This hotel was being painted during my visit and it needed it. An older property on the the road immediately abutting I-5, the only charm this hotel exudes is its adjacency to Old Town. Great trip and great location! I was in San Diego to visit family, and the cental location was so convenient! Also because it is walking distance to Old Town I was able to pick up some items to take home and send a postcard. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Thanks La Quinta for a great visit!

I do a lot of business in SanDiego, so I am there frquently. The hotel is clean and very close to old town. The staff was very nice and provided good service. The only down side to the hotel is the location. It sits right on a freeway on ramp. So the rooms at the front look out on to I5.

very clean and nice hotel only problem is when doors slam across the hall you can feel the whole room shake. sometimes you can hear the cleaning cart going across the hallways. It felt like walls were very thin. other than that it's a great hotel very close to freeway entrances and exits.

The staff was fabulous. The room was comfortable and clean. Stayed 6 nights. The only down side, the hot tub was luke warm at best, and they were remodeling some rooms so there was some construction mess, no noise until the morning we were checking out so that was good! I would stay again. And only blocks from Old Town!

The Front Desk staff when we arrived were excellent! Very helpful and friendly! The only unfortunate thing about our stay was the wet carpet from shampooing. The location is wonderful, and the shuttle service to the airport was top notch!!!!

Service was terrible, it took 45min to check in! Once we did the refrigerator was not working, and it took about an hour to switch to another room. We order additional set of towels, and 4 hours later we were brought 1 additional towel and told that it was the only clean towel available until the next day. The underground parking lot of this hotel was a good idea but poorly executed. The spaces are ridiculously small and extremely difficult to get into...and I was driving in Ford Fiesta rental! If you're not an experienced driver, have a large vehicle, or normally have a hard time parking in tight places, skip this hotel.

Hotel itself was fine, staff great. Tiny little undergroung parking(the kind where the spaces are not any wider than a car) with no spots available. Had to park on the street, literally there was homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk.

What fun to stay close to exciting Old Town. The hotel was very nice for its class. Two things that might really bother other folks but I did not mind too much: you could not close the heavier drapes all the way and the noise from kids in the pool rackets around the courtyard (nothing they can do about that).

Good spot! It's next to the fwy but it isn't even a big deal because we went to have fun and not to stay in the room and look out the window. My husband and I visited with another couple and we each had our own room. We walked to the shops and had lunch and at night we had a taxi take us to the gaslamp district and the cab charged us $15 which isn't […] bad. We had a GREAT time!
