A nice, quiet, romantic getaway. However, the furniture in our executive suite was stained and the carpet had a huge tear in it. The pool is excellent and Guy, the bartender was outstanding! The Medici Cafe was a failure, slow, slow service and cold food, pass on this one.

Good deal for a very nice hotel through hotels.com. Beware of resort fee. Room was a bit small, but common space was very luxurious - lobby, courtyard, 'mini-town.' It is definitely a resort, so some aspects of the environment are artificial, but definitely very comfortable and has terrific views.

Staff was extremely friendly and made the rest bearable. The room was moderately clean. The carpet was stained. The beds seemed small and were very hard. We checked in late and was told the bar was still serving food. They were not. We had to go off property to taco bell for food. There was very little hot water in my shower the morning. There was nowhere […] to eat breakfast in the morning either. We tried to go to Harry's at the casino attached and they were extremely rude and told us they were closed for an hour. Charming mid sized luxury hotel situated 25 minutes from the strip in the secluded golf community of Lake Las Vegas. Although we had an easy check-in, even though the hotel was nearly empty, once again the front desk would simply not accommodate my request for a room with a Lake View. Room we got was still very spacious, the decor was bright, classic […] and European in feel, and ours also had a half balcony overlooking the village. Lots of charm remains from the days back when this was originally built as a Ritz Carlton. Has friendly staff and is rather well maintained. Excellent Spa (pricey, but still in line with other Vegas resort spa costs). They now offer a shuttle to the Vegas strip, and the mandatory additional resort fees here (about $25 per day) include free wifi, local and toll free calls, early morning coffee/tea service, USA today.Food here is OK but there are many other alternate options available just 8 minutes drive away in teh main commercial district of the Henderson neighborhood just off Sunset Road. A solid 4 star experience for those that have a car and prefer the peace and calmness of stayng on the edge of the mountains, just 25 minutes from the Vegas strip. Read more

This is my 2nd time staying at Ravella. It's a great hotel, very peaceful even if your not exactly facing the lake view. I had the garden view which is very lovely. The first time which was in October of last year was a wonderful experience. It was neat,clean, organized. That's the way it should be. But this time that I stayed for the 2nd time meaning […] now on January of 2013, it was neat, but I feel the cleanliness wasn't there all the way. Referring to the beds. I fixed a sheet and I smelled a lot of dust. The beds weren't as comfy to sleep in as last time. I don't know if the same attention is given for those who stay from the 4th floor to the 7th floor. A very beautiful hotel situated on a wonderfully large man made lake, located about 30 minutes outside of Las Vegas. A nice quiet place not surrounded by drunk partiers everywhere. The hotel is very nicely appointed inside and out. The bathrooms are quite spacious and include a nice long and deep soaking tub, that even my 6'4" frame could relax in.

This was a Beautiful Hotel with a wonderful grounds, that would have been a 5 star stay if not for the less than stellar breakfast the next morning. The receptionist put us in a "nicer view" room, but we had to walk and walk to find it. Parking garage was level 4, but the door in to the hotel deposited you on floor 3. Confusing. Our room number was 2524, yet this room was not on floor 2, but on floor 5. The map we were given was very confusing and difficult to read even with reading glasses on. […] The "beige on beige" signs for rooms/floors etc were difficult to read. There were no signs at all for the special wing "Pontevecchio" that we were in. We finally figured out that the 2 in our room 2524 probably meant building 2 and that the room number was actually 524. The Ravella is 20 minutes off the "Strip" but well worth the short drive. This was our second stay this year and we will return. The hotel lives up to its European design, reminding us of our stay in Paris. The entire staff was friendly and eager to make our stay comfortable, especially the valet parking. It was nice to get away without having to go too far from home (we live in Vegas). The lake is beautiful and there was plenty to do. The hotel staff were very helpful despite a few mishaps during the stay. Our breakfast got delivered to our room more quickly than was promised (30 minutes--but they said it would be 45-60), but was almost completely cold […] (congealed cheese in an omelet is not good). But when I contacted the front desk, they were very apologetic and removed the charge from our bill instantly. When we were charged four times for our one-time valet charge, the desk clerk made changes without question, as well. So my advice to people considering Ravella is: come and enjoy your stay, but keep an eye on things. Though they may be cutting corners on things, they are quick to fix any issues that emerge, and are very nice people, overall. Read more

One of the Valet Attendants was very rude. Incredible disrespect to a business customer booking 10 rooms for a week. Also, the $25 a night resort fee should be optional or more transparent. The hotel itself is fantastic.

The hotel is beautiful, and the grounds are well kept. The firepit in the courtyard was enjoyable to sit around and just relax. The room was clean and comfortable when we arrived. We absolutely loved our stay at Ravella! We didn't even have to leave the resort for entertainment. We wandered through the village holding hands like newly weds, had a couple of drinks in the pub, watched Hamlet in the park, and watched the World Series in the Sports Bar. For the price of the rooms in this hotel, you cannot go wrong. I received a free upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the lake and the facility and room were very neat and clean. The bed was comfy, the property was nice to walk around and the parking was close to the hotel.

The Ravella is a lovely hotel amongst beautiful surroundings with good service. I thought I was surely going to enjoy peace and serenity since the hotel is located miles from the nearest signs of 'city'. Unfortunately, an outdoor bar located near the property played loud music late into the night. I was told by the front desk that they have a city ordinance […] that allows them to play until Midnight but that they would call and ask them to 'turn it down'.. Seems ridiculous given they are located in a hotel and residential area! I found the staff at the hotel to be very pleasant, friendly and helpful. In general the hotel and room appeared maintained and clean. I would stay here again but would ask to be in a room on the opposite side from the bar. Read more

A good overall experience for a relaxing weekend. I was not pleased however with the deceiving tiny not from the Expedia booking page regarding the "resort fee". The booking process is designed to glide through without any mention of the $25 resort fee, until the last minute when you think you have gone through everything. I was charged a $25 "resort […] fee", which gave me free water and access to WIFI... per room. I ended up paying an additional total of $100 for these charges for 2 nights. Our stay was nice. The room was nice and quiet and clean. Getting to your room is a little confusing especially if your over the bridge. Lots of hallways!! Better grounds maps would be appreciated. A continental breakfast would be nice too in a hotel of that size. We would definitely come back.

My family and I stayed at the Ravella for the dragon boat races. Our room on the bridge provided a great view of the finish line and stage area. Sadly, it also provided live music until 10 p.m. both weekend nights. We were disappointed that the staff refused to provide a roll-a-way for our unexpected extra guest.
