The entire motel smelled like smoke. The continental breakfast was horrible. No protein at all. Advertised pool and hot tub and it was closed for resurfacing. Hotel.com said the room could be ready in 20 minutes at 8:30 am. When my husband arrived they wanted to make him wait until 3:00 pm. It took alot of convincing after the Hotel.com service person said it wasn't going to be a problem.

Room smelled like smoke and housekeeping never came to clean our room and give any fresh towels after the first night... pillows were Lumpy! Wasn't impressed ;(

No smoking rooms had smokers in them, smoking with the door open. During the night people were walking in the hall and talking which sounded like it was right in our room. The continental breakfast was a joke. Styrofoam cups for coffee, very tiny day-old looking donuts, a loaf of bread for toast. The breakfast room also was dirty. The carpets where […] we walked were absolutely filthy. The outside garbage right by the door to enter was spilling over with garbage. The room we were put into was open when we went to put the key in. It reeked of cigarette smoke and the "king size bed" was a double with mismatched pillows that were flat. When I went to the front desk the guy was 'put out' that I would ask to be put in a room I actually reserved because they were overbooked. We did get a different room, king bed and didn't stink of cigarette smoke. We had two flat pillows on the bed. The toilet seat was broken so you had to carefully sit on it. The complimentary shampoo was a used bottle. I would never stay in this motel again, even if it was free. Read more

I made reservations at this hotel based on online reviews. I was a little worried when I first saw the hotel from the outside. The lobby and halls smelled "old". Fortunately, the room itself was much nicer. For me, cleanliness is the most important. It is obvious this hotel has recently been remodeled and updated. The rooms are very clean and neat. […] The hotel room was very similar in size and quality to more expensive name-brand hotels I've stayed in. This is a good value if you are traveling through La Grande. The desk staff were very pleasant and friendly, comfortable beds, nice shower. The continental breakfast could use some improvement. If bagels or english muffins would be nice instead of the white bread for toast.

This hotel was a good stop over point on our way back home. Only complaint around the room was that the pillows were in really poor condition. The pool area was also in need of some attention.
