I WILL NEVER BOOK ANOTHER SUPER 8 MOTEL. THE ROOM WAS EXTREMELY SMALL. IT WAS NOT AS CLEAN AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. THE ROOMS ON THAT LEVEL WERE ACTUALLY IN THE BASEMENT. I WILL PAY A LITTLE MORE TO STAY IN A NICER PLACE.

For the price this hotel was ok, the rooms smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. Smoking rooms were every other room. Breakfast was ok the following morning. Staff was friendly.

I thought this was a good motel for the price. The hall had that funky motel smell, but the room was fine. Do not know when this room had been painted but it still had the smell. Gave me a migraine after 1 hour there. Old Tv, small room felt like I was in the basement. Staff was nice just very old and not worth the price.

I rarely write a review, but in this case I'm happy to do it. The lobby area and hallways look a bit low budget, but the rooms are fantastic. We had two rooms with king size beds and one was smoking at the other was non-smoking. Even though they were across from each other I could not smell any smoke. The rooms had a microwave, refrigerator, and wi-fi. […] The bed was extremely comfortable and equal to the my bed at home. The room was stylishly furnished, and the bathroom was nice and clean. My boyfriend and I were travelling across the country and were due to stop in Amarillo for the night. We are on a budget, so we were looking for somewhere cheap that had decent reviews. This seemed like the place for us. Let me just say that I've never, EVER stayed at a worse motel...and I've stayed at quite a few cheap ones. Their service was awful, […] their rooms were NOT clean, and we didn't feel very safe at all. We had booked a queen-sized room, and upon arriving (after we were given an unfriendly welcome at the desk), the light in our room didn't work. Since we aren't terribly picky people, we ignored that, and went out to dinner. When we returned, we noticed the sheets and comforter were stained, very noticeably. If we weren't already terribly disgusted, there were pubic hairs behind the bathroom door, and it looked as though nobody had cleaned that floor in weeks. At that point, I called the front desk and asked to switch rooms. In an accusing tone (although I'm not sure what she could have been accusing us of) she said, "You've been in that room for 2 hours and you're just now noticing this?" Not an "I'm sorry, that's unacceptable. Let's get you into a new room." After basically pleading with her for a new room, she downgraded us to a twin sized bed.We went downstairs to get the key to the new room and she was very sarcastic and rude, and the whole downstairs area smelled like dirty diapers.Our new room was lacking a dead bolt. We just needed a somewhat clean place to crash for a night and this hotel served it's purpose. The only concerning thing was the surrounding neighborhood seemed to be very sketchy and we would not stay there again for that reason.

Very convenient on-off I-40. McDonalds, Subway, and Waffle House very close. Its obvious that truckers really like this hotel for its convenience.

The hotel was clean and the room was clean. Only complaint I have is the graveyard shift clerk was very annoying. I was also on the 1st floor and the people above me were extremely noisy and kids running back and forth for hours! I will never stay on the 1st floor again!

The location near I-40 is convenient, and it accomplishes the basic Super 8 goal of affordable, no-frills motel lodging for the interstate traveler, without being exceptional in any way. The westernmost of the three Super 8s along I-40 in Amarillo looked a bit more […] elaborate, but is less convenient for those seeking a room on the east side of town. Plusses: The staff was really nice, and there were plenty of security cameras throughout the hallway. Also, the facility is very conveniently located on the highway. Minuses: The hotel was in pretty poor condition. It smelled foul, the room was worn out, and the layout of the facility is awkward. I think it is due for a renovation.

I would not recommend this hotel at all. The outdoor temperature that day had been 108°. In spite of the fact that I had a paid reservation, the room air conditioning was not on; thus the room was so hot. It wasn't cool enough for sleeping until around 3:00 a.m.

I paid for this reservation in advance but had to cancel the reservation because we were not in Amarillo that night. I was surprised to find out that I would not get a refund. So you can make a reservation and not show up and not be billed, but if you pay in advance and not show up you get dinged. Great customer service there!

The door to our room was all tore up like someone had tried to break into it. Near the lock you could actually see into the room. We had to shove a towel in the cracks to keep someone from seeing in. We were in a non-smoking room but the whole place smelled like a smoke bomb. Just an old, dingy kind of place and would never stay there again.

This is not a vacation hotel, this is a workers hotel. I was in town to do some work a few miles down the road, and for the price, it was great. Beds were firm, pillows were good, decent tv channels and the place was clean. This is not a hotel for a romantic getaway, or to take your kids, but for the price and what i expected? It was great.
