Ive been waiting 2 months for this trip and waking up to see a ocean front view.....well my view was the swimming pool but if I tip tow over the pool I could see the ocean....that was my only downfall

All was great. Friendly staff and nice location. Ventilation for the indoor pool area would be nice. I was just sitting watching my kids swim but had to leave because of my eyes burning. We will definitely stay at the Sea Mist again.

The check in staff was'nt welcoming. First trip to myrtle beach in awhile. The ocenview room was'nt as pleasant as the oceanfront room. Not much view of the ocean. The hotel is old. The breakfast at Tinas was excellant. The service was good, but would'nt stay at this particular hotel again, when i visit the beach.

Only one indoor pool operational and the one that was steam burned your eyes no filtration system working room was suppose to be ocean front was not no stove or hair dryer had to buy soap and the list goes on and on :-(

Lots of people being checked in (i guess due to spring break) but line did move kinda quickly. Not alot of close/convenient parking spaces. Rooms could use some upgrades/remodeling. Did not like the fact that the many pools and play areas where not all open (some closed due to maintenance) and there was an extra fee to get in. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and was unable to check in to our rooms at 4pm. We had to wait around until almost 5pm because our rooms were not ready. Check out time is 11am....In addition, the pictures of the resort are very misleading. The pool area pics shown were not at our particular building and most of the pools were closed. First impression was nice. Great beach view and fairly comfortable room. Later the first night we had water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom. We requested a new room. At first they dragged their feet, but after persistant phone calls to the front desk, they gave us a new room. The facilities were poorly managed. The indoor pool was advertised to us as we were checking. Turns out it was closed for maintenance (really lack of maintenance). Location is good. The "dog parks" were cages no bigger than 10x10 for some. Looks like a lot of corners were cut, overall 2/5 stars.

Hotel was dirty. Pools were very dirty and one of the pools was out of service. I wouldn't touch the hot tub if someone payed me. It was a good thing the beach was there for my family and I to enjoy.

We stayed at the Sea Mist for three nights and loved it. It's an older resort, the staff are awesome. The water park and pools are well maintained. Perfect location . Get a room oceanfront... You won't be dissappointed!!!!

The reviews were mixed, but the room was dirty, we stayed 4 nights and the same dustballs remained on the floor after the cleaning crew came through, the hallways were filthy, and the pool area in the one building was full of mold on the floors and walls. We stayed in a pet friendly room it was quite small. The room was not very clean but had an excellent view. Front office was very nice and courteous. Our room was located in the sandcastle building and parking there is very limited without having to park across the street which was a big inconvience with small children!

My husband and I stayed for Valentine's weekend. We are from S.C. so imagine our surprise when it SNOWED the second night. Resort was nice and clean. Pools seemed nice. Parking was ample but it was a bit of a hike to our room. Will stay again.

Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms and buildings are outdated but nice enough. You get what you pay for. Great location right on the beach, about a mile walk from the boardwalk. The room was fine, the furnishings were showing age. The matress had obviously been slept in a lot. The floor we were on and the building we were in need paint. Check in was slow. Put us in a very bad room, but thanks to the housekeeper Carrie we were changed to a room more like those on the website. No coffee filters or coffee. Views are amazing tho!! Probablly wont consider next time in the area

Myrtle beach is an expensive area, but the hotel is very nice. The indoor pool and miniture golf were both free with the resort. On the first morning, the hotel supplied spatula broke, I called the front desk and within 20 minutes someone came up to to room to replace it. Very fast service, polite, friendly and clean.

Had a great stay at the sea mist! We loved being right on the beach and having a balcony. Our room was clean and tastefully decorated. The pool was a favorite place for our 5 year old to burn off energy!

Enjoyed but wish access to exercise room would be 24 hours with key. Also ashtrays need to be provided in smoking rooms, Also rooms infront of the jacuzzi pool are noisy outside, for people who want rest and do not care about the pool should be placed in other areas. People who like the jacuzzi rooms should be near it.

Arrived at night and we were a little concerned about the outside appearance because it was not what I was expecting from a 4 star resort. The rooms were better than what the outside made us think they would be. The ice machines were not working so had to make a trip immediately to the grocery store but it was fairly close. The indoor pool was a horrible […] nightmare. The chemicals were so strong my eyes, sinuses and throat were on fire and that was only from sitting by the pool while my children swam. I got them out quickly. To sum it up you get what you pay for. Rates were cheap and I guess that would be my one word description of this resort. For February the parking was terrible. Couldn't imagine trying to find a place to park during the busy season. The room was just ok. Dated would be a good way to describe the place. No bugs or roaches but nothing special either.

the beds are small parking sucks and the staff isnt the nicest on the phones. but lots of things to do great pools and play area and mini golf for free was great for the kids. kinda wished more of the outdoor stuff was open like heated we can only go in the off season and it would be cool to do more of the outside pools. but overall would return just […] be prepared to have to walk alot and more then likely have to park aways from your hotel in the parking deck which does not have the bag carts.
