The hotel is beautifully located and a great base for activities in DuPage County, but you have to have a car to go anywhere or do anything. The service was friendly and helpful, but the bar and restaurant staff was not the most professional and the food, unfortunately, was quite average.

The hotel is very nice --- However, Please know that it is located on the McDonald's University Campus. The feel of the hotel is like what you would expect at a college dorm (only very nice). Rooms are large and well kept. The site while a little difficult to find the grounds are beautiful. Full grown trees and excellent flowers. Perfect for a couples get away. Bed was very comfortable.

The hotel and setting is beautiful and very peaceful; we felt far from the busy city. The pool was fantastic for the children. Free breakfast was a great deal asa the restaurant had an excellent menu for kids and adults. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This was by far the most amazing hotel I have EVER been in - every employee I encountered went above and beyond. A receptionist in the spa should give customer service training as she was fabulous knew my name when I arrived and remembered the next day. I booked here because the closer hotels to where I was working were booked full. The Lodge looked like a cool change of pace which is why I chose it, but overall had a strange vibe (thanks to McDonalds propaganda art) and did not feel cozy. I also don't like feeling nickel and dimed... no free wifi, but at least there is free parking. But nice that […] they have a "Business plan rate" that includes the wifi, breakfast, water, and clothes pressing. Con: I was very dismayed when I went to the fitness center, and told there was a FEE! Again, there was a catch, I had to go back to my room or front desk and open up a Hyatt Gold Passport account and I could use the gym for free, which wasted 20 minutes of my night. That said, the Pro was that the gym is probably the nicest I've ever seen in any hotel. The service of the staff was good. Read more

Wonderful, quiet location. Wooded area and walking paths. Very reasonable. Not your usual crazy busy hotel. We'll stay there each time we come to Chicago as our son & family live 8 minutes away. We couldn't have made a better choice....great coffee too!!

Although this hotel was very clean, and the customer service was great, it was not family-friendly. I was not impressed with some of the hotel policies, and wish I would have known about them prior to booking. With Expedia, this is a 4-star hotel, so when booking our "last minute deal", we were excited to try it out. Unfortunately, I would not stay […] at this hotel again. I was disappointed to find out that there was an additional $10/day charge for internet use and an additional charge to use the fitness center. We found that the pool was free, but only open until 9 pm. We came with our kids (we would not use the pool otherwise) and by the time we got back from our day's activities, there was not time for them to swim. We found there to be NO kid-friendly TV channels AT ALL! There were several sports channels and other cable channels, but not one kid-friendly channel. They had an on-demand option, but it cost at least $3.99 for 1/2 hour show! I find that ridiculous in a 4-star hotel. Also, the parking was quite a bit away from the hotel entrance and required two sets of stairs. That was fine since the weather was so nice, but had the weather been very bad, that walk would not have been ideal (note that they did have valet parking -- for an additional fee!). I just expected more from a 4-star hotel. I have stayed at many 2-3 star hotels that offer these amenities free of charge. Just be prepared if you choose to book this hotel that there will be additional fees involved! Read more

We were visiting my Chicago daughter, and the only problem with this property is that it is not convenient to the city. But we knew that, and chose it because it is in a gorgeous spot. I've stayed here 4 times; the experiences were all consistently high. The rooms are very large, with ample space for spreading out my work. Great fitness center, sauna, steam room, and indoor pool for only $8. Room service was timely and courteous. Only down side: the parking lot, unless you choose to valet, is across the street and requires a little […] walk and a climb up a few flights of steps, which normally isn't a big deal unless you've got a couple bags, its 5 degrees, and there is snow and ice everywhere. The Lodge is set back from the main road and the hotel is surrounded by lush trees and greenery. It was a very relaxing stay as it was quiet and peaceful -exactly what we were looking for. You are minutes away from Oak Brook Mall and some great restaurants. We even got massages in the spa - which were great. Definitely recommend the hotel.

The Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook is very charming and comfortable in a wonderfully secluded location . The workout facilities, especially the pool and locker rooms, are truly a joy to use. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing get-a-way.

Upon my arrival, I was surprised to be greeted by the "golden arches" on the hotel entrance sign. The Hotels.Com site should clearly state that this resort is part of the McDonald's corporate headquarters campus. It was a bit of a turn off.
