The room doesn't have a fridge and a microwave as stated on their site. The pool is closed on a nice sunny day. Wi-fi is so slow. You have to ask housekeeping to refill your shampoo. Breakfast is so so- the bagel is hard and the lemon poppy seed pastry looks like it's been sitting there for days. It's in a tray that's covered with layers of plastic […] wrapper - but breakfast is free so it's like you don't have the right to complain. We are smokers, we had a smoking room. It stunk! No fans, no ventilation, no opening windows. There was a Phi Gama Cappa party on the 1floor, we were on the 2nd, right over the party...it was terrible! I was there for a very emotional trip & our stay at this hotel was not comforting at all. I stay here every year for the Reno air races. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer a shuttle to the races. It is very quiet here, but close to the freeway so access is really covenient. I will continue to stay here.

The stay was okay, the only complaint that I would say would be the beds. The beds were really hard on our backs, it was like sleeping on a board or something along those lines. The rest of the hotel was nice, pool was taken care of as well as the hot tub and the exercise equipment. Overall the stay was good. Thanks!

The hotel was clean and quiet--which was a pleasant surprise since it is so close to a busy area. The man at the front desk was not helpful at check-in, but everything else was nice. The shuttle service to the airport was quick and the driver was great.

Called for towels. Had to go to 1st floor and get them. No ice machine on our floor. Had to go to front desk who in turn had to go to bar & grill to get ice. Sierra bar & grill inside hotel was a very long wait for any type of service even though there were only five tables with customers. One waitress. I'm guessing one cook. Food took forever and we […] were very disappointed with the quality of cooking. Burnt burger patty. Rock hard pizza my daughter couldn't bite better yet chew. "kids eat free" only if you ask, even though it's printed on the menus. Otherwise, they'll bill you if you don't realize they charged you for it. This gets marked down, even though it was very clean, the staff was great, the condition was great, but there was a lot of noise from somewhere at street level, a throbbing bass beat that was very loud and sleep disturbing. Also the neighborhood isn't the best.

First the negative, the elevators were malfunctioning most of the time I was there. I was with my 89 year old grandmother, who cannot climb or descend stairs. Breakfast was included with the price of the room through Expedia, yet I had to insist to the staff that I had paid for the breakfast to be included. I don't know if they are constantly lied to […] by previous guests, but it was a little strange to have to answer "yes, this was included in the expedia price" FOUR times. And the dining area was empty on Monday, and someone had to go to the back to find someone to help me. Once the staff was there though, they were EXCELLENT. The room was wonderful, the bed and the bedding was terrific, the room was spotless and attractive. Very comfortable. I was staying with my Grandmother, who is the cheapest and fussiest woman on the planet, and she didn't have a single complaint. Luckily, whenever I had my Grandmother with me, that's when the elevator was working. It was when I was by myself that I had to take the stairs. Last thing, the front desk employee named Chuck was awesome. My Grandmother can be obnoxious when she thinks she is being ripped off (which is anytime she has to pay for something) and he was kind, understanding, efficient and charmed the socks off her. Normally she offends anyone (pharmacists, doctors, dentists, restaurant waitstaff, family, perfect strangers) who has business dealings with her, but Chuck worked hard to get along with her. No refrigerator and it took several calls to get an extra ice bucket. Not a single available electrical outlet in the room. That was a bit odd having to unplug the clock radio and/or lamp in order to plug in my laptop or cell phone charger. Otherwise the hotel was clean and met our needs.

I stayed here for one night when I flew in for a funeral and flew out the next morning. I got a very cheap rate through expedia so was not expecting much. this hotel is new, well kept and has excellent service. The lobby is modern and clean. There is a computer to print boarding passes, etc. Rooms are very nice with nice beds and lots of pillows. nice […] desk office chair an upholstered chair. Includes free breakfast. Got a free bottle of water when I checked in. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and was willing to go out of his way to help me. ( I did not need much, but the group of 4 in front of me had lots of questions and he really went above and beyond to help them). The hotel also has a new and nice workout facility. Very nice surprise and I will come back if ever in Reno again! Hotel was in an "industrial" type area. I felt safe and it was quiet. Room and restroom clean. Towels and sheets comfy. The AC unit was too loud, and didn't have just a fan setting; nor did the windows open, so not using the AC was not an option. Also would prefer an exhaust fan in restroom and more electrical outlets throughout the room. Staff was friendly.

Paid much more for this room than for our rooms at Best Western. Only 2 outlets in the room and all of the plugs were in use. Had to borrow an extension cord from the front desk and move the dresser (with the tv on top) to plug in my laptop. We could not get the digital tv channels or national stations like ABC, NBC, CBS. The only down side of this hotel is it is right on the freeway. That aside, it is very clean and nice. I don't like to stay at casinos on business trips and this is a comfortable place to stay and work. I stay here 90% of the time I travel to Reno. The Hotel resturant is OK.

We stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn in Sparks. The staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. The room was on the top floor as requested. It could have used a comfortable chair as there was only the desk chair so if we watched TV someone had to sit on the bed. We ate dinner in the restaurant in the hotel on the recommendation of Chuck at […] the front desk. Not a good decision. The other people at the bar were loud and profane. The rooms were immaculate. We picked a very busy holiday weekend with a major youth basketball tournament taking up much of the hotel rooms. The management ensured we were not disturbed and had what we needed. Would definitely stay again.
