"A nice stay for business or pleasure"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 20, 2013
Stayed 4 nights for business. Didn't get out because of weather. The resturant was excellent. The service was also very good. In all I recommend and would stay again.
"Irish Hospitality at it's Finest"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 10, 2012
Oranhill Lodge was a delight to stay in. The house was very nice and well maintained; very classy. Michael and Ann were gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome. My friends and I talked with them extensively on the morning of our departure and they truly seemed like old friends. Also, when we arrived they recommended an excellent pub/restaurant close by for dinner and drinks.

A very warm place to stay. People are very kind and help you with all regarding your stay at the hotel and the City.
"Great Location - across from water"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 25, 2012
B&B was good. Rooms and bathrooms small but adequate - I had small room on 3rd floor which was fine for 1 but would have been very difficult for 2 people. Breakfast was very good. Shower had great water pressure and tons of hot water. My bed was very comfortable. The owner/operator was not Irish so if you are looking for that experience you won't get it here. She was accomodating but not overly friendly. Location was great - across from water, 5 min walk to beginning of Salthill area, 15 - 20 min walk to Galway city center area.
"Quaint place! Very nice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 24, 2012

"Close to Eyre square but off the main road"
Hotel is just a few minutes walk from the centre of the City and bus/rail stations. Lovely hotel, good selection of breakfast. Nice dinners in the bar restaurant. Found swimming pool chilly especially around the toddler pool and changing area with small children being cold.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Enjoyable stay"
The hotel was gorgeous, the stafe f were very helpful and friendly. We stayed down for the Galway Half marathon and enjoyed using the spa facilities to unwind afterwards. The bar food was lovely and the breakfast was one of the best spreads I'd ever seen in a hotel, no matter where you came from your tastes were catered for. The only criticism I have […] is that the bar adjacent to the main foye was quite cold due to the high ceilings a spacious nature of the layout. Most people in the bar were wearing cardigans and there was game of musical chairs each time the seats nearest the open fire became free. Overall, we had a very enjoyable, relaxing and pleasant stay. "Super stay"
Even though the reservation was wonky, the hotel made an extra effort to put things right. It is convenient to the sights and yet provides a quiet harbor from some of the nightlife. The buffet was outstanding and all the hotel personnel top drawer.Genuine Expedia guest review

"My stay in hotel"
Its a good hotel, but few problems I have faced. Residents have to pay parking fee which is not fair, it should be free. Secondly my apartment was noisy. As a plus point breakfast was very goodGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Superb stay in Galway"
This hotel is ideally located. It is a luxurious hotel to spend time relaxing in. It has comfortable, clean modern rooms. The quality of service is excellent. I recommend making use of the leisure and spa facilities as they are really well maintained and equipped. I would definitely love to spend another getaway to Galway at this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It suited each of our mixed age groups"
This is a first class hotel that is located within walking distances to the many facilities the city and county has to offer. My wife, daughter and son together with his wife and two teenage children had a great time here.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Would Stay Here Again!"
Good location, lovely breakfast in main restaurant, comfy room. Would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff were excellent, food good, room dull and rather depressing - no character. Bathroom suitable for disabled but not able-bodied. Cleanliness not the best in room and no vanitory top around w/h basin.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"would be happy to go back"
The hotel was exactly as described - 4* hotel in terms of comfort, facilities, standard of service, quality of food. It also benefited from an underground car park which only cost EUR5 per day, and was a very short walk from Eyre Square and from the pubs, restaurants and shops. Definitely in the tourist part of town.Genuine Expedia guest review
"definitely not 4 star"
4 star hotel very disappointing. We were touring southern ireland and stayed in a 3 star that was way above this one. Room was booked for 2 adults and a 15 year old. my 15 year old was expected to sleep in an armchair. First night after requesting a bed it didnt arrive, 2 nd night after having to be very cross we got a bed delivered to the room at […] 12.30 Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"fantastic room"
The thing that made this hotel for us was we were upgraded to a suite. It was fantastic. We stayed an additional night as we were that impressed. Breakfast was a little noisy and caotic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Found Eyre Square had a good holiday atmosphere ."
Was dissappointed to see dirty full ashtrays on the verandah outside restaurant and verandah lounge on Sunday morning after breakfast and public toilets behind reception area with tissues still on floor. We also feel as a resident of the Hotel that car parking should be free.I understand the car park does not belong to the hotel but surely a pass card […] while staying in the hotel could be arranged. Room was very warm because of a lack of air conditioning. The room was also a long way from reception. The breakfast was decent though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location and Breakfast!"
All very good with an absolutely excellent breakfast buffet - one of the best I've had in Ireland ever. Only complaint is service in the bar area in afternoon/evening. Nearly impossible to get anyone to serve food/drinks despite there being many staff walking around and it not being busy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to the busy centre but yet facing Galway Bay"
very friendly staff- all good humoured and courteous; fantastic choice at breakfast- great situation- v reasonable car park charges of 5euros a day- attached multi storey, connected to hotel by lift. For amenities offered , cost very fair.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"enjoy the experience"
Business stay...................... and will return with family soon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Actually spent very little time in hotel. Wife enjoyed spa facilities. Food in Atrium bar takes ages - people actually left before their meal arrived it took so long. In Marinas restaurant food nothing special and waitresses mostly foreign so amendments to our order not always clearly understood. Restaurant also has very dated decor and more like school […] hall. Not romantic. Advertised Hi Speed wifi is not high speed and connection was always poor. Picture quality of TV in room could be better and movies to watch on demand were also poor picture quality. to be fair they did not charge us for these but I would have preferred better picture. "Great Location for Galway stay"
Far enough from the noise of city centre, but close enough for comfortable walk. Great hotel for city break, slightly lacking atmosphere and standard 'limpish' buffet breakfast, but convenient cheap parking, free internet access, free pool/leisure suite, good clean rooms, nice public spaces, and great outlook from some areas. We enjoyed it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One night mini break"
Really enjoyed my stay. Spa facilities were great especially as it was a quiet weekend so no over crowding. Hotel lacked atmosphere at night though, so around town was better. Some staff very formal and not so friendly, which I automatically expect in Galway. Breakfast was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed my stay at Radisson Blu, Galway. Within 5 mins walk of Eyre Square in heart of galway so great location near shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife but not noisy at night. Food in restaurant was excellent (for dinner and breakfast), very tasty and good value as part of hotel deal for night. Lobby area bright and modern. Only downside was room […] was for 3 adults and they put us in a smallish room with one double bed - when I rang to say it wasn't big enough, they offered us a campbed, which wouldn't have fitted in the room. When I pointed this out, luckily they moved us to a room with adouble and single bed, which was a nicer room. However it was a bit inconvenient having to move with all our bags and the room we were moved to was (lovely), but in East wing (a bit of a walk to reception); but staff were courteous and it was fine. Overall though would stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
