I was prepared to pay for wireless internet, but assumed the charge of $9.95 was for the room (which is typical for the other hotels we stayed at). Other hotels charged per room (allowing up to 3 or 4 devices) or provided free wireless internet. Location of hotel was great. A 5 minute walk through a small park to the T station was easy. But as a woman, I would be afraid to walk through the park when it's dark. Buffet breakfast was excellent. They said they will look for it and bring it to our room. We heard nothing from them the whole night. Next morning, my friend went to the front desk, they knew nothing about the umbrella. They started searching and could not find it. Disappeared and taken by an employee at the hotel. They offered her some old ones that were in lost and found. She asked for the manager and the manager did a nice thing and offered to reimburse for a new one. We were leaving that day so my friend will purchase one where she lives and send the receipt to the manager. This is a great place to stay. We needed an airport hotel for a flight the next morning and picked this one because it had the most reasonable rates. We were extraordinarly pleased. "Are you kidding me?"
Staff was rediculous! Checked in and at that time asked questions about area. Was told talk to concergie. Went to do that and noone there. Was told they were on 30 minute break. Went yo return our rental car in meantime and when got back still no one to talk to. Next morning I was told the concergie was off for two days and wouldn't return until the […] day we were checking out. Bought trolley tour through the front desk and as was buying it the trolley tour guide showed up at hotel to pick people up and front desk employee kept taking calls while waiting on me causing the whole trolley to have to wait. I checked in using a walker and was given a room two entire hallways from the elevator. The hallway air conditioning was nit working and dishes were left in hallways for more than twelve hours without being picked up by staff (during the daytime when cleaning people were about). There was a breakfast buffet which was the worst feeding frenzy I have ever seen and I have stayed in many hotels with self serve breakfast. Hidden charges were crazy! I knew there was additional charge for internet but when I inquired I was told this charge was per device. Since I was traveling with a family of four this was crazy. In addition the parking fee was much higher than we paid at hotel in Midtown Manhatten which was not advertised on expedia at all. Everything about this hotel is excellent except for one thing: it is hard to find. When we arrived late at night, using our GPS to guide us, we absolutely could not reach the front entrance. The staff was excellent. Breakfast was as expected. The suite we were in seemed old and crampy. We had a family of 4 in a double bed suite. It took us 5 mins to walk through a park to get to the T station, but looking back i would have paid a little more to stay in downtown Boston by the wharf.
