sooooooo good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was great at the Chateau Laurier. Everything was good with the exception of the TV. We were unable to get it to function properly, but forgot about telling the staff because we really didn't need the TV in beautiful Quebec City.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect in almost every way."
Taking the advice of a Canadian friend proved to be a real plus. The hotel Chateau Laurier is very easy to get to after crossing the St. Lawrence Seaway and could not have been in a better place to enjoy Vieux Quebec. The rooms and facilities were clean and modern and the location was a short walk from the city gates on the Plains of Abraham. When we […] arrived, we had the valet park our vehicle and never retrieved it until our departure 2 days later. Everything was within walking distance. We will be certain to stay there again and would highly recommend it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to make your base in Quebec City!"
The room was clean and nice. Pleased to have two queen beds and the room was large enough for them. Plenty of good towels in the bathroom. Location was best to explore Quebec City right near the Citadel and Parliament and it was very easy to drive our car right to their own underground parking garage. We didn't use our car again until it was time to […] go home. Many good restaurants right out the door and Starbucks is across the street with free wifi. Everyone spoke English well. Wish we had time for the spa but there are too many things to do in the city. The swimming pool is very small. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location on Parliament Hill"
We had a 2 queen superior room, which was modern, comfortable and on the "quiet" side of the hotel facing the plains of abraham. An easy walk to the citadel and old QC. We would definitely stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sleepless in Quebec City"
We were not expecting the interior of the hotel and the rooms to be so dilapidated. The exterior of the hotel and the lobby are nice but that's about it. The hallways and the rooms themselves were very damp and haven't been updated in a while. There was an odd musty odour in the rooms which gave the impression that they weren't clean. The plumbing situation […] at this hotel is terrible. Every morning we were awaken very early by the very loud noises that the pipes make whenever anyone in the rooms around us used their washrooms. To make it worse our rooms overlooked what appeared to be large exhaust fans, probably from the restaurant, that are loud and work non-stop throughout the day and night. We complained to the staff about it and asked to be moved but they could not help us. The staff was otherwise very nice and friendly which, along with the very convenient location, are the only redeemable things about this hotel. Breakfast, internet and parking are not included in the rate; considering the price and the experience we had with loud plumbing and exhaust fans, I don't think it's worth it. Next time I'll spend a little more and stay at a nicer hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Everything we wanted + as our base in Quebec City"
The location of the hotel was perfect for those wanting to explore the old city. We were within walking distance of everything on our city agenda. Parking for hotel guests was convenient (under the building), clean and safe. The staff was very hospitable and could converse equally as well in either French or English. We would certainly return.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Charming hotel with relaxing surroundings"
Very lovely atmosphere, good location, convenient walking distance to all of Quebec City. Amenities very pleasing, only had a small problem with the airconditioning on two of the days not cooling correctly; maintenance attempted a fix, but still not corrected, by next morning it was working.Genuine Expedia guest review
There is much activity in this area. Streets were closed twice over our four day stay for events....fun! Be ready for traffic congestion. The concierge service is AMAZING. They really help.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
very convenient for seeing the sights and enjoying the amenities of Quebec City. Room was relatively small but more than adequate. Pleasant staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
""I Don't Know""
This was my second trip to winter carnival and the second time staying at this hotel. The first time was great, the staff was so helpful and friendly. This time it was like I was staying in a different place, staff wise.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, great experience"
Service was excellent. We could have used extra pillows in the room. I found the room safe in the bedside table the morning we checked out. I don't remember it being mentioned in the room description. A room fridge would have been nice. Excellent location very near the Old City and the Carnaval. The outdoor spa was amazing..... We thoroughly enjoyed […] our stay here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not qualify for 4-star hotel"
Very small room, small tv, small bed, small pool, small fitness room, noisy a/c, etc. But much expensive. Only the staff, especially the receptionist is very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The hotel will be our home the next time we visit Quebec City."
The hotel is in an excellent location and allows you to venture and to walk around the area before entering the walls of the Old City and very comfortable walk to the tourist sites and restaurants within the Walled City.Genuine Expedia guest review
Ask for a room with view on the Battlefield Park. They need to improve their business center which is limited to 2 computers at the frontdesk....And if you like to swim, forget it except if you're used to cold water. Beside that I already recommended this hotel to my friends because of it's location and the staff at the front desk was always available […] and friendly. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Chateau Laurier, Quebec City"
The hotel was very nice, staff was helpful & friendly. Only thing was that it was a busy weekend there due to a cyclist race that was happening, making it very busy on sidewalks, restaurants & shops. If we knew this was happening, we would have booked another weekend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Chateau Laurier Quebec is a real find."
This hotel in Quebec has it all: attentive staff, beautiful, clean, modern rooms, and a great location near public transportation and restaurants galore. All staff of this hotel are very kind, polite, friendly and helpful. I really appreciate it. There is a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel where you can have a breakfast. "I'll go back!"
Fantastic hotel in every way; great location, large and comfortable room and bathroom. The hotel staff was very helpful and kind. So many opportunities right there and very nice for me to be so near the Art Museum along with the older section and dining venues. I couldn't have been more pleased. I thought it was a good value.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great service, good location"
Great hotel in a very interesting location between the Plains Of Abraham and Fauberg St Jean. Perhaps a bit far for some to walk to Lower Old Quebec, but near the Upper Town. Staff were terrific, room was clean, quiet and well appointed. Both room and bathroom were absolutely tiny, with almost no room to move or put things down (luggage rack is in the […] small closet), but both were perfectly adequate as we were out most of the time anyway. "$220 the nighr and small room"
I know that this hotel was pricy but for $220 the night I was expecting a bigger better room. The room was extremely small! When u checked in , the hotel agent knew that I dd not speak French and she spoke all the time French ! Rude!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Within walking distance to Old Quebec"
Stay was great. Accommodations very good. Close to Old Quebec and around the corner, many restaurants to choose from. Room clean and modern. Would stay again at this location, it was perfect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not as luxurious as its name"
It was a room, a small room, comfortable enough for a couple of days. I liked the location,,,close to Old Quebec but not smack in the middle of it. The hotel was not at all luxurious as the name infers. The towels were not one of those thick fluffy ones but a bit thin and worn (no holes yet). "The staff was very helpful."
The staff was very helpful. They called prior to our visit. The concierge was also knowledgeable about the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice foyer and front desk helpful and friendly. When we got to our room we were disappointed. The room was old and very small. Although the bathroom had been updated, it smelled terribly of mildew. Wouldn't go back to this hotel. Quebec City was amazing though!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great spot outside the walls"
Located outside of the walls the hotel is very close to the Citadel and a short walk into the heart of Old Quebec. If you are driving, traffic is a bit rough but MUCH easier than staying inside the walls. The rooms are small and 'European' not an issue unless you are travelling with three young boys (then a 4 occupancy isn't really). My only gripe was […] following checkout (no complaints concerning staff during). Checkin staff placed a rather large reserve on my Amex and did not remove it following checkout...suffice to say this was the first night of a 10 day vacation and it caused issues mid way. I found the staff incredibly unhelpful in resolving the matter and it took SEVERAL calls before giving up and getting AMEX to increase the limit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central location but be careful when booking"
We booked this room because of it's location (close to Old Quebec). We thought it was a little expensive but when we got there and opened our door, we were in for a bigger surprise. This was the smallest room we'd ever seen. We found out later it was the "express" room which is for "stop overs" and not necessarily for longer stays (we booked 3 nights). […] We were not told any of this by Expedia or the hotel staff when we checked in. We were pretty disappointed with the room to say the least. There is no continental breakfast either - the pay breakfast was very good but expensive. The hotel itself is clean and pretty modern. The staff seemed to be nice enough. The location is great, right on the main street and there are great restaurants all around with easy access to Old Quebec City. We won't stay here again though because it's very expensive and there are much more reasonably priced hotels within walking distance that we did not know about when we booked. "Could Have Been Better"
The hotel was nice and very accessible to everything. It's clean to the standards and bed is very comfortable. The only thing I don't like about this hotel is that there was no free wifi which is pretty much standard to all hotels. Even 3 star hotels give you free wifi. Another thing is that they don't have complimentary bottled water and slippers. […] For the price that they are charging and for a big hotel like theirs, it should be pretty standard to give at least complimentary bottles considering that you are located in a city that is always busy with tourists. I was disappointed when I phoned in asking if they give complimentary bottles and I was told that it depends on what kind of room I booked. And since I'm only booked in a superior room, they don't give out complimentary bottled water. And we even stayed here for 4 nights! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Our stay at the Chateau Laurier, Quebec City"
Very accomodating staff, very helpful, pleasant and patient. The room was really nice, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good amenities. Liked the proximity to the Grande Allee and the choice of restaurants as well as to Vieux Quebec. We absolutely enjoyed our stay!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location but don't expect any extras"
No free wifi except to use their slow PC in the lobby for 30 minutes. Room was located on second floor very far from the lobby with windows facing the street with late night establishments and early morning construction.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For the price it seemed small and cramped, the picture on expedia looked a lot nicer than it did in person.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice hôtel for a family of 4(young kids). Close to everything in Quebec City old part. Will go there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel with action next door"
Great location to the Old City, Citadel, and Parliament. Walking distance is 500m or 10min to the Old City's front gate with a pair of fast legs. You can pay 30% more to be at the Marriott or Hiltons, but this hotel will give you a better bargain. The hotel has a few exits, one is directly to Grand-Allee E where you are right at Macdonalds, Starbucks, […] and all the street cafes/restaurants. Parking is reasonable at $15/day with in/out privilege. There should be ample underground parking. It is a multi-level with very tight turning space, and is a challenge for bigger cars or vans. Another nice to know is it has free access to ice machine to fill-up your cooler since there is no refrigerator in the room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location. But needs updating."
The hotel had great location, however, the rooms need updating. Especially the bathrooms. The tile & fixtures were very dated. We had an express double and it suited us for the purpose of rest but not luxurious by any means.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Enjoy a wonderful visit"
We spent 2 nights at the Laurier with our grandson. The hotel is close to everything. A tour stop is almost outside the front door. We could walk to downtown and lots was going on at the time. The pool was enjoyed by my grandson. There was lots to do, so he didn't need an arcade to entertain him. The breakfast buffet was nice, you had to look for it […] but that was okay. The rooms were nicely decorated and very up to done. Overall a great two days. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nothing special anymore"
We revisited this hotel because we were really impressed with their garden hot tubs. They were under lights, surrounded by plants, out in the open in a garden setting. We went back specifically for this. Much to our disappointment, they had moved the hot tubs against a wall out of the garden space so that they could rent out the garden space for weddings […] and such to make more money. Without the garden spa, the hotel is nothing special. good location but not worth the price- especially since they ask for more money if you want wifi and charge an extra $24 a day for parking. So we will never go back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location and family sized room was a good size.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and was able to answer all of our questions. The hotel was located close to everything we wanted to see but it was a lot of walking all day. There was only one down thing but there is not much you can do about it. Our view was looking east and the park wasn't a very good one. Thanks again […] for the stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
