"Loved the Wild Dunes venue"
Beautiful trees, immaculate grounds, 2 min. To the beach. Was upgraded to 2 bdrm condo at no extra $ to us. Loved it. While expensive, food at the hotel grill was imaginative, beautiful and delicious.Genuine Expedia guest review
My daughters and I came for a short vacation. It was a beautiful resort and our unit was beautifully furnished and comfortable. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the tennis or much walking on beach because of rainy weather. Would come back another time of year. Thank youGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendly service, hospitality and courtesy!"
I was looking for a restful place to stay during a family wedding in Charleston. Wild Dunes was fantastic. I will plan to return during the summer for a golf getaway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Over priced beach condo"
The condo had peeling paint, antiquated furniture, and was have a mile from the water. Not worth the money. Area has great BBQ thoughGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Be sure to have a GPS to find this place. It is tucked in the corner of a very large resort. Once you are there, you can settle in for the long haul. The boardwalk to the beach is nice. The hotel exudes antebellum charm. There is a spa within walking distance where, if you book Annette, you will get the most relaxing massage of your life. The big story […] here is the food. The restaurant is amazing both in service and culinary skill. I recommend the She Crab Soup, the Pumpkin Soup and . . . well, anything on the menu will knock your socks off. They have a very nice selection of wines, too. Complimentary parking and valet is an unexpected perk. You may have to wait on the valet sometimes. The room cost is also a little high. I guess when you factor in the free parking, it's not too bad. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Stay somewhere else!"
They call it a resort and I think that's based on the fact that it is HUGE! And while that might be enticing to some of you, it's also really crowded - not with people, we were there during the off-season, but with buildings. You can see into your neighbors windows no matter what direction you are looking. Our biggest disappointment was it just feels […] like a basic 3 star hotel that we overpaid for our stay. If Isle of Palms is your only destination, this might make sense, but if you have plans to venture out, look for places in North Charleston, Charleston or Mt. Pleasant. Everything you can get at the resort if available elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Best vacation ever!!!!!!!:)"
Me and my wife stayed in the condos at wild dunes on Isle Of The Palms. This place is 1st class everything . The room was huge 2 floors ,2 bedrooms ,3 patios. Perfect oceanview. We visited the sights and plantations of Charleston and this was the perfect hub! The drive back and forth beautiful, and easy. We had breakfast at tthe Sea Grill. 5 STAR!!!! […] When I return which will be very soon no question We'll be staying at Wild Dunes. Thank you to the staff. Because of the unbelievable room, the service , view, and the wonderful food my wife and myself were able to have the most romantic times of our lives!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"My condo unit was too far from the ocean."
The so called ocean view was a minute view through a jungle of trees. I booked this condo expecting to be able to sit on a bench, view the ocean and read a book. There were no accommodations for this. Apparently, they expect us to bring our own lawn chairs. I was locked out of my unit for 45 minutes because the card key would not work. To fix the problem, […] required a major repair of the lock mechanism. The Isle of Palms is too remote and is a rat maize of streets that even a GPS has a hard time negotiating. Next time I will stay in Charleston. If you want the beach go to Florida, their beaches are far superior. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It was a beautiful condo, great location , however you could not get cell phone service you either had to go outside or in the back bedroomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Can't wait to return!"
I was very impressed by the condition, service, and high quality of the room and the resort overall. Granite countertops, large, luxurious bathroom, gorgeous views, and quiet location all contributed to a wonderful stay. You really do get what you pay for here!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Condo right on the beach"
While our condo was right on the beach which was lovely the condo itself was very rundown, very outdated kitchen, standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher, broken clothes dryer, stains on the living room and dining room fabrics, and marks on the walls. The heat pump is just below the bedroom so all night long you hear a constant droning of the […] pump. Very annoying. This unit is Mariners Walk 12B. The Wild Dunes property is very clean, gardens manicured, well maintained. The staff we spoke to were polite and helpful. Riding bikes was enjoyable and we saw turtles sunning themselves at some ponds. The beach is so close it takes only a minute to get to it. There's lots of broken shell pieces so flip flops should be worn. We enjoyed watching people with their dogs, birds, the clouds and early morning sunrises. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Staff was very professional and helpful. Great value for the experience. Bed was a little uncomfortable but understand can't fit for everyone. Would do the trip again without hesitation! Thank everyone at Wild Dunes for the experience!Genuine Expedia guest review

"GIrls trip to Wild Dunes"
We had a lovely stay for a couple of nights at The Boardwalk Inn. Everything was wonderful! Staff could not have been more welcoming down to the sweet notecard placed under our door from the front desk shortly after we checked in. They were wishing us a nice relaxing "girls" trip. I was traveling with my two teenage daughters and my Mother. Close enough […] to Charleston to visit easily, but a nice getaway spot near the water and the resort is beautiful! "Great for families and couples"
I went with 3 girls to Charleston to enjoy a weekend together. We chose to stay at the Wild Dunes Resort because it seemed like a good place to relax after a long day in Downtown Charleston. This is exactly what we got. It was quiet (aside from hearing our neighbors having a romantic moment late at night) and relaxing. A nice break from the hustle and […] bustle. My only issue is there was no complimentary breakfast. For the price I thought there may be free bagels or something in the morning for those who don't want room service. Other than that it's a great place to stay, especially for families and couples. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice rooms, beautiful resort"
The rooms look new, are of big size, and feel comfortable and quiet. The hotel is located within a very nice and beautiful residential area developed by the same company who opens the resort. When we were driving around in the morning, we saw beautiful landscape, trees, lawns, and people playing golf.Genuine Expedia guest review
I enjoyed staying at Wild Dunes. Room was very good to excellent. Very comfortable. The service was terrific. I did have a water leak from the bath in the room above one day. Staff responded quickly and got it fixed and cleaned up. Comped breakfast for the inconvenience when I asked without hesitation. Nice place to walk the beach and surrounding neighborhood. […] Really great food and well stocked bar which was surprisingly reasonable for a resort setting. I'd go back without hesitation. Wish wax were better for my stay. Was good except for the squeeky stairs door outside our room. Had to hear it squeek and baam all night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what we expected"
The room was nice but it could have used a more thorough cleaning. The lobby staff didn't seem to want to help us much. It could have been because we were toting around a 9 mo. old and a 12 yr old. We saw no other children during our 2 day stay. We really didn't fit in there. The hotel is a good ways from the rest of Charleston. We will stay closer […] next time. "Beautiful Resort! Wish we could have stayed longer"
We had a room in the village, very clean, friendly service. Two separate king bed rooms, full kitchen, living area. Took a walk to the beach in the morning, the village is only about 300 yards from the beach. So much fun but we could only stay one night, we'll definitely be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Dated Resort"
I had reserved a condo on the ocean and although the layout was nice, the condo was very dated in need of a painting inside and out, furniture upgrade, bathroom upgrade etc. Could not recommend to others if this is all they have to offer. Shame, I had heard that this was a world class resort!!! Not from my viewpoint???Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Condo on Waterfront"
Beach is beautiful. Condo was not. Bathroom old, grimy, broken toilet seat and moldy. Lightbulbs were out and when asked to replace not done. Couch old and extremely uncomfirtable, awful furnishings dated. View was amazing. Pretty grounds.Genuine Expedia guest review
We arrived at night so we didn't get to see just how nice Wild Dunes really is until the next morning! It's well maintained, easy to get around and everyone is really friendly. Front desk staff was nice, the room beautiful and the setting is awesome.Genuine Expedia guest review
"mid-week/off-season at wild dunes"
Perfect stay, Pre-arrival phone call was a great welcome. I needed a few quiet days by the beach to decompress from Obama-care and this was the right prescription. Very relaxing escape for a few days until the weekend crowds came with the kids. I would return and again stay off season for a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It 's not that my date and […] Is, or rather I do not like kids. We just don't like to see them running around the lobby, mindlessly yelling to each other and riding the elevator. "Great weekend getaway"
We went in the late fall. We got a great deal. The villas are clean and spacious. The weather was just warm enough to go on the beach but not in the water. There were no crowds. The bike trails are great. The tennis is great too.Genuine Expedia guest review
We were pleasantly surprised at check in to be told we were upgraded from a resort view condo to an ocean front condo. However, the ocean front condo had a Queen size bed and we had reserved a king, had two large cockroaches on the floor in the bathroom when we entered the condo, and was generally not that well maintained (the living room couch was […] old and sagging, was very uncomfortable, the bed mattresses were old and uncomfortable as was the bedding itself). "Lovely condo, excellent stay"
Spent 3 nights for birthday getaway on one bedroom condo in Port O Call complex, out near tip of island. Lovely location, perfect for a romantic getaway for two, room very clean except for alarming discovery of a dead bird on bedroom floor which must have gotten in after last visitor. A little freaky but really no reflection on resort! Covered porch […] was lovely, ensuite laundry facilities a big plus, fully equipped kitchen made everything great. Comfy king bed and good bathroom. Beautiful sitting out on our private porch! Wild Dunes staff very helpful, really appreciated pre visit call from Sue the concierge especially. We were arriving late from work and she told us where we could pick up essentials late in the evening before crossing to the island (there's not much open late on IOP). To sum it up, it was a terrific first trip to IOP and we'll definitely come back to Wild Dunes! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We had a wonderful time. The Condo was just everything I had hoped for. We had no need of anything. It was all right there at our finger tips. The view of the ocean was just breathe taking. There was a very relaxing atmosphere surrounding us. Just what I was hoping for. The walks on the beach was the highlight of my stay, because I didn't have to think […] about anything except picking up seashells. wonderful place to unwind and relax. We did'nt want to leave our unit to go out, wonderful back porch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
After the battery in the door key pad went dead it took them over an hour to get us in the room. Besides the big inconvenience what if there was a medical emergency inside the room? No staff had a master key or access to the room without maintenance getting involved with their drill. We asked for a manager to follow up with us twice and were ignored. "Should have gotten a rental car"
Great place, but it's over 2 miles long so a rental car would have helped us. The do offer a resort shuttle but that is only inside the resort so if you want to leave you'll need a taxi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great hotel in a beautiful setting"
We booked this hotel for the golf, but we could have stayed in our apartment the whole time. It was nicer than our house! Dinner was terrific in the Sea Island Grill. The golf course is also really great, and it was too cool to enjoy the pool or the beach, but we would definitely come back to Wild Dunes.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We enjoyed our stay very much and would not hestitate to return. We spent 2 nights in the Summer Home building......great view of the ocean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Access to the beach was quite limited. It was about a 1/4 mile walk from the condo. We went to a common area once and had to park across the street from the facility and walk about 200 or 300 yards to the beach. We only went once. The floors in the condo were filthy. Definitely NOT worth the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
This resort met every need we required of them and then some. They answered all our questions and had recommendations for things to do off the island and where the best places to visit. We stayed in a condo and the room was nice, may need to be updated soon, but it was in fantastic condition. It was such a close walk to the beach (2 minutes tops)!Genuine Expedia guest review
