Upon arriving we was assigned room #305..AC didn't work..on to #330. Ac did work,but the exhaust in bathroom didn't work,part of the door handle was lose! Mirror wasn't clean ...found hair on the vanity...closet doors was missing...very dusty everywhere...for what we payed I was very disappointed !! It's located 4 or 5 miles from places to eat !! My friends and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend event across the street at the Ag Center. I prepaid for the rooms on Hotels.com (two months ago!) and was charged again for the room the Monday after my stay (for a completely different amount!). I did not receive any notification of charges under my door and turned in my keys upon leaving and did […] not get a bill then. I have now called the hotel FOUR times this week to try and get this resolved, leaving my name and number twice. The manager is always out and no one else at the hotel either has the skills or the authority to research and resolve this. Very frustrating. Don't answer the phone if you are not capable of taking a message and giving it to the correct person. "Ok location, but rooms need work"
We stayed here before heading out the outer banks, so the location was good for not knowing the area. Other than the lobby, the rest of the hotel needed some work. The room smelled like mold and we couldn't get the air conditioner to cool the room off, so it stayed humid the entire night. These are not the memory foam beds that most of the Holiday Inns […] have. They are still a spring bed, which makes it hard to get comfortable. The printer didn't work with their computer. There NOTHING around the hotel except for 1 restaraunt. You have to drive several miles to get any selection on food. Overall, we stayed, but probably wouldn't stay again. "A fine, service-oriented motel"
Hurricane Arthur forced us to leave Hatteras and hit the road as refugees. There was room at the Inn--though barely. Despite being inundated with disgruntled guests whose vacations were delayed or destroyed, service was outstanding in every particular, owing to the personnel behind the desk. We booked four rooms and one of our guests accidentally used their credit card for the room, although we paid through Expedia. The hotel staff shouldn't have done this. We still have not been able to get the hotel to reverse the credit as they can't without management approval. Of course, there is no management. So the process continues. "Easy Access to Major highway"
This was just an overnight stay and we were glad it was close to the major highway we were using. The king bedroom was a bit crowded with furniture but the amenities were fine. Let me first say that I have never written a review of a hotel before and I am not a super emotional person who will put words in caps etc. We just got back from our vacation yesterday. Last Friday, July 12th we arrived at this hotel. Keep in mind I do a lot of research to find which hotel we want to stay at on our way to the Outer Banks. This was in […] what I thought was a good location and, most importantly has a pool and hot tub that I would enjoy. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. and were greeted by Mike and Terry. Both were nice people. Here is what my stay was like in order of events... Pool was not working due to "bad filter." Hot tub was green and not working. Wi-Fi was not working, nor was the desktop computers internet. Bathroom next to the lobby was not working. Pancake maker for breakfast was not working. Ice machine on our floor was not working. Was given a card to a hotel room to check out as an upgrade due to me being upset about the hotel stay. The room already was already occupied. Was given a card to another room and stayed in that room. At 3:40 a.m. someone used a card to try and enter my room. Top lock was on and prevented someone entering my room. So, if you want to stay at a hotel that has a green and broken hot tub, broken pool, broken pancake making machine, broken ice machine, Wi-Fi that doesn't work and a possible break in, book this hotel...Otherwise, Hampton Inn and others are nearby. Althought the check-in clerk was beseiged by many people checking in, he calmly worked through the complications of one man's missing reservation, another families need for a truly smoke-free room for their asmathic child and most of a baseball team. "Nice hotel, staff needs some work"
Overall the hotel was nice. We showed up at 4pm and checkin was a 3pm and one of our rooms wasn't ready and the girl at the desk seem to care or have any idea when it might be ready. Went back around 9pm to get the reserved room and we had reserved 2 double beds and when I went to the room it only had one King size bed and a pull out couch. I went down […] to the front desk and the same girl was working and told her and she claimed that it was Expedia's fault, they never get the rooms right. She then said, well, it still has two beds. "Middle of Nowhere Getaway"

"Very quiet area needs a gas station closer by"
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The only issue I had was the lack of services and restraunts around. It was good that it was a pet friendly hotel and I think I was in the pet wing as I heard other dogs but that was OK with me. Very nice hotel. We stayed there for the Panthers game. It takes about 15 minutes at a leisure pace to get to the stadium. At the hotel, we stayed in the North tower, which was recently renovated and was very well decorated. Will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel ok but would not stay again"

The hotel itself was fine and was across from the center that the event was at so location was great. But upon arrival reservation had been cancelled by staff and I was never notified. Had to take a room I didn't want at a higher cost. Housekeeping skipped cleaning our room, never was able to find out why. When called front desk for towels told they would be up in minutes, never came. Had to go to front desk and request them again. Except for a young man that tried to be helpful rest of staff left a lot to be desired. If you choose this hotel don't trust confirmation emails call and make sure reservation is still in place.

My family stayed at this hotel during a weekend state softball tournament. The hotel is the closest one to the softball complex so it was very convenient. The pool is just big enough for a few people and had extremely too much chlorine in it, the hot tub was closed off. The complimentary breakfast and guest service was the best part of our two night stay. We got everything we requested from the front desk, with a smile. The hotel was completely booked with softball families and other guests attending a horse show across the street and they were completely accommodating. Good job!

The outside of the hotel looks extremely nice. The employees at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice but could use a little bit of an update (especially to keep up with other Holiday Inn Express hotels we have stayed at). The beds were VERY comfortable. Overall, it was a good stay, but I have to mention that the water pressure in the shower was horrible! I had to take twice the time to take my shower because it was so difficult to wash the shampoo from my hair with the poor water pressure!

I booked 1 king and 1 double back in June for the 3-night labor day weekend stay for my boyfriend's family reunion event which was to be held in Martin Agricultural Center across the street from this hotel -still its not quite a walking distance, there's quite a way to get to the center and we still had to drive there. When I made the reservation 2 months ago, I specifically requested the two rooms to be connected since we were with our kids, and I told them it was the reason I picked this hotel because of the connecting room. I had spoken to a few people since them on the phone to confirm the connecting room request and they said they would accommodate my request. However, when we arrived we were told that they had given away all the connecting rooms to other customers who came in for their family reunion. They offered us 2 separate rooms, not even next to each other but 2 rooms away. I was very angry and disappointed after all the phone calls and confirmation. But we had no choice at this point. Rooms were decent, though there were no fridge or microwave in our king room. There was no ice on the 2nd floor while we were there and we had to travel to the 3rd floor every time. Also our room phones handset kept coming off due to the old parts and when we were able to make a room to room call, it somehow got connected to the front desk. Once the lady at the front desk answered and said that she would try to fix it but when she realized that I was still holding, she said, "HEY hung up, I'll check it." Hey?? My daughter started having stomachache during our stay and I asked the front desk if they had any medicine but they just told me I would have to drive to the town, At a hotel like this in such an isolated area, I would expect the front desk to be equipped with a few basic items customers might need sometimes. There's no convenience store nearby. The bad luck kept coming on. When I woke up 3 in the morning trying check on my daughter, the slippery carpet made me trip and fall. I hit the left side of my face on the edge of the bed side table and hurt my left leg when I fell. Went to North Carolina and got a black eye and bruise!!! my daughter had to run up to the 3rd floor to get me some ice, In general, the customer service was good. Housekeeping ladies were very nice and gave us extra towels as requested when we didn't need other service in our rooms. The breakfast was great and had a lot of different things, we didn't like the egg omelets, however, looked and tasted artificial. The ladies in charge of breakfast were very present and friendly as well. Overall, it's a nice place to stay in transit and/or if you want some solitude. Most of the restaurants in the town closed at 9 or maybe 10, so you'd have to resort to fast food if you come out late. When I came back to NYC, I really appreciated the drug store across the street and 10 different ethnic restaurants within 5 blocks. LOL. I'm not a country person.

We were hurricane Arthur refugees. The facility was overwhelmed. Cool heads prevailed and everyone accomodated. The place was clean, and updated. the Moritoc Inn was excellent for traditional southern fare. thank you so much. The staff here was wonderful.

I stayed at this hotel in April for a wedding. First, upon arrival the manager Wiley seemed bothered that we were checking in and had so many rooms, and told us that we were lucky that he let us have state government rate rooms because he knew this wasn't state business. He also said that we were making him lose money by using the government rate. Extremely rude and unprofessional to say. Not to mention, I called to have the room that was in the block of rooms placed in my name and it wasn't. It was so much confusion that I just knew something like this would happen. Fast forward almost two months and I see a charge from Holiday Inn in Williamston! AND it was for more than my stay! TWO MONTHS later!!! When I checked out two months ago, the pending charge was on my account so I figured it was taken out. When I called I again talked to Wiley and was told that they charged someone else's card for my room, and once that man realized it they went back and ran my card again to charge me! So, you think it's okay to run my card two months later, after your error? And charge me a different rate? Without any type of notice or warning? And they were completely unwilling to do anything about it. I will never stay at this hotel again and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a hotel and I travel and stay in hotels a lot.

I am incredibly disappointed with Holiday Inn Express. We prebooked with them for a room. We arrived at 11:30 pm after driving since 4 am with an infant and toddler. They advised us after we arrived that they overbooked our room; sorry they have no more. There are no others in the area. We have to drive an hour for the next hotel. We are rewards members; but will not be using them again. We will be going exclusively with Hilton and Hampton Inn.

First of all, lets start with the staff of this hotel. The GREATESS. Eric and his staff gave first class service and was on of the best Holiday Inn that I have stayed with in years. Everyone was helpful and courtesy came natural. The rooms were nice and quiet as well as the area around the hotel. Eric and his staff made sure that guest were happy and I had a great night sleep for a change at a hotel. This was Great to feel like I was home. This hotel should be on everyone's list when traveling to this area. The breakfast was very good and the staff was wonderful.
