The rooms at the Marriott's Ko'Olina Beach club were great. They were large and comfortable. The pool was also better than expected. The children loved the water slide as it was extremely fast!!! There are 8 grills out by the beach and there are ample tools for people to use while having a BBQ. The Costco and Safeway are about 3 miles away so you can […] stock up on food and drinks to save money. Three negatives: 1) The parking is $30 dollars a day. 2) It is easy to get stuck here and never tour the island and see the sites. 3) the rooms could have better cooking pots/pans/knives etc. Overall, we loved this resort and will definitely be back again. Nice resort experience, but extremely pricey. We were upgraded to a 1-bedroom suite due to a booking error and, thank goodness. I was appalled by the small, dark studio room we were initially given in light of paying many hundreds of dollars for the booking. The suite, however, was very spacious and bright, and the kitchen was fantastic for cooking […] our own meals. Unfortunately, I would not pay the asking rates for the suite, so it's unlikely that we will ever return. Parking was an additional $30/day. Check in is very late (4 pm) and check out is early (10 am), although the staff are really helpful when it comes to storing your luggage and allowing you to enjoy the property after check out. The overall experience at Ko Olina is great for a relaxing vacation, but the prices really are ridiculous. Read more

The hotel was very welcoming and the staff friendly. The on-site beachfront restaurant was pretty good if you don't mind hotel pricing which is nothing more than other hotels. The beach area was really nice. It was great being able to swim in January and not worry about riptides. Plus there were fantastic sunsets! The only thing I would caution is that […] you really need a car if you plan to do any sightseeing. The hotel is in a fairly remote area, but it's a short drive to either Honolulu or North Shore. My husband and I took my 90 year old mother to the Ko'Olina Beach Resort for a getaway vacation from where she lives in Kaimuki. Since she is unable to get about much, our plan was to spend time relaxing on the lanai, taking in the view and if possible sit by the lagoon or poolside. Most of the time was to be spent on the lanai. We were very disappointed […] to find our lanai view was predominately looking across the marina at Campbell Industrial Park. In order to enjoy our advertised "ocean view", we would each have to sit one behind the other like a theater setting. It wasn't so much the lack of the ocean view that was the problem. We would have taken any view that was scenic even overlooking the pools. If my mom were able to get around, we could have enjoyed the view from the lagoons or walkways. Absolutely beautiful resort hotel. Great poolside views and amenities. The location was very good if you want Oahu but don't want to be in the middle of Honolulu or Waikiki. This was 30 minutes from Honolulu, and 5 minutes from a town with groceries and restaurants. The hotel restaurant Chucks exceeded expectations - it wasn't the most expensive restaurant […] we ate at but it probably was the best. The staff was great in some respects, not great in other respects. For the run of the mill requests, very nice, and the event staff (Fia Fia) were great. For non-standard requests I didn't feel like they were willing to do anything unusual (we had a lost and found issue, and they really couldn't be bothered). We tried a hotel in Waikiki Beach, but say to noise (jackhammers, sirenes, yelling) and felt we needed to find some peace and appreciate Hawaii a bit more. We happened upon the Marriot Ko Olina Beach Club when browsing your site for alternatives and are thrilled that we did. Facility is in impeccable condition and the 2 bedroom villa we had was spacious […] and very well equipped. Fold out couches were a bit stiff and uncomfortable, but otherwise all was perfect. This is a very family oriented facility, so adults with no children and/or gay travellers may find it does not "fit" too well due to the facilities and family groups. The staff was very friendly, positive, helpful and eager to assist wherever possible. Location is about 30 - 45 minutes from Honolulu - depending on traffic, but well worth the drive to "escape" the hustle and bustle. Read more

We stayed here for four nights. The best thing about this hotel are the pools and lagoons. The worst is the food. The food at the restaurants were mediocre at best. The pizza at the marketplace was terrible. Buy your food at Costco in Kapolei and BBQ by the pool. Way cheaper and tastes way better. We were expecting a nice place but my family and I were pleasantly blown away by the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club! Although we got away every day to see other various parts of the island, we kept wanting to get back to the Beach Club to relax and enjoy the amenities there! I think our favorite feature on the property was the multi level swimming pool […] with waterfalls, pass through cave and a water slide. The food at the dining venues was also top notch with beachside locations that can't be beat. Our 2 br villa was large enough for us all to be comfortable and was clean and tastefully decorated, with every convenience including washer/dryer and full kitchen. The staff was courteous and attentive without being overbearing. There were amenities and activities for every age group. A nice establishment with good facilities. It could be a great place to have a vacation but there is a couple of things that should be seriously considered that are going against this place and other hotels in the same area. 1) They charge ~$30 day for a parking just because they can. It is 20 miles to the city with a ton of empty space around it that […] could have been used for parking, but ohh no it is sweeter to charge the guest buy giving them to other option. All hotels around are doing the same. 2) Be careful about the so-called OCEAN-VIEW rooms. We paid for it and arrived there only to find out that our room was looking at the resort across our tower. You could see the ocean from one corner of the balcony and so they called it and charged for it as ocean-view. I had to fight for it and ask for my money back to get to a real ocean-view room the next day. 3) The water here is quite wavy and really not good for anything. That is why they have the lagoons. Lagoons are kind of nice since they are calm and good for kids. However, it is not clear most of the time since it is man-made. Can hardly see two yards out most of the time and there is no life in it. It is really like a pool with salty water in it. You can't see fish here if that is what you are hoping. Read more

タイムシェアの体験宿泊に続いて利用しました。最初の部屋がオーシャンビューでかつフルキッチンタイプの広い部屋でしたので、後半のマウンテンビューでのミニキッチン付スタジオタイプの部屋は、少々手狭でした。ホテル全体の施設や雰囲気はとてもよかったです。ただし、タイムシェアのお客さんはリタイア組が多いためか、豪華な老人ホーム的な感もあります (悪い意味ではなく、超のんびりという感じ)。こちらを利用するなら、多少価格が上がってもオーションビューかつフルキッチンタイプの部屋を利用をお勧めします。またワイキキまでの移動は、レンタカーは必須で　かつ　40分以上はかかるので、ハワイ＝ワイキキの方にはお勧めしません。

我が家は２歳の息子がいたため、乗り継ぎで離島という選択肢は最初からありませんでした。ワイキキは好きですが、若干食傷気味でもあったので思い切ってコオリナに滞在しました。まず素晴らしい点は日本人に滅多に遭遇しません。日本語を微かに聞くのも日に１度あるか、ないかです。当方英語は全くのデタラメですが、何とかなってます。次にプールの充実度が素晴らしい。子供連れにはありがたい家族用のプールで午前中はしっかり遊べます。ビーチも徒歩であっという間。砂も細かくて真っ白、波は穏やかで深くもなく言うことなしです。最後に周辺施設がまた、いいんです。残念ながらレンタカーがないと魅力はゼロに近いですが、マーケットプレイスのABCストアを始め、H1で１０分程度も走って出口1−Aか1-Bで降りればカポレイの町に。ここなら出 […] 来たばっかりの超キレーなウォルマートを始め、ショッピングセンターにもSAFEWAYがあります。TARGETのあるコモンズも同じ道沿いです。車さえあれば便利で静かで快適なバカンスが過ごせると思いますよ。 Read more
