"Nothing to rage about!"
Nice hotel however, don't expect anyone from the staff to be waiting outside to take your bags. No one to great you or even to help you as you leave. The beach had a lot of plastic cups sunk to the floor. We kept taking some out and putting them on the sand. Told one of the staff members who said he knows and walked away without picking up the ones […] we had taken out. They did not take out beach lounge chairs for us. You must ask them to do something or they will pretend to be busy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Right on Palm beach, close to Eagle Beach"
Hotel is right on Palm Beach and just a couple of miles away from Eagle Beach on one Side and Boca Catalina on the other. Eagle Beach is much quieter than Palm beach if you want a relaxed day at the beach. Boca Catalina is a must do if you like snorkeling.Genuine Expedia guest review

Overall, a great resort with great amenities and restaurant options. The beach is pristine and offers many conveniences such as your own hut and lounge chairs for enjoying the shade. There are also a variety of watersports easily accessable from the beach. A great time was had by all!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Did Not Measure-up"
Comparing it to the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort in Nassau, Bahamas, one amenity Mariott did not measure up was evening entertainment. One example is the Sheraton played a movie on a projection screen by the pool and the evening entertainment at the Mariott was almost non-existent. Aside from that it was a nice experience but I would be more likely […] to explore other destinations before returning. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

we Arrive At Aruba marriot, and indeed it was a magical place. the room was soo clean and the bathroom is everything!!! A.C in the room was super chill which i loved. our room had a garden view and to be honest i dont know why they call it garden veiw because from the balcony of my room you can honestly see everything!! the ocean, and beautiful pool. […] absolutely stunnig view. The beach very close to the hotel. When the lady at the front desk asked us the reason for our visit and we informed her it was our birthday, after we checked in and got to our room there was a delicious cake waiting for is in our room (that was soo coool)!! Everyone was soo helpful and friendly. We had our birthday dinner at simply fish which is right on the beach with and excellent view of the ocean, after dinner the whole staff at the restuarant suprised is with another cute birthday cake, and sang "happy birthday" .... that was the best moment of my entire trip!! "Great adult pool but rooms could be more romantic"
Overall, it was an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. However, if planning a honeymoon, I would recommend you book a more romantic, intimate hotel. Although the adult pool is quite exclusive, the overall hotel experience is a bit run-of-the-mill. My fiance and I were a bit disappointed with the room. […] Although it had a partial ocean view, there was an irritating noise coming from what appeared to be a huge A/C system. When we mentioned it to the hotel staff, they acted as if it were the first time hearing about this issue. Also, the rooms are very standard; the bed is average at best (pillows are too soft) and the bathroom could use a jet tub. They were also very skimpy with providing towels and we had to ask each day for extra towels. The pluses are Ruth's Chris and La Vista (restaurants) right on the grounds and the gorgeous beach with ample huts but make sure to book your hut early! They are impossible to get mid day and especially on the weekend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Staff handled our concerns immediately, was very helpful. Great hotel (best of the 3 Marriott's on Palm Beach) and best on the strip - not in the very crowded high-res hotel areas.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Enjoyable Stay, but Nothing too Fancy"
My family enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Stellaris Hotel. The beach area is clean and far enough away from the piers that are closer to the Radisson Hotel area. This hotel is a good walk from the Mall area where the shopping and restaurants are located, but its probably best to take a cab ($6 one way from Mon-Sat and $9 on Sun). The beach area is […] clean and not too congested compared to the other hotels. The pool area is not as nice as the Radisson (which we visited and also considered). However, the lobby area is much better thank the neighboring hotels. There are two restaurants on the property and a deli area. La Vista serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and also offer buffets, which costs $25 a person (a la carte is also available). We had dinner one night at Simple Fish, which is on the beach...great ambiance, but dinners are expensive. In fact, dinner is expensive everywhere on Aruba. Expect to pay a minimum of $50 per couple (without tip). Overall, we had a great time here. The staff were all very, very friendly and accommodating, but may be slow at times (I believe that service is just a tab bit slower on the islands, in general). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
My boyfriend and I are in our upper 20s living in NY. We've been to fancier and hotels in NY and Atlantic City. The room was alright and decent for a few days. The facility was average size and the age crowd was a little older than we've expected. Not a big selection of food available at the hotel - plus, it was pricey. My boyfriend bought a local beer […] (Balashi) in which they poured out from a can priced at $8. The pool was pretty small and there's iguanas walking around everywhere. "Nice resort hotel with in-house casino"
This resort hotel is large and in a row with a block of Marriott time shares and vacation club apartments. It was well maintained and clean. The staff were helpful, some more so than others. However be aware that the staff push their own restaurants and facilities and only mention off complex places when directly asked. The adult pool was nice and quiet […] but spaces fill up fast and the family pool has a swim up bar and waterfall and a lot more space for the loungers. The beach huts are booked up fast (booking starts at 7AM) so be prepared to get up early to reserve one. The resort is beach front on a beautiful white sand beach with a roped off swimming area. You can rent floats and beach equipments, towels and loungers are provided by the hotel. The La Vista restaurant does a fantastic lobster and seafood buffet on a Saturday evening but then every night is the seafood buffet. The Simply Fish restaurant on the beach is a little expensive but well worth it for the service, the beautiful view and the experience. I would recommend not doing the all inclusive but investigating some of the local restaurants on the island. Ruths Chris is also part of this complex and there is a store and 24 hour cafe in the lobby. The Casino is in the hotel. It is noisy and smokey and they seem to have regular bingo nights which seemed strange but is poplular with the locals. It does not influence the rest of the hotel. "Good hotel, right on the beach"
Hotel delivered as promised. Right on the beach, two great pools and a very friendly staff. Went during the end of May and the hotel was not crowded at all. While there was lots to do, my intent was to just lay by the pool and beach and relax. Which would bring up my only complaint about the hotel. After two days there, I was informed that you needed […] a reservation for the beach huts. This was never mentioned upon check in or when I previously went down to the beach to use the huts. On this day, I was told the hut I was using was reserved, when I asked to reserve a hut for myself I was told none where available that day. A few others were told this as well. Spending the day at the beach there were at least a dozen huts not used. I have no issues with needing to reserve the huts but it seems like the reservation system they are using isn't the accurate. Also it would be helpful to notify guests of this policy upon check-in. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay. If you love fish - check out the grouper sandwich at Waves restaurant - so good that I had it 3 days in a row! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"THE MARRIOTT STELLARIS HAS THE BEST BEACH ON THE I"
MOST ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY STAFF I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was our first trip to Aruba and I loved it. The island is beautiful the weather, the water nothing can compare. I am a very fussy person in regards to a clean room and I have to say the Marriott met all my needs. The Marriott was beautiful, our room was very clean it had a balcony and you could sit outside. We were on the 7th floor facing the ocean […] and the sunsets were just beautiful. We ate Simply Fish on the beach I thought the food service and atmosphere were excellent. In the weeks time we ate at many of the Marriott resturants and especially liked the buffets at La Vista. Everything was wonderful I would not of changed a thing. We do hope to go back again and I would stay at the Marriott. Oh and after walking the beach every day I have to say their beach area is one of the best, not rocky or anything. The water was awesome. All in all I loved my trip to Aruba and very happy with my choice of Marriott Stellaris. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very nice hotel"
We had a partial ocean view room with 2 queen beds. It was plenty large enough for 2 adults and 2 college aged kids. Beds were comfortable. Hotel grounds were well manicured. The beach was not what I would consider crowded, and we never had a problem getting 4 chairs. We did not opt for the use of a palapa, so I can't speak for what it was like trying […] to reserve one. Various water sports opportunities are within walking distance on the beach. The water in front of the hotel is very clear and not rough at all. We took a snorkeling excursion that included 3 stops and lunch. The first stop was a bit out from the shore and the current was relatively strong, but the last 2 were nearer to shore and the current was not as strong (didn't feel the need to wear a life jacket on the last two). This hotel is located on the far end of the high rise hotel area and is about $25 taxi ride from the airport. It cost about $11 to go downtown. Paseo Herencia is a nice little shopping/dining area within walking distance, but anything else and you'll need a taxi, rental or bus. It's probably 1/2 mile or so, so that may be too far for some people to walk. You might consider renting a car for one day to see some sights, as well as to make a run to the grocery store. Eating is quite expensive on the island. Buying some snacks or dry breakfast items at the store could shave quite a bit off your expenses. Really enjoyed our trip. Take lots of sunblock! "Nice Hotel on the beach"
We just got back from our stay here and it was a nice hotel right on the ocean. The room was large and spacious as was the bathroom and the elevators were fast. Main pool is nice but gets crowded and loud in the afternoon. The adult pool was peaceful all day every day and if you wanted to sit in a hut so you have shade you can, but they are all reserved […] permanently so to speak (which is not explained up front so when we saw one with no reserved sign and sat there we were shocked to be charged for it at the end of the day with no warning) and if you sit there it's $75 with a $50 credit for food/beverage. We also got chairs with an umbrella one day and that was ok too with no charge. The wait service at the pool/beach is almost non existent. If you want something just go to the bar your self. The palapas at the beach were great and we were able to get a free one for the following day by just going to the towel hut. There are a bunch of options for food at the hotel and the neighboring hotels but they are expensive. We were in Aruba 6 years ago and could easily get lunch for $15/for 2 and dinner for around $45-50/for 2. This time around two personal pizzas a soda and a beer was $45 for lunch. It was nearly impossible to get anything for lunch for less than $40-45 which is frustrating. $6 for a bottle of water is excessive and yes, you can drink the water in Aruba if you choose but being pregnant I didn't want to take any chances plus it's not very cold from the tap Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Incredible hotel. By far the best place to stay."
Best place to stay besides the ritz. Very clean incredible pool. The drink prices are a bit crazy but what are you going to do. My advice is to go into town and get a couple bottles if what ever your drinking. You have a mini fridge and get a big coozy. That way you will save hundreds of dollars. You can drink right on the beach there. Also while gambling […] you get free drinks. There are a couple of very nice super cheap but great food and drink places on the beach and out on one of the piers that go into the water. Great people and amazing food. Rent a jeep and drive the island very easy to do and super fun. We woke up and went to the other side of the island to watch the sun rise. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

First time to aruba....was not a bad experience, but an average trip...nothing really impressed me about the hotel....just seemed overpriced for what the average traveler would pay in the US for a Marriott hotel room. I did the Tradewinds option which is what Marriott calls their 'hotel within a hotel'....they boast that you get special attention since […] you have access to the lounge which serves you free breakfast, free light dinner (more like a bunch of appetizers), and free drinks, which you make yourself. Not much was special other than you get this free with your room. If you don't like paying additional money for breakfast..., then I think this a good option, other than that...If I had to go back, I would choose the Ritz Carlton, which is next door. I don't mind paying more for great service...but the Tradewinds option was not great...it was average....Also, if you like the beach...then be ready for a crowded one....people seem to compete for those palapas... Supposedly, when you do the Tradewinds option, you get your own private area on the beach....no kids are allowed....beaches in Aruba are not private property... They are not owned by the hotels....so, not really sure why that's advertised. There was an enclosed pool area for Tradewinds guests....didn't see any kids there or on the hotels floors for Tradewinds....Overall....I didn't feel I got what I paid for....(or at least what was advertised). Go to RC which is better service and less crowded beach if u can afford Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Overprice and overrated"
This is one of our many caribbean trips - sad to say that this is one of the worse resort we have ever stayed in. I always expect great services from Marriott, particularly their destination resorts - but Marriott Stellaris is a huge disappointment. 1. No one was available to assist you in getting your beach chairs set up on the beach - every morning […] is a struggle to find a crew to get us chairs. They would just throw the chair at a spot for you, no help in getting you a table or getting you set up for the day. Honestly its more like they are doing you a favor than a hotel amenity. 2. Having pay what we paid, you would expect there's at least a bottle of complimentary water in your room. Instead we have to pay $5 at the lobby for water every night 3. Hotel lobby is disorganized, no taxi line, bell is never available to help 4. Overall customer service is poor from all the staff members - no smile, unpleasant, never offer to help 5. We literally felt like we stayed at a 3 star beach hotel when we spent $3700 for this week trip! When you walk right next door to Ritz Carlton, which is not that much more price wise, you will notice the world of a difference. Unfortunately that was sold out at the time we made our reservation. Hotel was extremely well maintained and staff was excellent! Room were incredibly clean and comfortable with great views. We were there during Easter and there were a ton of kids, we never once had to worry about our own children being bored. There was always someone for them to meet. However, It would have been bothersome if I was there only with my […] husband. The only complaint was that there are not enough pool chairs to accommodate guests. If you wanted a chair (especially one under an umbrella) you needed to get outside no later than 5:30 am. This is a common problem at resorts so it didn't come at such a surprise. Palapas need to be reserved 2 days in advance if you want to pay for one or you can begin waiting on line at 4:00 am for a free palapa. Many of them that are reserved do not get used through out the day, which is annoying. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This was an absolutely fantastic hotel. The room was tdf (to die for). It was very, very spacious, had a nice sized balcony with a fantastic view of the adult pool and the sea. It was wonderful to wake up and see the beautiful coral colored water. Every day was a sunny beach day. The staff was more than willing to please. There's a reason they call […] it "One Happy Island." We would go back in a heartbeat. La Vista restaurant had a wonderful breakfast and I enjoyed the dinner buffet as well. "Fine hotel; disappointing beach & pool facilities"
Nice hotel--but really disappointing access to shade at beach or pool. There are maybe 35 or 40 thatched palapas that provide much-needed occasional shade. A handful of these are available on a first-come, first-served basis--but folks queued up for these an hour or more before they were available. Who wants to come to a high-priced hotel and then stand […] in the sun for an hour each day just to get a shaded deck chair? A few others are available to rent for $25 per day--but these sell out way in advance as well. Hotel personnel explained that this is due to limitations on what they're permitted to put on the beach. Seems to me that if that's the case, they built too big a facility on too small a beach. Disappointing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not the Marriott quality we're used to"
After spending a ludicrous amount of money to stay at this hotel, it was less than sub par. We've stayed at multiple Marriotts before for less and gotten much more! First, the beds are not comfortable and the pillows were horrible. On night two we called for different pillows which were brought up by a staff member, wanting to tip her I asked if she […] had changed for a $10 bill and received a response of "No". The new pillows were an improvement but still sucked. Second, nothing (NOTHING) is complimentary! Welcome cocktail, NOPE! Wifi, NOPE! Coffee in the morning, NOPE! Morning coffee is pretty standard at any hotel/motel, but not here. Cocktail prices are outrageous poolside and are pretty much served in a Dixie cup. And the bartenders don't seem to really appreciate your business. We ventured off property down the beach and were taken care of by friendlier staff from other hotels. They even remembered us in the following days. Marriott staff seemed to care less who you are and that you spent a lot of money there. And lastly, they screwed up two of our reservations (one of which was a once a week dinner show, and was sold out so we couldn't go). There was no compensation and not even an apology. We won't be returning. The one positive was Ruth Chris steakhouse and staff there were wonderful. When checking out we expressed our displeasure and the response was pretty much "oh well" Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
