"Very nice 2 bedroom family suite."
Very nice hotel but wifi is very expensive. 100 Baht for 15 minutes. Everything else was very nice and breakfast was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff is very helpful. Hotel rooms and furniture really need to be refurbished. Overall smells of food all the time. Good for families and good room rates. The hotel staff should refrain from working with the taxi drivers to inflate taxi fare prices.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel is close to river transportation"
The hotel staff were nice and responsive but the interior on each floor is uninviting. There are no lamps and sparse decorations in the sitting areas. We ate at one restaurant there and it was very expensive. Internet service was expensive, though I was given free tine when the computer malfunctioned. Sitting by the pool was pleasant as you can see […] the city-scape from the tables. The outdoor furniture need refinishing. Taxis were readily available. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"No recommended to foreign travelers"
This hotel is overpriced and the service is nonexistent. It seemed odd to us that of all of their desk staff no one could really speak English. I realize how this may sound--but people were generally unfriendly and no willing to help us learn our way around. This hotel was overpriced and just okay. There was a nice pool but beyond the pool, this place […] is not worth the cost. Wifi was 150 baht for 30 min and breakfast buffet is 600 baht....unreal. We got "upgraded" upon arrival to a smoking room--after requesting a non-smoking room. Beyond and extra chair--there wasn't much more to call an upgrade. I really think i was a downgrade but hard for us to tell since we had no internet until next day. Everywhere we went, upon return none of the Taxi's had heard of this place. So, if your Thai is not very good, you will have a hard time explaining where you are staying. Carrying the card with the address in Thai is really the only way to get back from your day trips in Bangkok. Everything is about a 100-200 baht taxi or tuk tuk ride away. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"VERY GOOD HOTEL, GOOD VALUE FOR WHAT WE PAID"
Nice Hotel with many PLUS and only some MINUS. PLUS. The hotel offers large a nice rooms, large spaces where to sit and stay; two swimming pools (one smal and pretty and one large and beatiful); a nice music bar /restaurant near small swimming pool: an awesome view on Bangkok; very good breakfast. We got a very good value for what we paid. Hotel is […] very clean and plenty of people ready to help you. Plenty of places where to sit and stay with friends and family. MINUS. Altough the room is given very cleaned the frst day, it is not kept well cleaned during your staying. The hotel is not near public transportation systems like BTS and MRT. However, almost every interesting location is very near. Restaurants arev fairly over priced. The laundry service is a "must not do" experience (too expensive), or at least use it as minumum as possible. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good hotel for two people"
Lobby area looks fine; rooms are below average. Pool area is the nicest part. Enjoyed daily breakfast. Don't waste your money with internet, it is extremely expensive and worse than dial-up, if you are old enough to have used it. Charge for a third person in room makes it almost as expensive as getting two rooms. Of course we did not want our daughter […] alone in a room. "3 night stay in Bangkok"
I got a great deal that included their excellent breakfast and 2 bottles of water daily. It's a posh hotel with banquet rooms and restaurants for the rich on the 32nd floor. We took 2 tours recommended by the Concierge. Concierge was reluctant to disclose MTR and Sky Train informnation. I would recommend this hotel. Disappointed that the internet was […] not free. Hotel room was not well cleaned - there were several small items on floor (wrappers, hair pins, etc.) that indicated lack of vacuuming, mopping in bathroom. It seemed everything had a price attached - internet was expensive in a country where internet abounds; taxis that weren't arranged by the hotel staff (therefore charging twice as much or more) […] were apparently not allowed in entrance drive - many small irritants. A few workers were genuinely warm and friendly, but others were rude when asked questions or for help. The "guest services" who one might associate with a concierge were obviously shills trying to sell certain tours that offered them kickbacks. It is an easy distance to major tourist attractions, but not walking distance as the online description which attracted us claimed. Hotel room was spacious and offered nice view; breakfast buffet was plentiful. The city and sidewalks are INTENSE around the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Overall, your average hotel experience."
Overall a positive hotel experience. We only stayed one night, so my opinion is solely based on that amount of time. Pros: Checkin/checkout was fairly quick, room was ready when we arrived just after noon, size of room was fantastic, breakfast selection was above average, location was okay and pretty quiet inside our room, pool/bar facilities were nice, […] bathroom shower water pressure and temperature were great and beds were comfortable. Cons: Internet was too expensive and network was terribly slow, hotel is in desperate need of decorating renovation, there was a damp/stale smell to the entire hotel, food/drinks overpriced. When we I booked hotel I wanted king size bed in my room but they provided me two single bed. This shows that they are not following what customers want. Also in first day I saw in the room a cockroach in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stinky and dirty"
Hotels.com advertised a superior room with king bed, got there and they said that they do not have a superior room with king bed and then just told us to push the beds together. I have no idea why this hotel has good reviews. Pool area is great but the rest of the hotel is rank and stinks of mildew.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel. Lower level floors had a shopping mall (mostly clothing where they set up outside for a few hours, then move into the mall). Little bit further out from the public transportation system (metro) but can take taxi. We stayed on the 27th floor which had a really nice view of the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was disappointed in my stay. So many tour groups were there, it was a long way to another building to get to the room, and the facilities were crowded as well. The check in service was good, but not so good in the breakfast area. The other surprise was the high charge to use the internet (about $20 per day) even in the public areas, which I thought […] were supposed to be free. The lobby is not on the ground floor and had to wait a while to check in and to check out. Would not stay here again, plenty of other choices to make. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location of the hotel was perfect to day trip throughout Bangkok. Nothing special about this hotel... simply regular. However, the staff was polite but not very responsive. Like I had to call housekeeping three times before they helped me with the TV and lighting. "Good overall; rooms could be updated."
The hotel facilities are quite nice -- two pool decks, great views of Bangkok, and a breakfast buffet that pleases both western and eastern travelers. However, our room in Tower B had clearly not been updated for some time: the bedroom was comfortable, but the bathroom could have used a new shower curtain (one that did not drag in the tub and therefore […] grow a bit of mold), and perhaps new fixtures so that water did not splash all over. Carpeting and sofa in the room also pretty tired looking, which is a good reason to wear slippers at all times. I would also recommend that additional lounge chairs be added to the 12th floor pool deck -- there is a lot of space, but little seating. Especially as many guests will just be sunbathing, the hotel could make great use of the space that is not directly poolside by setting up smaller lounge areas. Great location: pier for water taxis a step away, which make it easy to travel both to Siam Center or to the Golden Mount. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Crowds in large hotel"
We stayed 5 nights and the hotel was very busy throughout this time. It's a VERY big hotel, rooms located over several towers, orientation difficult, very long way to your room might be a long long way. We had a 2 bedroom apartment (they call it "Suite") because we travelled with 3 adults and one 2yr old. Bedrooms quite small, one dark. Big fridge in […] the room and water heater, not enough cups and glasses. Maintenance standard was average. Except from Lobby area the ceiling is very low on all floors, giving you a boxed-in-feeling. Great view from our room on 25th floor. Friendly staff, but hotel charges for everything. No free WIFI or Internet, reconfirming flights cost us 20 THB per person, for airport transfer they try to charge as much as 1200, taxi meter price should not exceed 350 THB. They do not help with getting a normal taxi, you have to get one from the street and they all try to overcharge and not use the meter. Hotel even encourages taxi driver to charge more. Breakfast buffet was great, many dishes to chose from. But VERY busy with hundreds of guests. Breakfast is from 6-10 a.m., they keep reminding you to finish early. Late checkout is 2 p.m., but they might cancel the room key earlier: report to front desk to get into your room after 12 noon. Swimming pools are nice and clean, provide towels at the pools. Downstairs is Bo Bae Market, very busy on several floors and great for cheap clothing and jewelry etc. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Expensive hotel and not convenient"
Staff are friendly but the place is still expensive considering the location. The bathroom curtain had molds and had a dirty plastic rug for the tub. Don't use the laundry service, the hotel charge per piece and not by kilo. My cousin used this service and ended paying about$150 for about 3 kilos of clothes. If you are traveling south, just wait till […] u get there. You can find places that does it for 30baht per kilo. Food by the pool side is expensive and not worth for what u paid for. Breakfast is not bad at all. We paid 300 baht for a buffet style. The hotel is surrounded by vendors who sells clothes, food and other things. Do your comparison shopping here.Again, just wait till you travel south, way cheaper. Although the staff is really friendly and polite, they weren't as resourceful. We stayed at an airport hotel that cost about $30 a night and it was cleaner than this hotel. The cab drivers will also take you to places that are not too cheap. "Dirty, uncleaned rooms, do not stay here!!"
We stayed two different nights in two different rooms and the second room was absolutely filthy. There were holes and stains on the walls. Im sure there had to be other bugs too. The breakfast is alright but there are some really weird and not so tasteful items. "Overall a not a bad hotel but would like to try others"
At first, upon arrival I was not impressed with the hotel due to it's surroundings. The rooms were not impressive but was clean and comfortable. One thing I do have to mention is the toilet flushes were extremely loud and noisy due to use of high pressure commercial toilets and uninsulated walls. It woke me up a few times. The views though were awesome […] being in the 29th floor with a corner unit and 2 sides of mostly unobstructed views to enjoy. The included breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful, pleasant and accomodating. The Housekeeping experience was very pleasant as well as they never intruded or disturbed us. They have a great system in knowing if you were in the room or not without ever having to knock on the door. The hotel restaurants, house cabs and internet access were expensive. I was impressed with the beautiful pool / bar areas with city views as a backdrop. The Bobae mall connected to the hotel was very convienient. Great for complete casual clothes buying. Not the lowest prices in town but still low priced. Selections were endless. Most vendors were wholesalers so most were not will to bargain the prices. Overall the hotel was pleasant and the price was a deal but after seeing many other hotels in Bangkok I would like to try higher end hotels in better areas even at slightly higher prices. I would recommend this hotel to the budget minded traveler. Just be prepared to make frequent taxi trips for inexpensive neccessities. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We stayed in an executive suit on the 25th floor. This provided a wonderful view and zero street noise. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was not great, but it was good enough. The swimming pool was delightful. The hotel is centrally located between Khao San Rd and Siam Center. There is a river taxi right next to the hotel […] that you can take to Siam center, Jim Thompson's house or a BTS station for only 9 baht. Khao San Rd and the surrounding temples are a cheap taxi ride away (make sure you get a taxi with a meter and avoid using the hotel's taxi service). There is a large wholesale clothing market under the hotel. I was able to buy a bunch of large t-shirts for 80 baht each. The only catch is that you must buy in bulk. For some shops, this means 6 pieces, for others, it means 10 or 12. The one thing we avoided at the hotel was the bar and restaurants (except for the provided breakfast). There is a lovely little bar next to the pool, only catch is, the prices are extremely high. A bit ridiculous actually. Although it would have been nice to enjoy a beer poolside, the 300 baht price tag just wasn't worth it. We opted for Khao San road's night life, had a great time, then an easy 60 baht taxi ride back to the hotel. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. "Dated 1980s hotel"
Hotel is definitely not a 4 star establishment. I am sure it was back in the 80s when it was first built. Communal areas such as the lobby, pool area and hallways were very large and luxurious. The same cannot be said of the rooms which were cramped and old fashioned. We had a deluxe suite in the Prince Suite/tower. I think a regular room would have […] been better. Also NO WIFI in our room!! The router wouldn't French us!!! And on arrival our room electricity key didn't work which took 30 mins to fix. The hotel suite next to ours was also out of action, with a towel under the door frame gap, perhaps being fumigated?? Lastly, check out chaos sigh no order and about 30 people trying to check out at the same time. Will not be recommending this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Prince Palace Stay"
Prince Palace is located at Bobae area and most taxi drivers know the location especially if you tell them Bobae Tower. This is the second time my family booked a suite with two bedrooms and the price is very reasonable with breakfast. The beds are quite big and i think can sleep more than 4 persons. The wholesale market is just beside and you can get […] clothing cheap. Morning, the place is packed with stalls selling everything. The wholesale fruits market is just across the street.Travelling is quite convenient too - by taxi or river boat just beside the hotel. It costs only 10 Baht to Pratunam by boat which takes less than 7 mins and I think it's the best way to avoid traffic jam. This hotel is so big and you can find them hosting events at their convention room almost weekly. The taxi drivers always quote fixed rate unless you ask for meter. If you are in group of fours, 100 Baht can take you from Prince palace to Chachuchak, MBK, though its cost less than that by meter. At the Airport, you can go to counter that offer taxi by meter, the driver will add 50 Baht and toll charges to the meter charge. If you are using smartphone, you can buy the happy tourist prepaid card at 299 baht for 7-day unlimited internet and 100 bahts free call. Platinum mall at Pratunam is very popular for shopping.
