We stayed here in a harbor view room for a few days before embarking on a cruise on the Azamara Quest. This size ship uses the port terminal connected to the hotel, and we watched our ship dock from our hotel window. A hotel porter took our luggage to the ship. The Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel met all our expectations and then some. Would highly recommend this hotel. Being on the Kowloon side with a harbor view room overlooking Victoria Harbor and Hong Kong Island was the perfect place for New Year's Eve. The staff was bad and not friendly. The front desk did not know the answers to any of my questions about Hong Kong. They gave away my connecting room for the first two days of my stay and I wound up with one room for 3/4 of a day when I was paying for 2 rooms. The hotel was just what I expected. The staff was very courteous, and my room had a great view of the harbor, as I requested. It is a short walk around the corner to the Star Ferry and the Star Cruise ship. The Marco Polo Hotel in Kowloon gave us a "10" in bedroom view, You simply must pay the small extra $ for the view of Victoria Harbor, esp. as it is the loveliest that I have ever seen. It is a good feeling to pull up to the hotel, you are treated well and it is a good feeling when you first see your room and, of course, the view. It seems that October would be the most deliteful time to go, because it is after the rainy season but the many lovely beaches of HK are still opened and the weather is usually lovely. The Fron Desk did not have the correct room type for me. Their English was marginal. They took 20 minutes to check me in. They even checked in other guests before they finished my check in. The physical hotel is very nice, but check in ruined the experience.

Really liked the Marco Polo. Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. While most business is done on the island side, staying in Kowloon gives you a terrific view of the H.K. skyline. Shopping on the Kowloon side was more reasonable than across the harbor as well.

I am a frequent visitor to Hong Kong. We usually stay on the Hong Kong side at the Grand Hyatt or Renaissance but couldn't get in. This is a nice hotel hotel convenient to Star Ferry and therefore Hong Kong Convention centre.(reason for my stay) Rooms are large and reasonably well appointed. Staff are unobtrusive but helpful when required. Restaurant […] was good for breakfast and dinner although not cheap. Only drawback was lack of eating options outside the hotel within walking distance. Just a Macca's and one of those Cafe De Coral things which I don't like. Plenty of other dining options a bit further up Nathan Road but a bit far to walk if you've been on your feet all day. Excellent location on Victoria Harbour. Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island is at the back of the hotel. Hotel is located in one of the best locations in Kowloon.The staff are very helpful and the rooms are large and clean,but there are some issues with the beds. They are as hard as cement. I had a sore back every morning after sleeping on them. There was also a problem with the water pressure in our room.

This hotel is a bit tired. The room smelt terrible - very musty and stale! Staff were pleasant enough and the location was right in Harbour City. No views from the room - and I suspect most of the rooms wouldn't have a view, unless you were paying top dollar for one of the higher floors. All the staff were great. We were able to get into our room at 8.30 am after a long flight, so really appreciated. Great position, extremely clean room and the facilities were excellent. Food was also superb - cannot fault. Would definitely stay there on our trips to Hong Kong

The Star Ferry around the corner, just minutes away, and almost on the corner of Nathan Rd opposite lots of very upmarket shops, but the buses or trains were very easily accessible to all the markets. Everything was excellent! Great room, the biggest I've stayed so far, larger than the Shangrila's standard rooms, enjoyed the choices of pillows and the complimentary wireless internet. Wonderful location with so many restaurants and fabulous harbour view from the room! Really enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel with friendly staff. Great attention to detail, really loved the service at the pool, and was delighted to come home every evening to find that the bed had been turned down and fresh bottled water by our bed. I would reccomend to anyone.
