"very good stay staff and breakfast"
pet friend policy is very good. sink was slow draining. facility clean. vs staff very good. breakfast quality and attendant especially good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Thought this hotel was very adequate. Our 3yo had a blast in the pool.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was nicely appointed..The included hot breakfast was fairly extensive and of good quality. One issue - the WiFi was on the slow side. Overall - very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Cleaning staff was inconsiderate - blocking hallways and elevators. Even when waiting for area to clear, had to interrupt and ask to be allowed through since they were too busy talking to take notice of guests. Took stairs to 3rd floor repeatedly because cleaning carts were clogging the elevator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was clean, the staff was very nice, and the breakfast was great. Even though the hotel was full, it was quiet. The bed was too firm (like sleeping on a board) and therefore did not sleep very well. I prefer pillow top mattresses which we find in almost every other hotel. Also the closet was dark and a light would have been helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Pet-friendly Hotel"
We always stay at this Hotel with our dog. We hadn't been there for a couple of years and were pleasantly surprised that the rooms had been re-done. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated, especially the removable coverlet on the beds, which can be washed after each stay and the bathroom was very clean as well. The breakfast was very good and […] we loved the new walking path as well. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay! We will go back next year! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Was easy to locate"
I would not pick the bottom floor again..Did not sleep well with all the noise from above and outside slamming doors and lights in window.. I also did not like that the parking lot was full and we had to park in a uhaual parking lot was very uncomfortable with no lights.. and not feeling my car was safe. The room itself was very clean and very nice.. […] The bed was very comfortable. The heater was very loud when it could kick off and on..II might try hotel again if we were on an upper floor? and Got back early enough to park in the parking lot.. "Delicioiusly Comfortable Bed"
What a treat for the weary traveler. I have never had a better bed at BW! This motel is charming, beautiful, & comfortable. Situated perfectly for sightseeing, strolling along the waterside walkway, gazing out at the vast waters. This is a definite re-visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"They're making progress"
The initial impression is that this motel is really tired and outdated. There is not a porte-cochere to drive up under when you register, so you have to park as close as you can and walk through the rainy weather (which it does a lot in the Astoria area) to check-in and unload / transport your bags. The lobby is dark and very dated with worn-out furnishings. […] When I arrived for check-in, the staff did not even acknowledge I was there as they worked with someone in line ahead of me. However once I made it to my room, it looked like a different motel. The room was located right above the lobby and appeared to have been completely remodeled very recently. The furnishings were good quality as was the fit and finish of the room itself (trim, doors, vanity, fixtures, etc.). The room had a new air conditioner and the bed was firm and comfortable. The shower head was nice and high (good for taller people) and the water pressure was more than adaquate. The only complaint was that I registered for a King (single occupant) and they checked me into a room with a Queen bed. Not a problem for me, but some might view it as a bit of a bait and switch. If they continue to remodel the rooms and, ultimately, the lobby and "sense of arrival", this motel may have some potential. In the meantime, I feel it is really overpriced. Check in was unorganized even though Check In is 4:00 P.M., but the staff was friendly and polite. The room was clean, and bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Chance to unplug!"
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Lincoln in Astoria, Oregon, on May 26-28, 2012. Only one inconvenience: Our personal room, 228, was not cleaned and refreshed on the morning of May 27th. However, our other room, 230, was in immaculate condition for our children! So, when we returned, after a full day in Cannon Beach and Seaside, at approximately […] 11:00 PM, our room was just as we left it 13 hours earlier in the day. Brianna, who was at the front desk, did bring us clean towels and bed dressings shortly after expressing our displeasure. However, I am not one to complain, but our closing billing statement showed no financial reflection on the inconvenience. Entire front desk staff was courteous, kind, and very helpful with answering any questions we had for them. If I could mention, our best service was presented by Ashley, who was a breathe of fresh air.....so, please, pass along our praises to her superiors!!! Plus, the food, swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna were delightful. Would we stay at this facility, absolutely! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Meat and Potatoes hotel"
This is a newer Best Western. It is a good basic family hotel. Room rates were a bargain. Everything else is as expected. Good clean basic lodging.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great place. Cookies in the evening, full breakfast in the AM and located on the mouth of Columbia River. Bit of a funky enterance to the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"There are much better choices"

Should have tried harder to get a room in a better property. Property located in a maritime junk yard. drive to property through a U-Haul lot. Road to driveway very hard to find in the dark. Sink didn't work right. Breakfast the same every day.
"great place to stay for families"

greated by a very pleasant young man and there were fresh baked cookies at checkin, which the kids liked. rooms are well renovated. beds are comfortable. kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. the whole family enjoyed eating a full breakfast in the morning in the hotel before exploring Astoria. the hotel was fully booked, but the staff managed to find us a room when we decided to stay an extra night. great amenities including high speed internet.

This was a great hotel. We had great views of the water and boat yard. The boat yard is a bit run-down, but it kind of added to the experience of Astoria. The pool, hot tub and sauna were excellent and a great place for your kid to burn off energy before bed. The room was very clean and modern. I could hear neighbors early in the morning in the room next door by my head board. The bed was really hard. But, it was a great overall experience.
"Nice Get Away!"

Inviting and good location and having the blue light welcoming you at night is comforting. (The blue light is to honor all servicemen) It was our 30th Wedding Anniversary and we like it in Astoria seeing the ships and being by the river and finding so much history.
"Lovely accomodations, friendly staff"
Enjoyed a 2 night stay here and found the staff friendly and helpful. Should of stayed longer, but there is always next time. Our room was clean and the breakfast is great. Glad to have a beverage other than water that a diabetic can have with their breakfast. A good start to a day of exploring the local area.
"Would stay here again"
09/29/14 ali-e-s-c Vancouver
Located on the very edge of Astoria (near the bridge down towards Seaside) it is about a 20 min walk along the river front promenade into town. I wouldn't bother paying extra for an upgrade to a river view (there is a big ship yard right behind the hotel so it's not exactly a 'view') but it is quiet and the room was comfortable and big. Breakfast is included and while it's nothing worth writing home about it filled us up. Happy to stay here again.
"Great spot with great rates, pet friendly, and awesome staff"

Wife and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location is great and has great views and access to everything Astoria and surrounding areas. Right by the bridge. Love the feel of the building.....has a nice cozy feel to it. Asked the staff or some extra help decorating the room for Katrina. Amanda stepped right up and helped us out. Great spot!

Warm cookies on check-in! Huge room! Great location, right on the water and with the "old" train car (you can catch it steps away), just a short distance to downtown Astoria. Bed was VERY comfortable. Nice hotel and would stay again.
"A good place to stay"

The purpose of my trip was to fish for salmon. The Columbia River at Astoria is excellent for this in the months of August and September. I believe this might me the best salmon fishing in the US outside of Alaska. The hotel is located near to the boat basin and to several good restaurants. The boat basin is not only where you can launch your own boat or meet a charter. It is also a resting area for many sea lions. With both California and Steller sea lions, it is an impressive display of marine mammals . Perhaps as a convenience to the angler guests at the hotel, the breakfast room was open earlier than the published time of 6 AM. Not all items were available, but there was enough to satisfy us. The only problem I see with the hotel is the parking. When the hotel is full, as it always seems to be during the salmon season, parking is rather tight. That is both in terms of the number of cars and space for backing out of a parking space. I did not see any parking for boat trailers.. That was not an issue for me, since I chartered a boat. However, if you are planning to bring a boat, I would check with the hotel. There might be an area for boats that I did not notice.
"Nice place to stay"

The location was a bit obscure but we had a harbor view room and it was very nice. There is no restaurant nearby so a car is a must. Breakfast could have been better. We often stay at Best Western hotels and this one did not compare in food choices. We would consider staying there again if we couldn't get into somewhere else closer to the downtown.
