This is a great Hotel. It was difficult finding the lobby from the parking garage but we found someone who helped us.We ate in the bar and the food was good. I think the hotel caters more to business travelers but we found it to be a wonderful stay. The only complaint would be paying for the internet. I find this to be rediculous. Hilton seems to be the only Hotel chain that charges for this service. I had been traveling for over three weeks and never paid for internet. I stayed at another Hilton but did not hook up to the internet because of the fee.

Overall I was satisfied with my experience at the Hilton. The staff at the front desk was very nice. It's close to the convention center and the Tech Museum of Innovation. The only things I wasn't too pleased with was the room was set at 65 degrees and it wasn't extremely warm out so it was freezing and there was long black hairs hanging over the side of the tub and on the floor around the trash can. Otherwise seemed very clean.

We had a very nice stay at the Hilton San Jose. Parking was a bit of an issue as the hotel car park was full, but you can park next door for $20 per day. Rooms were very comfortable and accommodation is new. The kids enjoyed the pool, which is only small, but not too deep for them (3 ft).

We secured a room with a king bed but when we got there to check in they did not have one. They said they were going to upgrade us to a room with 2 queen beds. It did not seem much of an upgrade. The bathtub faucet dripped. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean. The lights in the bathroom were around the mirror and made it very difficult to put makeup on. The only other mirror in the room was the closet doors so we had to share the bathroom. Many hotels have mirrors in the room so one can use the bathroom and one can use the other mirror. Lastly, we had to pay $22 for a night of self park. I was not aware there was a parking charge. It was a good nights sleep so that was worth it.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel staff were great, the room service was great, no complaints at all there. The only issue we had was that we could hear traffic (both air and ground) all day and night. Nothing earplugs wouldn't take care of, but it was noisier than we would have liked. The rooms were very clean, housekeeping was attentive and the beds were comfortable. We will definitely stay here again, even with the noise.

Overall the stay was comfortable for me and my guests. The location was close to San Pedro square market and the tech museum. However, the only complaints I have are that the bathroom did not have toilet paper and room was dirty(wall stains, floor stains, busted bed boards, and smelly carpet).

So.........first impression. The first impression never lies. Hotel looks nice from the outside.....not tires and dowdy. Service at the door was very friendly and professional. Nice people at Valet. Hotel lobby has a really nice energy. Feels updated....nice taste. People at the counter were very friendly and professional. Didn't stick us on the least attractive floor. Put us on the best available. We appreciated that. Room was very nice with great views. After 2o minutes a couple of very loud people took the room next to us. With joining door, they sounded like they were in our room. Went to the desk and they were very understanding and friendly in changing our room. Gave us an upgrade from the 15th floor to the 18th which is the top floor and also gave us access to the executive lounge on the top floor which gave us free beer and wine and food. They didn't have to do that, but we were very impressed with their sincerity to turn the situation around which they did in an impeccable way. The new room was perfect with no adjoining door....very quiet with an even better view than before. Kudos to the front desk for showing us what perfect service looks like.

The Hilton San Jose is a solid hotel with a friendly staff. Like almost every hotel in the area they are not too flashy and don't have much of a WOW! factor. But the Hilton is practical and provides everything you need. The customer service is top notch. The gentleman at the front desk took the time to give us a clear map of the downtown along with restaurant/ bar details and transportation options. The accommodations are fairly new, clean and comfortable. The bartenders are sweet, friendly and helpful. However what makes this hotel a jewel for a traveler is its location. You are within walking distance to restaurants and bars in downtown San Jose. In addition, you walk right out back and the light rail is right across the street. For a couple of dollars you can go to the new Levi Stadium or Six Flags in a comfortable and safe ride. Just know the light rail only accommodates about 100 people. So when the stadium lets out be prepared to wait about an hour to get your train, unless you are smart enough to be the first ones out. Great stay and location.

This was by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The room was very clean and very comfy. We stayed in the 16th floor and the view was amazing. The service is really well.

I expected a little more from a 3.5 star Hilton property. This was closer to 3 stars. It's an older hotel with modern furniture. Most of the updates weren't done properly(still had holes in the wall).

Stayed here for on night to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. Staff was awesome. They gave us free drink vouchers and a free appetite. Also upgraded us to a room on the 16th floor to celebrate. We had an awesome time. The room was beautiful, beds cozy and view magnificent. We had a great time.

Everything was up to standards expected of a Hilton. Recently completed and attached to San Jose Convention Center. Down side was extra expenses like WIFI and parking fee. Valet is offered for $30+ per day. Parking structure is shared with convention center. Although Hilton has dedicated parking for hotel, guests must walk across convention's lobby to access Hotel. Not to far of a walk but a nuisance non the less. Might be issue with elderly.

Nice hotel as you walk in fancy shmancy I was excited for picking a nice hotel for my family. For starters no breakfast coupons of any kind. $20 for parking at their own hotel (for their own guest) Going up to the room the hallway smells like wet mop. In the room hair on the floor Something slimmed and wet on the dresser handle. A curly hair on the bathroom floor. Water pressure in the shower is like as strong as my grandsons urine. The walls are as thin as papper you can hear EVERYTHING. So I go get breakfast in the morning: A fruit bowl $7 A oatmeal bowl $9 Buffet for breakfast $19 +tax A night stay at the outdated Hilton Almost $200. Next time THE MARRIOTT COURT YARD

We always stay here for the Jazz Festival and they do not have enough help scheduled for the restaurant in the morning and the bar at night. The staff who are there are gracious, hardworking and competent, but they need to hire more for large events. It made it even worse that there was a reunion there as well!

The experience was not good. The parking space was too small. My right rear view mirror was broken. The bathroom walls were dirty. The refrigerator was rusted. Hilton hotel did not live up to its name. Very disappointed.

I booked two rooms at this hotel for a group of us to visit San Jose for a friend's birthday weekend. After checking in, we were about to go upstairs when we were harassed by a security guard about whether or not we had alcohol with us. As we are a group of late-20's/early-30's professionals, we were taken aback at being shaken down like a bunch of teenagers. When one member in our group said that we did have two nice bottles of wine with us (for a birthday gift) we were told that we would not be allowed upstairs. When we asked why, they said that since they sell alcohol at their hotel they have a policy of no outside drinks entering, no matter how small. When I stated that there was no such policy on their website or on anything related to our reservation the security guard called over the manager who restated their supposed policy. Then they both tried to tell us that all hotels have this policy, which is blatantly untrue (I used to work in the hospitality industry). The whole thing was such a terrible and bizarre experience, one in which we were embarrassingly scolded in the lobby over two bottles of wine that were given as a birthday gift. Having strange, hidden policies to satisfy arbitrary needs of the hotel is ridiculous and unprofessional, and telling us that we needed to dispose of our wine and instead buy bottles of their wine makes Hilton look cheap and desperate. We'll never stay here again and recommend staying away if you can.

Upon arrival all front desk staff members were rude. They didn't even welcome us in and the manager (Asian man) talked to us with a rude voice tone. We couldn't even get valet parking. However the maintenance ladies were a delight, they were really friendly and always all smiles. Despite their burdensome job. If you ask me they should be running the front desk.

The room and staff were excellent. However, there is NO parking and it is 30$ for valet and $20 to use their garage for self park. It was not advertised when booking so it was a little disappointing to drive in too. Overall, it was a fun friendly hotel, and it was worth it to stop for the night

I compared reviews of all of the hotels in and around San Jose and chose the Hilton. The rooms are safe, clean and comfortable. The Hilton offered top-notch, friendly service. Our room overlooked the street and mountains beyond- beautiful yet very little noise. Room service was speedy. I understand parking is pricey, but you might not need a car with so many cool places within walking distance and the inexpensive light rail right outside. The pool is small but perfect if you have small children. My only regret is not booking our entire stay there, when I tried to get additional nights they were already booked solid for a convention :(

Room was sparse, not even a mini-fridge. The view was of the homeless people outside. You have to drive or take public transportation to get downtown where all the action is. Parking of $30 a night! Small TV, no comfortable chairs and you hit your knees on the door when trying to go to the bathroom.

They don't seem to maintain the rooms. There's damage all over the walls. Oh and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest.

parking is ridiculously expensive, elevators were slow and one was to in service for the 4 days i was there
