"A fine, service-oriented motel"
Hurricane Arthur forced us to leave Hatteras and hit the road as refugees. There was room at the Inn--though barely. Despite being inundated with disgruntled guests whose vacations were delayed or destroyed, service was outstanding in every particular, owing to the personnel behind the desk. "great hotel but not close to chain resturants"

"Easy Access to Major highway"
This was just an overnight stay and we were glad it was close to the major highway we were using. The king bedroom was a bit crowded with furniture but the amenities were fine. Very lovely breakfast (eggs, bacon, yogurt and many other choices). They also allow pets (extra fee) as we had our dog with us. There is a Steak House on the property that only […] serves dinner. Let me first say that I have never written a review of a hotel before and I am not a super emotional person who will put words in caps etc. We just got back from our vacation yesterday. Last Friday, July 12th we arrived at this hotel. Keep in mind I do a lot of research to find which hotel we want to stay at on our way to the Outer Banks. This was in […] what I thought was a good location and, most importantly has a pool and hot tub that I would enjoy. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. and were greeted by Mike and Terry. Both were nice people. Here is what my stay was like in order of events... Pool was not working due to "bad filter." Hot tub was green and not working. Wi-Fi was not working, nor was the desktop computers internet. Bathroom next to the lobby was not working. Pancake maker for breakfast was not working. Ice machine on our floor was not working. Was given a card to a hotel room to check out as an upgrade due to me being upset about the hotel stay. The room already was already occupied. Was given a card to another room and stayed in that room. At 3:40 a.m. someone used a card to try and enter my room. Top lock was on and prevented someone entering my room. So, if you want to stay at a hotel that has a green and broken hot tub, broken pool, broken pancake making machine, broken ice machine, Wi-Fi that doesn't work and a possible break in, book this hotel...Otherwise, Hampton Inn and others are nearby. Althought the check-in clerk was beseiged by many people checking in, he calmly worked through the complications of one man's missing reservation, another families need for a truly smoke-free room for their asmathic child and most of a baseball team. "Nice hotel, staff needs some work"
Overall the hotel was nice. We showed up at 4pm and checkin was a 3pm and one of our rooms wasn't ready and the girl at the desk seem to care or have any idea when it might be ready. Went back around 9pm to get the reserved room and we had reserved 2 double beds and when I went to the room it only had one King size bed and a pull out couch. I went down […] to the front desk and the same girl was working and told her and she claimed that it was Expedia's fault, they never get the rooms right. She then said, well, it still has two beds. I thought the staff was delightful. They were genuinely nice and smiling, My room was very nice and clean. "Middle of Nowhere Getaway"

"Very quiet area needs a gas station closer by"
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The only issue I had was the lack of services and restraunts around. It was good that it was a pet friendly hotel and I think I was in the pet wing as I heard other dogs but that was OK with me. Very nice hotel. We stayed there for the Panthers game. It takes about 15 minutes at a leisure pace to get to the stadium. At the hotel, we stayed in the North tower, which was recently renovated and was very well decorated. Will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Second stay at this hotel for a horse show at the Sen. Martin Ag Center Complex and had no complaints. "Not wanting to go back."

We were hurricane Arthur refugees. The facility was overwhelmed. Cool heads prevailed and everyone accomodated. The place was clean, and updated. the Moritoc Inn was excellent for traditional southern fare. thank you so much. The staff here was wonderful.
"Charged two months later!!!"

I stayed at this hotel in April for a wedding. First, upon arrival the manager Wiley seemed bothered that we were checking in and had so many rooms, and told us that we were lucky that he let us have state government rate rooms because he knew this wasn't state business. He also said that we were making him lose money by using the government rate. Extremely rude and unprofessional to say. Not to mention, I called to have the room that was in the block of rooms placed in my name and it wasn't. It was so much confusion that I just knew something like this would happen. Fast forward almost two months and I see a charge from Holiday Inn in Williamston! AND it was for more than my stay! TWO MONTHS later!!! When I checked out two months ago, the pending charge was on my account so I figured it was taken out. When I called I again talked to Wiley and was told that they charged someone else's card for my room, and once that man realized it they went back and ran my card again to charge me! So, you think it's okay to run my card two months later, after your error? And charge me a different rate? Without any type of notice or warning? And they were completely unwilling to do anything about it. I will never stay at this hotel again and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a hotel and I travel and stay in hotels a lot.

I am incredibly disappointed with Holiday Inn Express. We prebooked with them for a room. We arrived at 11:30 pm after driving since 4 am with an infant and toddler. They advised us after we arrived that they overbooked our room; sorry they have no more. There are no others in the area. We have to drive an hour for the next hotel. We are rewards members; but will not be using them again. We will be going exclusively with Hilton and Hampton Inn.

First of all, lets start with the staff of this hotel. The GREATESS. Eric and his staff gave first class service and was on of the best Holiday Inn that I have stayed with in years. Everyone was helpful and courtesy came natural. The rooms were nice and quiet as well as the area around the hotel. Eric and his staff made sure that guest were happy and I had a great night sleep for a change at a hotel. This was Great to feel like I was home. This hotel should be on everyone's list when traveling to this area. The breakfast was very good and the staff was wonderful.

We stayed here while attending a large horse show at the Martin Ag center right across the street. This hotel is filled with horse people many weekends, as well as spectators of other events. Proximity couldn't be closer, but unless you are a horse show traveler you cannot appreciate the herculean effort it must take to keep this hotel in this excellent condtion. the rooms are large, we had a two room suite which became happy hour headquarters, spotlessly clean and modern. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful, and everyone was extremely pleasant. Theu seem to enjoy their work. Breakfast had lots of variety, beautiful and inviting area to relax. Great job, guys!!!
"Not worth the money"

Staff is friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was old. Curtains were torn, rug is dark...overall a cheap feeling to the room. The fridge was not working. Included breakfast was horrible. The cleaning staff did not replace the consumable, shampoo, etc. and left the trash in the room. Not worth the price.

I stayed 3 nights here while on business in the local area. Overall my stay was average. The staff here is very welcoming. One of the issues I had is my room did not have a fridge or microwave. Really this is the first HIE property I have stayed in many years that did not have a fridge or MW. It is a bit unusual anymore. I think if a room costs 100.00 or more a night it's only fair to have basic ammenities like Fridges and MW. The breakfest is OK, problem is the staff runs out of either bacon or sausage when the construction workers hit the serving line about 6am so likely it's better to show up for breakfest later, say 715 when they are already on the job. Internet is good and there is a steakhouse called Ribeyes that has great steaks cooked to perfection. I probably won't stay here for my business, instead try Greenvile which is equidistannt to my work location locally.

We usually stay here while we work. Ever since they reopened as the Holliday Inn. They have gone threw management like my kids go threw sox! The assistant manager Eric is the most unprofessional hotel manager we have ever delt with! This man is rude and very very unprofessional! We checked in signed the register at a set rate. After we had stayed thee they started putting bills under our door at a different rate. Please somebody tell me how this is right? It's not. We went to our room our key wouldn't work. We went down stairs to get it reset and Eric refused. He said he would reset our rook key after we signed a different room rate. We completely refused. They gave us a rate then changed it after we were in the room. All of our things we're in the room and Eric said," you could not get in the room or our things till we signed the paper at the new rate." Mind you we checked in on Monday this was Thursday. This man was holding our things for ransom. Unless we signed it. They ended up charging our credit card for the rate we didn't agree on or sign for. Isn't this fraud? Charging more then your bill was suppose to be. My husband ended up calling the police. This man was trying to provoke us. After they arrived we told them what happen and we we're let in the room. I asked for a copy of the receipt my husband signed when we arrived with the quoted rate we were given Eric said NO. After the police got there he had to give us a copy of our signed receipt. We have stayed here several times and have always given good review. I will never stay here again after the way we were treated. We usually get anywhere from 5 to 6 rooms never again. This new management staff is a joke very rude. My husband called to talk to the general Manager Wyle and we never received 1 phone call or anything. 2 days later I ran into the front desk lady Deirdre if she gave him the message. She replied," I sure did, he balled it up and threw it in the trash"! These people do not care about good customer service... Our bath tube was clogged and so was our toilet. The breakfast is the only good thing about this place. Very disappointed. My husband wrote a review and his was not put on here either.. I will be reporting this hotel to the BBB... Eric should be working at Taco Bell in the kitchen this guy has no business working with the public... I truly hope the owner knows about this.. I can say the owner is a very nice man. But your management staff is awful!
"A perfect place to stay if going to a horse show"

This is an awesome holiday inn express but what makes it even better is it is right across the street from the horse show. You could walk there. It is a very nice property and the staff are all very nice and accomadating. I have stayed at this property three times and each time is as nice as the time before.
