Park Hotel Tokyo Ginza

A short guide to Ginza

High on opulence and popularity, Ginza was one of the city’s first districts to implement Western-style brick buildings and gas lamps. Set in the heart of the city, it is the place for those who don’t mind crowds, and serious spenders. But it takes very little to see Asia’s largest fish market, a traditional kabuki play, or the latest gadgets at the Sony building.

Outstanding service. I was in a panic as I left my purse on the airport shuttle. The concierge had it in my room in 15 minutes. The staff is wonderful. The only negative and we were too tired to care was the lack of English on the t.v. Other sites reported on the small size of the t.v. as well. However, if that was what was most important, I should have stayed home. Location is fantastic within 5 minutes of two train stations. Both are accessible by underground passage. You have less than a 10 minute walk to be on the streets of the Ginza. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Overall I was satisfied with this hotel for the price. It was in a convenient location for work. Lots of shops and places to eat within walking distance. Convenient store is on first floor for supplies. Very safe and close to the train and subway. The lobby was nice, but smoking is allowed. The room was adequate, but nothing special. For the price, it was nice.

The Park Hotel Tokyo is close to the Fish Market and part of the Sio-Site of the Shiodome Complex. It offers convenient access to two train stations and has nice restaurants and cafes near it. The rooms are compact but the electronic bathrooms make it all just fine. The staff is friendly and the American Breakfast buffet is complete even if it is pricey. I recommend this hotel for double accommodations. It does not, however, have any connecting rooms to accommodate families.

Stayed for 5 nights in April 2009. As the hotel starts on floor 25 rising to floor 34, you can be almost guaranteed a supurb view over part of Tokyo. The hotel is situated between a main rail station handling bullet trains, and a monorail service. Noise is kept to a minimum with thick glass, non-opening windows. Travel to all parts of Tokyo is possible from the station situated below the hotel. We did not use the hotel for food as there were many eating places in the Shiodome area. We enjoyed our stay in a standard city room overlooking Tokyo harbour which was spectacular at nighttime with all buildings illuminated. Good value for money.

The twin room I shared with a friend was quite small. This was unsurprising as it is meant to be a business hotel. Located on top of Shiodome subway station and Shimbashi JR station, getting around was easy, though getting from the station to your hotel room involves getting a few lifts which can be confusing at first. The room had a great view and was clean. For the money, I would rather have booked another hotel, the travel links were okay, but the room was very small and a longer stay would have been uncomfortable.

I had a great stay here. The staff was very polite and helpful. The hotel is located immediately adjacent to several train stations so it makes it very accessible. The surrounding area is very nice but has more of a business type of feel to it then some other areas of Tokyo. I liked that though as you are somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle but again connected to train stations so you can be about anywhere in Tokyo in 15-20 min. The adjacent Hama Rikyu gardens are very nice as well. The room was big for Tokyo standards and clean and comfy. Also note that the hotel is located on floors 25-35 of the shiodome tower so all rooms have an excellent view of the city!

This hotel is amazing. Its in a central location in the city and you can be in the heart of tokyo within a 10 minute walk. Getting to it from the airport is also easy as its near a mian train station - shimbashi. I would recommend printing off the instructions of how to find it which can be found on the hotels website. Once you have found it though you will be amazed. The hotel lobby is on the 25th floor so your room will have a great view of the city as you know you are goig to be between floor 26 and 35, infact its the highest residential building in tokyo! we arrived at 9am which was 5 hours early. The staff ahd a room ready for us within the hour. The rooms arent massive but well appointed with everything you will need. Overall its excellent, trendy and stylish - cant recoomend it enough.

We stayed at the Park Hotel on our first visit to Tokyo and were pleasantly surprised by the quality level of this hotel, especially for the price we got online. Tokyo is a very expensive city, but this was a bargain. The hotel is modern elegant, spare but really nicely designed. The room was fair sized and the view was great. The Shiodome location is a bit removed, but there are great neighborhood streets on the other side of the subway station and the Ginza is a short walk, as is the fish market. I would highly recommend the Park to anyone going to Tokyo.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Park Hotel Tokyo. The staff was attentive and professional and the room was clean and comfortable. It wasn't huge but was certainly adequate, especially by Tokyo standards. The decor is soothing and modern. The location on the upper floors of the Shiodome Media Tower provides nice views, although adjacent high rises can block some of the sights. The hotel is in a very new area of town and a short walk to the multi-purpose Shimbashi train/subway station. Noise from the trains was noticeable but not bothersome. The Ginza and Tsukiji fish market are a 10-15 minute walk. While not in the center of things, the hotel is still convenient to lots of activities and a relaxing place to come back to. Internet is free and the buffet breakfast is very pricey.

There wasn't much to do right around the hotel, but all the big attractions were a couple stops away. It's also close to Shimbashi station, which connects to more lines and trains than the Shiodome stations does. The hotel staff was very helpful, and all spoke english. The breakfast was a great meal with lots of american/asian foods, but was very pricey. If possible, I'd suggest to try and get breakfast included. Our room (2 twin beds) was small, but adequate for what we needed and had comfortable beds.

Lots of English speaking staff. Say Hello to Kim, he will probably be greeting you, if you are arriving by limo bus. The room are on the small side but hey it's Tokyo, the rooms will be smaller. Free internet access, cheap minibar, great room service and very clean... it's perfect. The PTH has easy access to the Oedo Metro train or JR train access with Shimbashi very near by. in the Pedi Shiodome building there are great restaurants - Chococro - the best green tea lattes around and don't forget to try the chocolate croissants. Drunk Bears-all the beer(international too) you can shake a stick at and many many more restaurants from cheap eats to high end dining. Don't forget to walk through the Hamarikyu Park. It's beautiful, also you can catch a sinjo bus(water bus) on the hinode pier -just walk through the park. Sinjo bus goes to Odaiba, Asakusa and many places along the shimida gawa river. Shiodome is very easy to get around. and nearly all metro lines cross the Oedo line. I recommend also the JTB tours. Say hello to Sato san. He's hilarious and well versed in Tokyo history. The evening tour was wonderful and with dinner included - a great time. I highly recommend the Park Tokyo hotel, when I go back to Japan, it's where I'll stay every time.

Very impressed! Staff members are fantastic- very attentive and courteous, quality of service similar to much more expensive hotels. Convenient access to public transportation. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend for Westerners to stay here.

Just returned from a trip to Tokyo, and a stay at the Park Hotel Tokyo. Fantastic hotel - excellent value, very comfortable, good location. I couldn't believe that I was staying in a hotel like that, for the amount that I paid. The hotel is on the 25th floor of the Shiodome Media tower, and every room must give excellent views over the city - ours certainly did. The staff are SO friendly and helpful, the rooms are impeccable and of a very high standard. The hotel is near to the Ginza area of Tokyo and there are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Getting about is a doddle as the railway station is right next to the hotel - the hotel concierge is happy to book up any day trips operated by local tour companies. A city tour is good for getting your bearings and a trip to Mount Fuji is a must! You can see it from the huge window at reception. Park Hotel Tokyo - highly recommended.
