Hotel desperately needs updating. Bathroom very small and bed uncomfortable. But it was only one night. I do wish I booked elsewhere.

We were in town w/a large group for a local race (spread over 3 diff. hotels in town). Last minute we had to find a room for 2 additional people. I offered the option of staying in my room. My experience w/the mangmt wasn't good. They are rather strict. They are not concerned with the happiness of their visitors. First she demanded I pay $20 extra pp […] & then when she could see I wasn't just going to "bend over"... it was lowered to $10 pp #plus tax#. We did not even shower in this place. I do not understand how my xtra 2 people were such a burden to her. She treated me like a liar & demanded that if we didn't pay her fee that these two ladies leave the premises immediately. Not to mention it feels like you are staying in some sort of military fort due to the elevated walk way #see photo of front... hard to explain#. The parking lot is in the center and the building goes around three edges of the parking lot #with a neighboring building making up the fourth edge#. We were able to experience the management and staff at another local hotel because our some of our group was staying there and it was so nice that we will be going there next year. All we wanted to do was get a good nights rest before our race. I only got two and a half hours of sleep because of the loud drunken people outside #the walls are paper thin# I heard several late night conversations, doors slamming, the people standing outside their room smoking etc. I It IS clean though we won't stay here next year. I was very unhappy with my stay. Very disappointed that I was charged an extra $40.00 ($20.00 per dog) plus tax for my 2 small dogs that were with me. I was told it is a fee due to steam cleaning of the room, that may be so but they will only clean it once no matter how many dogs were in the room. There was no coffee pot in the room. The price was great. We went to visit my son at college which is 5 hours away. We just wanted to drive up, drop our bags and have dinner, get some sleep and head home the next day. This motel was perfect for that. It was not a sketchy situation at all. Thanks for a nice stay at a great price.

It's perfectly situated within walking distance of all of the great restaurants in Cortland. The beds are not comfortable though and the blankets are SO scratchy. The room did not smell very nice, but after the AC was turned on it was better. The sheets were clean, but not very soft. The sink had rust around the drain and sides, very old. The hotel seemed old and ready for some updating.

Staff was wonderful as was the complimentary breakfast. Free Internet was very important. We appreciated the microwave, frig and hairdryer, but there was no iron or ironing board. We were there for a funeral and really needed to do some pressing. There was no lightbulb in the floor lamp. The sink and and bath areas REALLY need to be updated....shower […] water was lukewarm, not hot. We chose this hotel because it DID have smoking rooms which was a big consieration due to the reason for our visit...very difficult during the stress surrounding a death for a smoker to be comfortable in most hotels which do not have smoking rooms Read more

This motel seems to mainly cater to the college-age crowd on the weekends. I don't know if this is true of mid-week as well. The hotel is pretty clean and comfortable. The room adjacent to our room seemed to have a ground of young folks having a party. We were waken up around 3:00 AM. I had to call the front desk. It seemed that the front desk handled the case. Just it was not a good experience to be waken up in the middle of night.

This was one of the lowest cost hotels in the area, and the reason is very apparent. The room was musty, one of the lights did not work, and one of the others was a fire hazard, with the socket loose and hanging off the lamp. Even with all the lights on, the room was very dark. The walls were quite distressed, with holes and what appeared to be a knife […] slash. The beds were not very attractive, with only a bottom sheet covering the mattress, not even a mattress pad. There were red stains on the side of the mattress (fortunately appeared to be kool aid or some other juice). The location was not a very nice one, and did not make us feel very comfortable. It is never a good sign when there are bare wires sticking out of the walls, a plunger next to the toilet and a toilet that wobbles when you sit on it! The room appeared visually “clean” at first glance, but had a musty smell. Blankets looked like they were from the 50’s and had a very dirty appearance.

I would not recommend. Requested a non smoking room. A non smoking sign was placed on a smoking room. Bathrooms were rundown and showed significant signs of wear and tear. Hotel owner/manager was not reasonable about refunding money. The Ramada down the street was very clean!

Excellent place to stay for a ski trip to Greek Peak. Hotel is very convenient to the slopes and to dining. Short drive to Syracuse for bigger city experience.

I think it is a shame when this place is the least expensive but still has problems like this. The light in the bathroom was over the tub, so with the curtain pulled it was very low light. Had to have the door closed to get to the toilet tissue. The fluorescent light over the sink was dim and flickered. Only one floor lamp worked, there was another […] lamp and the ones between the beds, but there was no switch on them so you couldn't turn them on. This was a smoking room and the ashtray was white plastic with stains, and there were ashes on the bedside table around the ashtray. The room smelled like it had not been aired out in quite some time. There was a tear in the box springs of one bed and with all the talk about bedbugs these days, seeing that did not help us rest easy on the old mattresses that were on the beds.
