In all, with the price I paid, I was quite satisfied. The hotel room was clean and service was good. You got to try their self-made waffles. I was totally sold with that. Their breakfast offer was the best among the same type of hotels that I had been.

we did not arrive to the hotel until late, All I wanted to do was get to the room. The person at the reception desk was being monopolized by a woman who thought the world should rotate around her. I waited over 15 mins just to check in, not good! When I finally got to the room it was clean and the beds were comfortable. My stay was satisfactory and met my needs overnight. My one concern was that I turned on fan, very low, and awoke two hours later to a migraine. Despite anything I tried to relieve it (hot bath, hydration, headache medication) it didn't help. Thirty minutes after leaving room headache was absolutely gone. I highly suspect this sudden and intense headache […] was brought on by the ventilation system. My daughter and I drove to SoCal for a few family events and to check out SDSU. We checked in fast and headed out the door. I wish we had taken a moment to look around the room because I would have asked to switch. The beds were comfy and the room in general was clean and comfortable. The issue was primarily the bathroom. The shower was on a steady […] drip of hot water which pararently had been going on for a really long time because the drain was literally rotting away. There was no fan or window in there so the air was stagnant and smelled like amonia. The stripping around the tub was molding and coming away and the floor seemed warped. But it really was the nasty smell that made it uncomfortable to use. That air in the room was muggy so I went to open the window and found that it was sealed shut. I hate not getting fresh air. Anyway, I walked over to the wall thermostat to turn it on the air and to my amazment it was FAKE! Yes folks, you read it correctly. I walked back over to the window where the airconditioner was and turned the dial. That seemed to cool the room down but all night it would click on and off and woke us both up. I did let the front desk know and they simply said "thanks for telling us". Nice. Later that night I called down to the lobby and asked them to call a cab for us. No problem I was told. 15 minutes later we came down to the lobby and noticed the cab had not yet arrived so we took a seat to wait. At that moment I over heard the cleark calling for our cab. 20 minutes AFTER I had asked them to. Not such great customer service. The area is slim pickings on decent hotels so this is probably the best in the general area but I'd be willing to drive farther out to stay at a better hotel. Read more

Good value for the price. Please put Regular Coffee in the room, not just Decaf.

This is good place to stay as they have comfortable and clean rooms. Its near to couple of restaurants and they even provide a discount if you stay at la quinta inn. Breakfast is average.

The hotel was clean, the staff was nice and it was close to where we had to go.

The front desk called twice to check on my room, which initially looked okay, Upon unmaking the bed I discovered a filthy blanket. The shower was so disgusting that it was unusable - I checked out very early in the morning without showering!!!

I have stayed here twice now; I help support the local High-School and their band events. Doesn't make sense to double-back from Orange County the next day. The hotel staff was great and helpful. Room was clean and equipment in reasonable condition. While I did not take a swim, we were just next to the pool. Complementary breakfast with Belgian waffles […] and other finger foods/cereal. 24 hour fitness just up teh street.

We had to change rooms 3 times upon arrival: the 1st had NO TV, and the phone wasn't working. The 2nd one was in a DARK corner (underground kind of), and finally the 3er was great! (Actually the Maintenance supervisor, took over our checking and gave us a great room!). Thank you. Very nice Hotel for the price. Housekeeping always very kind!

Unfortunatly our reservation overbooked the hotel and we ended up getting smoking section room peeeeeeuuuwwww!! The night receptionist Chris was a mean lady wasnt too kind to the other people asking her questions or asking for things. I would stay there again because it was comfortable but ill make sure i reserve with alot of time in advance :)

Tried to check in early, but waited an hour to get a room. Normally, not a big deal. Was told a "smoking" room was available if we wanted to check in early. Since we wanted "non smoking" we decided to wait. The bathroom in the room we ended up with smelled like someone had been smoking. Only there for one night so really not that big of a deal. Comfortable […] bed and decent free breakfast in the morning even though the space they servce breakfast is really small. Would stay there again, but only for the night or 2 at the most. If you're in the area fo San Diego, stay downtown. Worth the extra $$ to stay closer. Read more

We had a very comfortable stay for one night. All we wanted was a hot shower and a comfortable bed for the night. The bed was great! I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow and did not wake up until the next morning. Room was average, but noise from fwy prevented good nite sleep. There are other rooms on opposite side of fwy but we got the last room because we checked in late at night.

Extremely rude employees from the maids to the woman at the front desk, she hung up on me several times when I called. Just terrible service. Pay the extra money and go to the doubletree down the street.

This really was a no thrills hotel/motel. Check-in and check-out was easy, and the rooms were clean. You can tell they really haven't up-dated the accommodations in a while. In my room three was still an old tube-based TV that howled like a banshee 5 minutes after turning it on. Thankfully wifi was available for free. Staff was friendly and the bed was very comfortable. I only needed a place to lay my head for the night and this worked out perfect for that.

This is a very nice hotel, and conveniently located a block off the freeway. A Starbucks, IHOP, 7-11 and gas station are also on the same block, so 24-7 you can get whatever you need whenever you want.

Nice room, spacious, easy access to the freeway and downtown attractions. Had a Starbucks, IHOP and a drive through within the same parking lot. Many gas stations close by.

When looking at the pictures I was kind of like it looks ok. This hotel was clean and well kept up. The surrounding restaurants made it very convient and the staff was nice and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and the hotel was quiet despite a full parking lot. The morning breakfast was good and enjoyed by all three of us. I especially liked the fact that the hotel had such easy access from the freeway. We hope to stay there again in the spring.

The first room we were given faced a busy highway and a large neon sign right outside the window. I inquired whether we could get a quieter room and we were given one right away. Great service. The hotel is older and all the doors face outside. Overall an ok choice for having two dogs with us for free.

Comfort and convenience; what more could you ask for? Being close to the freeway has advantages and disadvantages. I found the location a plus! Much better than previous motel stays I have had in the area!

Hotel is located directly above the freeway, and if you are unlucky enough to get a freeway adjacent room like we did you will be treated to the roar of freeway noise ALL NIGHT LONG. We also managed to get the room that had a giant IHOP and Starbucks neon sign right outside our window (10 feet away). Very noisy rooms, freeway noise. Battered rooms. Broken doors that won't shut in the restroom. Broken locks. A tub that drained very slowly. And no option to change to another room since (according to the rude receptionist) the Hotel was sold out.

The front desk staff at this hotel added to the nightmare of our trip. We had been on a missions trip south of the Mexico border when we were involved in a roll-over accident that sent 8 people to the hospital - 3 critically injured. We needed hotel rooms for 26 high school students. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that hotels.com had overbooked […] by 11 rooms. (I later received correspondence showing it was la Quintas fault!). The staff knew there was a large group of students in the parking lot at 9pm and did not offer them a meeting roo, the lobby, their closed cafeteria, their pool deck or the bathroom - for THREE HOURS - while hotels.com searched for another hotel. This is an average hotel, which I expected. It appeared that the room was remodeled and seemed unfinished. The beds were comfortable. Not sure if it was because we did not book directly with the hotel, but we received a room facing the freeway. This would be annoying if I did not live downtown and am use to traffic noise. The tile and caulking in the shower needs obvious attention. Peeling and gaps are very notable. Room needs a lot of TLC. Not a comfortable stay.
