I liked my overnight here. It's quirky but not charmless. Called for a complimentary pickup from the roadway just outside MAD Term 2 using my mobile (Americans: make sure your phone is enabled for intl calling BEFORE you depart the U.S.). There's signage with a few dozen hotel numbers including Best Western Hotel Villa De Barajas. Remember you'll need to dial the country code "+34" in front of the rest of the number. A van was dispatched and arrived quickly. The check-in counter inside the tiny reception area feels rather like a car rental kiosk. Check-in was quick and my questions were answered efficiently. I found the room to be smallish but very clean and the bed firm, as I desire. The bathroom, also small, was nevertheless a standout: spotlessly clean, modern and with good shower water pressure. There were a few English-speaking tv channels, as I recall, but when I landed on CNBC Intl (financial news) my wish had come true. I had takeout from the Chinese restaurant across the road, pretty good. Overhead halogen lights above the bed in Rm 204 could possibly sear your retinas. I didn't have breakfast in the room adjacent to the lobby but complimentary freshly brewed coffee dispensed from the machine in the bar was excellent. I'd stay again.

The location, cost and accommodations were great. A few steps away from a major square, metro and tons of restaurants. We could not have asked for anything better. In addition, their was WiFi access in the room.

this is a small boutique hotel within walking distance to the royal palace, several restaurants, bus station, across the street from the metro and near to a small market. the internet was free in the room, (first place on our trip, others were free in the lobby). the restaurant in the hotel appeared to be very expensive so thank goodness for the other close by restaurants. there was a bit of broken glass on the floor when we arrived and a hair in the bathroom, but otherwise the room was clean and fairly comfortable. all in all it was a fine place to stay.
Location.
Situated in Madrid, Silken Torre Garden is close to Estadio de la Comunidad, Las Ventas, and Torrespaña. Also nearby are Sports Palace Madrid and Hipercor Campo de las Naciones Shopping Centre.

OK if you are just spending a single night in the area and don´t need to be in the center of Madrid. However, it is fairly noisy and not close to any major attractions.

"Nice hotel, bad location"
We reserved this hotel because we thought it would be near a metro stop, but it was actually a LONG walk from the nearest stop (Garcia Noblejas). The surrounding neighborhood had almost no restaurants and cafes (only 1 Chinese restaurant and one Spanish restaurant) and also seemed a little sketchy. The hotel has a good price/quality ratio. Excepting the problem with the telephone service (I had to go to reception to answer the international calls because the central switchboard was broken all the time I was there - sixteen days! -) the hotel is well recommended

Reasonable pricing and yet it is very easy to get into the centre of Madrid, but the Metro is a must. Recommended for anyone who doesn't need to be in the absolute centre but still wants a nice hotel.

However, we were efficiently relocated to a higher-quality 4-star hotel in the same chain and nearer to the airport. at no extra expense. I recommend this hotel, very good price/quality. The rooms are great, very spacious and the stuff was extremly nice helping us whenever we needed.
"Housekeeping service to be improved"
For the first two nights housekeeping lady did not refill toiletries. I had to went down to front desk to get new shampoo and shower gel. She did not replace a new roll of toilet paper even it was used up.

Метро рядом,торговый центр тоже,завтраки хорошие,номера большие, убирают хорошо,но интернет плохо в номере ловит и все таки далеко от центра находится,прям спальный район.

Det er et super dejligt hotel, man kan ikke mærke at der er mange mennesker, der er 4 elevatorer, store værelser, med king size bed og dyne, flot stort badeværelse med kar og brus. Der var meget rent. Morgenbuffé var som en brunch. der er bare 100 meter til metro, ca. 15 min til centrum med den. der er ca 500 meter til stort center, med masse butikker […] og stort supermarked, diverse fastfood og restauranter... El hotel esta situado en Madrid capital pero a las afueras, con una parada de metro al lado que te lleva a cualquier zona turistica que deseas. A menos de 200 metros tiene un centro comercial con un Carrefour y restaurantes de comida rápida. Es una zona muy tranquila. Maravillosa la estancia que hemos pasado allí mi pareja y yo. Das HJotel liegt zwar etwas außerhalb, aber an einer U-Bahn-Station, die direkt ins Zentrum führt.

Su situación es magnifica, en las afueras de Madrid, lejos del ruido del centro para descansar, pero a escasos metros de una parada de metro que te lleva en 15 minutos a la Puerta del Sol. También hay muy cerca un centro comercial para realizar algunas compras y tomar algo.

Disfrutamos de una habitación muy espaciosa y luminosa. Cabían tres camas sobradamente. Y aún quedaba una entrada despejada. El ropero era doble y la mesa, también grande. Una butaca muy confortable y una silla completaban el mobiliario de una cómoda habitación. Había muchísima luz, pues estábamos en la novena planta y la habitación tenía dos grandes […] ventanas. Very good hotel. The only thing not so good is the bed we had in our room. It was tired, and ready for replacement.

Hotel ist absolut in Ordnung. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und sauber. Lediglich das Frühstück ist bei einem längeren Aufenthalt eintönig, da die Zusammensetzung nie geändert wird. Es gibt auch Wartezeiten an der Kaffeemaschine. Die Anbindung an das Zentrum ist perfekt, da die Metro Linea 2 nur ca. 100 m vom Hotel entfernt direkt ohne Umsteigen in die […] City fährt. Wir waren im 9.OG untergebracht und konnten daher auch die Fenster geöffnet lassen. Die Stadtgeräusche waren absolut erträglich, zumal wir nach einem erfüllten Tag in Madrid immer totmüde waren. ダウンタウンから外れていて、駅の周りもさびしい。 ただ、生活するという意味では、駅前に大きなショッピングセンターがあるし、solまで電車で１本、問題なし。 ホテルの部屋も広いし、まあきれいでした。 ただ、ドアの建付けが悪いところがあった。 ネットは、無線で、私の部屋はやや入りが悪かったが、仕事はできた。

"Q Far away from center but next to subway and mall"
Bath was small, no place to leave anything.Room space was ok, bed was hard. Windows not functioning properly.Room service threw away our own food from the minibar and then at reception we heard only lame excuses and received no compensation, apart from a bottle of water.The room price was ok though.
