"Hotel was well located, good value for money"
The value was deff work the room we had / very spacious had everything that we needed . would consider hotels maybe having the international adapters in the rooms as we had to go out and buy some to be able to charge phonesGenuine Expedia guest review
Nice, spacious but a bit old.Genuine Expedia guest review
Won,t be back for sure. No free WiFi. We had to pay 500 baht for 1 hour, however it is only to use in lobby. Rooms are very basic. TV is antique we couldn't watch it as picture wasn't clear at all. Supposed spa next pool is useless as it gas icy cokd water. Warm spa and sauna available but with extra charge as well as a gym($10 a day). Staff in reception […] in best times just want to get rid if you. My friend has lost her bank card in Airport and asked reception to call lost property in airport and was told she has to call herself. Generall attutude it your problem. Breakfast is pretty basic. Table with pastries had a picture advising that only one pastry per plate. We have found it bit insulting. Horrible coffee. Majority of guests are russians. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Dated 1980s hotel"
Hotel is definitely not a 4 star establishment. I am sure it was back in the 80s when it was first built. Communal areas such as the lobby, pool area and hallways were very large and luxurious. The same cannot be said of the rooms which were cramped and old fashioned. We had a deluxe suite in the Prince Suite/tower. I think a regular room would have […] been better. Also NO WIFI in our room!! The router wouldn't French us!!! And on arrival our room electricity key didn't work which took 30 mins to fix. The hotel suite next to ours was also out of action, with a towel under the door frame gap, perhaps being fumigated?? Lastly, check out chaos sigh no order and about 30 people trying to check out at the same time. Will not be recommending this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Prince Palace Stay"
Prince Palace is located at Bobae area and most taxi drivers know the location especially if you tell them Bobae Tower. This is the second time my family booked a suite with two bedrooms and the price is very reasonable with breakfast. The beds are quite big and i think can sleep more than 4 persons. The wholesale market is just beside and you can get […] clothing cheap. Morning, the place is packed with stalls selling everything. The wholesale fruits market is just across the street.Travelling is quite convenient too - by taxi or river boat just beside the hotel. It costs only 10 Baht to Pratunam by boat which takes less than 7 mins and I think it's the best way to avoid traffic jam. This hotel is so big and you can find them hosting events at their convention room almost weekly. The taxi drivers always quote fixed rate unless you ask for meter. If you are in group of fours, 100 Baht can take you from Prince palace to Chachuchak, MBK, though its cost less than that by meter. At the Airport, you can go to counter that offer taxi by meter, the driver will add 50 Baht and toll charges to the meter charge. If you are using smartphone, you can buy the happy tourist prepaid card at 299 baht for 7-day unlimited internet and 100 bahts free call. Platinum mall at Pratunam is very popular for shopping. "Big Pool but out of the way"
This hotel caters fro a lot of Russian and Chinese Tourists. It has big rooms, small bathrooms and a great big pool. For transport taxis are a must as it is not on the train routes and the klong boat is your only other option. All up it does represent value, but you have to spend the savings on taxis.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing hotel - very good value for money"
We spent one night at the Prince Palace Hotel - we arrived fairly late at night so did not get an opportunity to explore the local area much, but we were very impressed with this hotel. The hotel itself is huge, it is very easy to get lost as the hotel is spread across three towers with 30+ floors. There were lots of staff on hand who were very helpful. […] The room itself was very spacious clean and in very good condition - this hotel was excellent value for money, lovely views over Bangkok and lovely swimming pool area - would definately visit again Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel was strategically located with all the great places to visit.Only the service and the staffs were a big disappointment including the hotel room. i was entertained by a rude manager during check in, so arrogant staff. First nite was a disaster as the airconditioning unit was not working well, the room was too hot. the staff dont know how to […] settle the problem as i was having difficulty explaining as there were no staff who can speak english well. Only when i requested for a transfer then only the problem was solved. The breakfast selection were the same everyday. Water pressure is not good and the heater is not working well. "Good hotel for the price"
It's a good hotel but could be much better with some upgrades. The rooms are clean and washroom is excellent but new furniture, especially carpeting, would go a long way. The controls inside the room are outdated too. However, the staff is friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not somewhere I'd stay again"
I had booked this hotel as a treat after travelling and was looking forward to some pampering. Not only did I find my room not ready but there was no free internet and you had to pay to use such facilities as the gym and swimming pool. Ive stayed in hostels with better facilities and customer service.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is huge, probably the biggest in this part of Bangkok (the "old" Bangkok as opposed to the new side in the East). A few small cockroaches here and there in the room but it's ok, the room is very clean and to high standard although it starts to look a bit old fashionned. The service at reception is ok, not very warm and friendly though. Thai […] taxi drivers will never understand you in English when you asked to be driven at "Prince Palace Hotel". You should pronounce "P-L-I-N P-A-L-A-Y" and they might get what you mean. But the best is still to ask to be drivem at "Bobae Tower" (after the name of a closeby market) and then they'll get what you mean. The guys in the lobby of the hotel asking you where you're going and calling a taxi for you and useless. Better walk outside on your own for 100m and then call the taxi by yourself, you have more chances to get a driver that accepts to start the meter. The swimming pool is ok, not amazing. "Room for improvement"
Stay at this hotel was ok. Not many of the staff appeared to underdstand english to a reasonable degree, a bit out of the way for bars, restaurants & transport links. Charge for use of WI FI a bit out of step with most other hotels also daily charge to residents for use of fitness facility is ourtageous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Absolutely atrocious service"
The service at the hotel was absolutely atrocious. It states that it is a 4 star hotel but the staff were grumpy and very unhelpful. "The worst hotel I have ever stayed at"
The staff ignored me at check in, failed to refer me to English speaking staff until repeatedly asked. This was not a friendly place for an English speaker. I have been to Thailand many times, I have never experienced anything like this. I was on a work trip&the location was convenient. "Good value for the price."
The hotel just walking distance from a big evening market there is a lot of fruit stalls, the fruits was cheap and good taste, we can have a sweet and watery watermelon per day for 4 night stay, and also sweet longan, pineapple etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Unpleasant and Disappointing"
The staff could hardly understand and speak English. The room looks dated, wall papers are peeling off, carpet looks filthy and soaked, Bathroom toiletries are very basic - soap, shampoo, toilet papers, hand and shower towels and that's about all. 2 bottles of complimentary mineral water and instant coffee and tea with creamer.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Amazing Hotel and Facilities,"
The hotel is amazing, with wonderful rooms/suites for families. But the only thing that is a peeve is the amount of Mainland Chinese (Citizens of the People's Republic of China) on holiday and completely choke the lobby and other areas during check in and out. Their other attributes and character are well known around the world, so i shall not delve […] into it. I could not submit a request to the reception during a Check In/Out period as the reception was choked and I was ignored by hotel staff. My solution, MORE STAFF during peak periods, open up separate counter for Tour Groups, or dedicate a room or hall for crazy peak period Check Ins and Check Outs. **The staff during other times were extremely attentive and helped with my tour/route planning. The Fiasco only happened during Peak Hours and Check In/Check Out timings. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good brunch, Ok rooms"
I booked through expedia - was a bit on the expensive side for Bangkok but I had an absolutely huge room with a nice view of the city. My package came with the brunch which was very tasty indeed. The common areas of the hotel are reasonably refurbished - a bit showing wear but not at all bad. The rooms and the actual hallways to the rooms are well […] in need of updating. I didn't use the pool but it seemed quite nice. All in all well met my needs for a place to chill after days of sight seeing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Maintenance & Service need improvement"
I had selected this hotel because of its proximity to the Garand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha as seen in the map. Though neither of these are within walking distance, they are easily accessible by taxi. The hotel's surroundings are not the best possible. The locality is crowded and it is difficult to find a good restaurant nearby, so […] that I had to rely mainly on the hotel's own restaurants, which are expensive. There is also no BTS station nearby so that one has to depend on taxis and tuk-tuks for transport. While most of the staff were courteous and cooperative, maintenance of the room was not up to the mark. It took three days for the drainage problem in my wash basin to be rectified despite several complaints. The hotel is divided into four towers, the rooms in most of the towers being far away from the reception. Facilities of the fitness centre are available only for a price. However, the free breakfast, for which I had opted, was good and substantial. The hotel facilities, though good on the whole, could have been better for the price. It was really big and famous hotel in Bangkok. Every taxi and tuk tuk know the place of the hotel. the most attractive feature of the hotel was its place. The staff were not really friendly. I booked a queen bed but when i got there they gave us a room with twin beds instead and said 2 people will get twin beds even though they are a couple. I had to argue with them a couple of times before they would change our room. The furniture in the rooms just looked old. They didnt want to sell wifi to us and we […] had to argue regarding that as well. My room had no toilet paper and i had to request for it. The buffet breakfast was only average. On the first night we got there, we decide to have dinner in the restaurant near the food. "Tired out, and uninterested staff"
The hotel is well placed in the middle of Bangkok in the centre of a clothing market. It appears to cater for large package tour groups of various nationalities. The central public areas are in reasonable condition. Unfortunately the rooms are shabby and in need of redecoration. Requests for room defects to be dealt with went untreated. the staff appeared […] not to care very much and we had an unfortunate experience with a pushy bellboy who demanded an exhorbitant tip for having brought our luggage to our room. A centrally well-placed hotel in Bangkok and very large. It appears to cater for large tour groups of a number of nationalities.
