This hotel is little small.. but cleanly maintained. During our stay I got an opportunity to see and experiece world's smallest rest room and lift :) Location is fantastic, its very close to syntagma square which is in walkable distance from all sites. Breakfast is good.. but, not very very intersting. The staff are very frindly, helpful, they received us with a great smile all the time and explained about the visiting places there. The best part in this hotel is: One day we went out for our regular outing but, we forgot the passports and lots of money on the bed. Realised that after few hours and came back to hotel.. the room was cleaned but, that bag..untouched :) I would suggest this hotel to others who looks for a best prices hotel but not very luxurious and in a location close to all sites..

The hotel is located in Plaka area. It serve a very good breakfast. The hotel is in a very safe area, next to the Sytagma Square. You can walk to the hotel from the square within 5 mins. Before September 2009, the Metro at airport is closed due to the construction. You can reach the Sytagma square by taking express bus #95 with 3.2 Euro. You can walk through the Plaka before you reach the Acropolis. The hotel room is very small. The space for taking shower is very small, and I can barely turn around. There are a lot of small hotels near to Amazon.

The Amazon is ideally located the Plaka and very close the shopping area, Syntagma Square (buses and trains to the airport) and is in within easy walking distance of the Parthenon, Lycabetus Hill, Psiri etc. The bedroom we had was clean, comfortable and quiet with a modernised bathroom with enclosed shower and pleasant decor. Breakfast was more than adequate and served in a bright, cheery room witth a constant flow of coffee, fresh fruit etc. Yes, the lifts are small (2 or 3 people) but nothing to cause any inconvenience. The Reception are is also small but the staff we met were courteous and professional. On the basis of what we experienced, I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a two/three night stop and we will definitely go back when we return to Athens.

The area was very convenient for walking to the Acropolis, the museums, shopping, the markets, the metro; and of course good Greek food. The people were friendly and the staff was always available to us for suggestions of restaurants, sights to see and other general info. We enjoyed our 3 days in Athens, but could have had more closet space and a larger shower, but all in all it was a great visit.

While the hotel room is small and bathroom very tiny, the only dissatisfaction was having to put toilet paper in the waste basket. It strikes me as unsanitary. The location was great for walking to all sites and this made up for any other problems for our 3 day stay..

Hotel was very comfortable, rooms small but adequate, excellent location for sightseeing and shopping/dining. Could not shut off the heat and rooms were overly warm - opening windows let in a lot of noise - so I settled on too warm. Though the breakfast room was a no smoking area, staff was smoking in the kitchen and this could be smelled. Cleaning staff and adjacent rooms with smokers was annoying, but probably still to be expected in this region. Front desk staff was helpful and pleasant. My colleague could not get internet in her room - apparently a couple rooms do not have working access, but mine was fine, if expensive. Overall, this hotel worked out very well for us for a few day's vacation following a meeting in Athens.

An unpretensious hotel offering comfortable rooms ina reasonably quiet location in easy walking distance of Syntegma Square. This measn that access to the airport via either metro (6 Euro) or bus (3.20 Euro) is stragiht forward. The continental breakfast was more than adequate - offering sufficient range of items (I am a vegetarian - so Athens was challenging in terms of finding places to eat). The staff on reception were all very helpful. The place was clean and the room well serviced. I will stay here next time I visit Athens either for business or pleasure.

This had a great location for walking everywhere. We did see a number of rooms that had 2 comfortable chairs, which would have been nice. We had one straight back.

We got a room close to the lobby and expected it to be noisy. It was VERY quiet. There were five of us sharing two rooms, and the receptionist was more than happy to accommodate our individual billing. I was very impressed with the room AND the service.

The hotel is centrally located, within easy walking distance to the Acropolis and other sites. In-room Internet access is a bit pricey (12 Euros per day).

The general hotel conditions, cleanliness, convenience etc... was fine, however, you have to be a dwarf to fit in the bathroom. All in all an OK hotel. and quiet, which is the main thing.

The best thing about this hotel was the location - it was steps away from Syntagma square and Platka and very convenient. However, this was not worth the money and very disappointing. Our double room was very small, even smaller than most European hotels and I literally could not even turn my body in the bathroom because it was so tiny. When I voiced my displeasure, the help just argued with me, telling me everyone loves their hotel and I muts be wrong. I finally was given another room the following day, which was a bit larger. I would not recommend this hotel due to the service and lack of value for money.

The staff was really helpful and the location is great. It's located two blocks from Syntagma square. Our room was exceptionally clean but it was extremely small. That is the only reason why I would not stay there again.

Hotel is in a very nice location, staffers are very accomodating and nice to the best of their ability. Free breakfast is commendable. Room we stayed in was very clean and no-hassle check-in and check-out process. We had a very postive experience staying in this hotel.

Amazon Hotel is an excellent home base for seeing Athens and coming back and forth between the islands. It is a short walk to the Acropolis and the restaurants in the Plaka. It is right near the Syntagma Square metro stop. And on top of all that, they can provide quiet rooms. The staff was friendly and tried their best to please. The rooms were clean and the hotel was in very good condition. I never found a soft bed in all of Greece, so don't expect that. We traveled as a 4 adults and we were all pleased.

Chambre & Salle de bain minuscules

Nous avons eu la chance de dormir dans la suite situee au dernier etage. La terrasse privative avec vue panoramique sur l Acropole est uniaue! La chambre et la salle de bains etaient tres confortables et impreccables. Le petit dejeuner etait un peu en -dessous des attentes, mais correct.

Mycket bra läge i Aten, nära Syntagmatorget. Litet men fint rum. Städningen var inte den bästa, men de bäddade om sängen varje gång vi gick ut. Bra AC och bra med ett litet kylskåp.

Rummet var rent och välstädad. Trevligt hotell med helt ok frukost. Läget vid Plaka var utmärkt. Man hade nära till butiker och restauranger samt promenadavstånd till Akropolis.

Close to Syntagma square, friendly staff, fair price

situation géographique très pratique pour les voyageurs qui transitent par athènes notamment entre l'aéroport et les îles grecques. confort standard sans plus et petit déjeuner continental banal. ne convient pas vraiment pour un séjour prolongé. rapport qualité prix moyen.

prima Hotel in der Innenstadt unweit der Akropolis. Zimmer sind "neu" eingerichtet und Dusche/WC zwar winzig aber sehr sauber.
