, then you'll find it here. We'll be coming back to this one again. Bon voyage.

Other than being a tad far from a metro station, the location was perfect - several grocery stores within easy reach, not to mention the Eiffel Tower. The front desk staff was uniformly nice and helpful. Cleanliness was OK, things a bit worn, no maid service other than once a week. I might choose someplace else for a grown-up getaway but it was perfect for our family with young children, especially to have a kitchen.

Comfort Lamarck hotel has a convenient location in Paris in MontMartre, very close to the metro station. The price is not cheap, but reasonable since hotel prices in paris are very expensive. Very small rooms, but again, this is also very common in hotels in Paris. Staff is ok. The lady during the day is helpful and speaks english. The guy during the […] night is useless, and does not speak any english. We had to wait outside at midnight for 20 min at 0C, for this guy to open the door. I guess he is also deaf. All in all, if you are looking for a clean place to stay with a good location, and nothing luxury, just to sleep in, this is a good option. Read more

"Great Location"
The rooms are small, and there was some demolition work going on next door very early in the morning. However, the location couldn't be beat. Just outside the lobby door is a bakery. Across the street are 2 cafes. Sacre Coeur is a walk away. The subway is also close by. We feel like we got the feel of Paris by staying here. We would definitely return. "Great Value"
This hotel is a hidden gem in Montmartre. It has everything you need, cheap wifi, free breakfast and is close to area attractions and metro. Well worth it for those on a budget. I would stay here again.

I had a good stay at the Comfort Hotel Lamarck Caulaincourt. The room was clean and overlooked a bustling street. The bed was super comfy. Service was friendly. The hotel staff provided help with directions and other miscellany in English. I only had one bad experience - one hotel staff gave me attitude for returning to the hotel late after missing […] the last subway train. I chose Montmartre as my base location but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wanted to be in walking distance of the more popular attractions such as Notre Dame or the Eiffel Tower. Read more
"nice location but under renovation"
nice hotel but under renovation. location made up for that. I wanted to extend but they (and the rest of Paris) were booked for Memorial Day weekend starting on Thursday.
"Not the best area"
lots of nightclubs near by, bit noisy though the night. comfy room if a bit small - no parking at hotel though - nearest in underground parking for 22 euros a night -about 1/2 mile from hotel.
"Poor staff, location, neighborhood"
I stayed one night in this hotel. The room is very small. The staff is really bad. There is no Airconditioning. So you have to keep the window open for cold air. Then you can't sleep because of lot of noise (from people and cars). I would not stay in this one again.

"Good hotel for the price"
The hotel had a nice lobby & courtyard for guests, there are a couple of cafes and a bakery on the doorstep, and the nearest metro stop (and more shops and cafes) is a 2-minute walk away. The hotel is also within walking distance to Sacre Coeur and the surrounding area (but bear in mind the area of Montmartre is quite hilly). "Terrible room"
Dirty sheets, busted shower head, very spotty wi-fi which was not free. Asked them to fix the shower head and help us with wi-fi. Nothing was done.

As we expected from past reviews, the hotel room was very small as was the bathroom. The shower was a little hard to get into and you can't really move in it. However we did have door to the balcony which was great to have. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant with us, smiley and speak english. The room was serviced every day which was fine but overall […] the place needs a good clean out and updated, the spare blanket was a bit smelly. They were doing renovations on the front while we were there, so we stayed at the back which can get a little noisy, bring ear plugs just in case. Overall we had a great time and it was a lovely area, bakery on the corner, metro just a few mins away, cafes right outside and a pizzarea. Great if your on a budget and are not too fussy. Read more

"Vieux et sale"

Hôtel bien situé proche de Montmartre et de la station de métro Lamarck-Coulaincourt. Points négatifs : chambre double réservée pour se retrouver avec une petite chambre et un lit de 120... SdB assez petite. Petit déjeuner à 10 euros : mieux vaut aller le prendre à côté de l'hôtel où sur la place du Tertre. Points positifs : personnel sympathique, oreillers […] confortables et on a pu laisser nos bagages le dernier jour à l'hôtel jusqu'en fin d'après-midi pour ne pas avoir à les trainer avec nous toute la journée. "Hotel Lamarck - billig pärla i underbara Montmarte"
Hotellet ligger perfekt nära flera Metro-stationer i Montmarte och har (för det mesta) väldigt trevlig personal. Rummen är ganska små, men vad gör väl det när man ändå vandrar omkring i underbara Paris? Enda nackdelen med hotellet är att det är ganska mycket liv runt hotellet på natten och tidiga morgonen. Det är främst sena restauranggäster och sopgubbar […] som hörs mest. Men för den som vill bo i ett fint område med många fik och restauranger nära kan jag varmt rekomendera Hotel Lamarck. Med närheten till Metrostationen är resten av Paris aldrig långt borta heller. Vill ni bo bra till en billig peng så satsa på Hotel Lamarck, men ska du spendera mycket tid på hotellrummet kan de små rummen kanske vara en nackdel. Renligheten överlag på hotellet är OK, dock är det litet slitet. Men aldrig smutsigt. Hotellfrukosten är ganska liten men ingår (i alla fall under min vistelse) i priset vilket får ses som ett plus. Unser Zimmer war superklein, man konnte sich kaum darin bewegen. Der Teppich war undefinierbar schmutzig. Und das Schlimmste war die Baustelle direkt neben unserem Zimmer, wo schon morgens um 7 der Presslufthammer angeschmissen wurde. Vielleicht waren die anderen Zimmer im Hotel besser, aber unser war das schlechteste, was wir je hatten.

Rummet var verkligen litet, men läget uppvägde det. Klart prisvärt. Och under vår vistelse hade de börjat fräscha upp lobby och entré. Plus för den lilla gården, där man kunde sitta ute.

Chambre en mauvaise état. tv en panne. Fenêtre qui ferme mal. quartier bruyant le week end, chambre donnant sur un restaurant togolais (ivresse , bagarre etc...). Le seul point positif c'est l'équipe sympa.
"Gut zum übernachten"
In unmittelbarer Nähe des Montmartre (bzw. Sacre Coeur). Es besteht eine 24/7 Reception, so dass man auch zu unüblichen Tagse- und Nachtzeiten ein- und ausgehen kann. Mit der U-Bahn (Station 3-Gehminuten entfernt), kommt man ausserdem schnell ins Stadtzentrum und in die Nähe vieler wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Mit einmal umsteigen erreicht man praktisch […] alle Punkte. Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt bzw. gepflegt, sind aber nicht für mehr als schlafen und duschen geeignet. Dafür sind sie zu klein. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt (ab 4 Nächten) lohnt es sich ein etwas grosszügigeres Zimmer zu nehmen. In den andern fühlt man sich schnell eingeengt und hat auch keinen Platz für Kleider o.ä. Wünschenswert wäre auch ein Spiegelschrank im Badzimmer, damit man nicht alle Utensilien ständig irgendwo deponieren und umbeigen muss. Fazit: Wer einen Kurztripp nach Paris bucht und günstig übernachten möchte hat hier genau das Richtige. Read more

"Beliggenheden"
Hotellet er udmærket,men meget småt. fornuftig pris. Har ikke noget at samligne med, da det er første gang i Paris Der var meget gadestøj, et samlingspunkt for unge mennesker lige overfor på gaden.Der var først ro kl. 4.00 om morgenen jeg syntes det lå for langt væk fra det hele.Det ligger for højt oppe.ikke godt for dårligt gående. mange cafer oa. […] i området.Vi fandt aldrig ud af togforbindelsen derfra, måske hvis vi havde det, ville det have været bedre..måtte tage taxa hver dag. men smuk beliggenhed fra Cacre Cour kirken, som ligger i nærheden. Forventede at en stor kæde havde lidt mere check på det. Bortset fra, at der stod nogle brædder på værelset da vi ankom, og alt var ok efter lidt forvirring, var der ikke nogle problemer, og service desken var meget venlig. det var rart, at man kunne sidde ude bagi.

j'ai pris une chambre économique(il n'y avait pas de précision sur ce qui serait réellement économique; le lit mesurait 110 X 170. j'ai cru qu'il s'agissait d'un lit 1 personne; après quelques difficultés, on m'a "fait une faveur"parce que l' hotel n'était pas plein et j'ai eu une chambre avec un lit normal
"Zum Übernachten prima"
Hotel: Wer nur in diesem Hotel übernachten und duschen möchte, für den jenigen ist dieses Hotel ideal. Allerdings sollte man nicht zu dick sein, da es nur ein 140er Bett mit einer großen Decke gibt :-). Dusche, WC, Waschbecken, Schreibtisch, Bett und Nachttische (ohne Schubladen) und 1 Schrank (mini) sind vorhanden und auch sauber und gepflegt (Teppichboden […] sollte mal erneuert werden) aber das wars dann auch schon. Alles in allem war unser Zimmer miniklein, aber eben zum nur übernachten geradezu ideal. Essen: Gefrühstückt haben wir im Bäcker an der Ecke und können somit nichts zum Buffet sagen. Abendessen und den französischen Abend kann man auch prima um die Ecke verbringen (wenn man Platz findet). Metro: 2 Metrostationen sind ein paar Minuten Fußweg entfernt, je nach dem, ob man eine steile Treppe rauflaufen oder nur gerade aus laufen möchte. Metroverbindungen sind super, man wartet nie länger wie 5 Minuten, auch ist alles super ausgeschildert und gut lesbare Metropläne (Verbindungspläne) hängen an jeder Ecke rum. Lage: Nähe Sacre Coeur. "Småt men fint til prisen"
Værelset var lille, som man kan forvente det i Paris, men der er, hvad man har brug for. Vi var dog lidt uheldige idet bruserkabinen lugtede virkelig surt, og vi fik værelset lige op til elevatoren, som man kunne høre køre hele tiden. Et andet værelse havde formentlig været helt fint.
