Money-saving tip at the end. Shower in 1st room not working. Front desk said, "we have to investigate it," as if to imply it just happened. A lot of time passed with no result so I asked for another room. The front desk acted as if it was a pain. After picking up the new room key, front-desk lady and a co-worder started to laugh. I turned to look at […] them, they both turned away but continued snickering. New room had no refrigerator, no coffee maker, no towels, a beat up bedroom set and a horribly rusty bathroom. We met a couple that said they just moved out of a room with a broken shower! We asked, "room 1108?" They said yes! We said we ditched that room less than an hour ago and reported the problem too. They said, "OMG, no wonder the beds weren't made!" They got our former room within minutes of us moving out and the hotel staff didn't even clean it. YUK! Food was good, liquor was low quality, pool was clean, beach was extremely small. HINT: Donero, lobby hotel staff, told us you can tour Atlantis Resport's aquarium for free after sunset. Normal cost - approx $100 for two people. He told us this AFTER he found out we visited the resort earlier in the day. Great value, if true. Read more

This hotel has the best and most fun lobby on Paradise Island. The food is fresh and a good variety. The toilets sweat(?) water at the bottom and the beach lounge chairs seriously need to be replaced. The internet service is sporadic. The food and service is great and the best bargain we found.

The lifeguard at the pool did not vaccum,chlorinate or skim the pool until the 5th day of our stay. Then suddenly the staff came to life, hurrying around removing trash that had been left around the pool for days. Apparently some potential buyer was coming to look at the hotel. We were attacked ever time we walked into the hotel lobby by aggresive sales people pushing time shares from their little office they rent from the hotel. We found ouselves trying to sneak by to avoid them. It didn't take us long to realize that the hotel had a poor reputation in the town. We were lying out watching the tour boats go by when one tour boat announced, "On your right is the cheapest hotel you can rent on the island". The hotel shows signs of age/wear. The greatest issue was the bed/poor mattress. My room was decent, but we were with friends that had varied issues the entire stay from hot water to smell and damp floors. The food was good and the staff friendly.

We went in September and the hotel was half empty, so the service everywhere was faster. The food was good and so was the variety. I have never been so uncomfortable while traveling. This hotel was HORRIBLE. I had no air conditioning in any of the 3 rooms they put me in, yes i said 3 rooms. The bed was horribly uncomfortable; it had no support My Girlfriend and I got Little or No SLEEP for the 5 days i was there . There was no water pressure in the shower.The tiled floors were […] filthy. When my girlfriend spilled water on the floor and used a towel to wipe it up, the towel was brown when she picked it up. The only quality meal was the breakfast, which was iffy at best. The themed nights allowed little leeway for people who were not amenable to that nights cuisine. The resort also touted having a third dining room which was not open, only allowing us to eat at either the mandated food of the buffet or the limited cuisine of the outside bar. The bars closed extremely early for an all-inclusive with no food after 10 and no drinks after 1 am. The rooms smelled of mildew and none of the doors closed properly (probably a result of improper cleaning and lack of upkeep to the facilities). obviously, this is NOT a deluxe hotel, 5 star. BUT we knew that going in. We did not expect a posh, luxurious resort. This resort was what it said it was... a clean, all inclusive resort, with a large enough pool, friendly and accommodating staff and a location that was close to beaches, downtown and casinos. I would only recommend this hotel for people traveling without kids. I would not recommend it for families with small children. We were constantly surrounded by 18 year olds getting drunk at the hotel bars (the hotel is some sort of "student city" magnet and the drinking age in the Bahamas is 18). Late at night I didn't like to have my 7 year old nephew […] out and around the partying, and even in the afternoons the amount of wild partying going on in the ONE very small pool made swimming a little nervewracking. We had to change hotel rooms- the first one was filthy- but the room they moved us to was nice. The food was excellent, which was the main redeeming quality of the hotel considering how expensive eating out is in the Bahamas. The hotel could use some updating, but I would stay there again if I was not traveling with a small child. It is also within walking distance to Atlantis, where we spent a fun day, and to a little straw market for shopping. The resort is a definate "would do " again for us. On the food alone, the resort was awesome!!! Also if you are drinkers at all, they use REAL alcohol! We work with high schoolers so after the first night of noise they settle in and were actually polite and even conversational. Have to be honest on the only real downside for us. The beds linens and pillows were not good. Next trip we would bring our own sheets and if we could manage our own pillows. The pillows were the dollar store equivalent, and we are admittedly bed snobs!! We finally got sheets that the elastic corners stayed tucked in--at that point we did not care that they were probably 0 count!!! . We also upgraded to a balcony room which a good choice. This was truly a great place and if you can have lower expectations and still just go to have fun and relax--then go and enjoy So pick your poison and then just go to have fun. Our stay at this hotel was from 5/26-6/2. When I booked this trip I was not aware it was Grad Week. We got to the hotel and there were a bunch of drunk 18 yr. olds running around hooting and yelling. Drinking age is 18. They were very rude. You would say excuse me to get by and they wouldn't move. Sleeping at night was horrible. There was alot of banging […] of doors, chatting, and hooting and hollering in the hallway between 12-3:30am. I opened the door several times and asked them to please be quiet to only be ignored. I called the front desk serveral times and security was sent up. We would have some quite for about 2 hrs. and then it would start all over again. We had only 1 night of quite the whole time we were there. There were SEVERAL other adults who had the same issues and were also unaware it was Grad Week when they booked the trip. I feel the hotel didn't handle the situtation properly. Sending security didn't help much and lots of people lost sleep that week. I feel my husband and I should have been reimbursed for some of the hotel stay. The food wasn't bad and the staff was polite and friendly. Our room was kept clean. But when it came to the inside of the room...that's where the problems were (rust, mold, dust, leaking bathroom sink, etc.). She was very accepting of constructive criticism. The rooms and hallways upstairs really need to be remodeled/cleaned/repaired.
