"nice view of the river"
Great place to stay the night on roadtrip. Hotel isolated as there is not many businesses in the general area, but beautiful frontage on the Mississippi River, Hotel was spacious and clean, furniture a little worn (armchair in our room torn at seams), hotel personnel very helpful and nice. We had dinner in restaurant, food was good, not many people. […] Food was good quality, a little bland, but overall very nice dinner. Kids in hotel seemed to enjoy the indoor pool. Breakfast the next day was swamped as it was Saturday morning, one lonely waitress who was superwoman, doing everything from restocking the waffle machine, to clearing tables, seating people, taking their breakfast tickets, even going into the adjacent lobby area with spillover diners where she promptly donned latex gloves and mopped up a spilled juice. She was phenomenal left her large tip! Food by the way was excellent. Waffles, biscuits & gravy, grits, sausage, eggs, yogurts, cold cereals and pastries. No wonder it was a madhouse that morning. Would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay here again"
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and both nights we were able to sleep without a lot of noise in the halls or outside noise. That was a very nice surprise. We did have an ant problem the first morning we were there, but got moved to another room and things were good. Very nice staff, wonderful breakfast. You must give it a try!Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff was friendly and helpful. Full breakfast was good, real eggs, hot biscuits, etc. Rooms were clean but terribly worn carpets. Enjoyed the beautiful river view, river walk, and large patio behind the lobby. Would visit again and hope it will be refurbished soon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not the best neighborhood"
Good view of river, not such a good neighborhood. Sheets were dirty and air conditioning was very loud! Bathrooms were sub par.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very happy with this hotel!"
Very happy with this hotel and our stay at Vidalia Comfort Suites. Way above average breakfast, great room with view. We were very comfortable and will definitely choose this hotel when returning to the Natchez area.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was great. I would just like the front desk assistant to be little more friendlier, but I loved the hotel & really enjoyed my stay. Will definitely stay there again. And the breakfast was GREAT!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable at Comfort Suites!"
Just ret'd from a 7 night stay @this comfortable motel located right on the Mississippi River. DH and I wished to see the antebellum homes of Natchez,MS but prefer a modern hotel to a bed & breakfast. The location right across the river from Natchez was perfect . Traffic is light and crossing the river actually added to our pleasure in the locale. A […] very nice walk along the river begins right in back of the motel. The park included, picnic tables,a fountain for kids to play in & several porch type swings facing the river. It was well lighted & felt 100% safe there. There are several restaurants in Vidalia -all require a car. I liked the catfish, scallops, & lemon icebox pie at the Sandbar as well as several items from Uptown grocery in Natchez. The complimentary hot CS breakfast included eggs, grits, biscuits & gravy, bacon or sausage, bagels, cereal, danish, fruit, yogurt, and make your own waffles. Things were replenished even after the official end time which was a very nice change when so many motels let things run out within posted dining times. We also ate @the on site restaurant one evening and the food was fine. We kept a few extras in the rm fridge to give more variety to breakfast . While on vacation why not go all out and add pecans, whippped cream or choc chips to those waffles?!!Housekeepers were very polite as was every employee we met @ front desk, cafe, and even IT.Both the bed & linens & shower were above average. Better light for reading in bed would be nice. Thanks CS! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Lovely hotel in which to relax."
We booked this hotel having read other people's positive reviews and it didn't disappoint. When we arrived we were assigned a room at the front of the hotel but asked if we could change it to a river view one. Not a problem! We could have spent all day watching the river traffic. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. We had a meal in the restaurant […] on our first night which, while not brilliant, was perfectly acceptable. The best part of our stay was sitting on the patio next to the river. Sadly it loses the sun quite early. The only downside to staying here is that there is nowhere to walk to except along the river pathway. You can only reach Natchez by driving as it is on the other side of the river with no pedestrian access over the bridge. Having said that, it was about a 3 minute drive, with plenty of free parking in the town. Apart from the antebellum houses there isn't much to see in the town, but about 30 minutes out of town is the Frogmore Cotton Plantation, well worth a visit. We were there over 2 hours learning about how cotton was produced during slave time and how it is now carried out. Just a note - there are no refreshments available at any of these places. I can't help but feel they are missing a trick here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Need a lot of improvements !"
Ideally located, this hotel need a change of management. The room was not well cleaned : dirty carpet, old linens and even dirty socks were found in the rollaway bed... Only one person taking care of the breakfast and being clearly overwhelmed ! We had to wait 20 minutes to receive waffles...Genuine Expedia guest review

Everything that other reviewers said was true. From the front desk clerk, room 238 view, riverfront walk and breakfast to the view at night made my mom's 70 birthday one of the best.We had a very relaxing stay. There was a Hog Rally but everything was quiet and never heard the motorcycles from our room.I highly recommend this hotel

We traveled to Vidalia on Labor day weekend to start a trip up the Natchez Trace. We we arrived the lobby area was very inviting, and our room was facing the river. The high ceiling in the hallway on the 3rd floor was cool and our king suite, spacious and clean with a super view above the river. The restaurant was closed for Labor day so we were not able to try it. We did go to the pool , this was probably our only drawback. The pool water was a bit cloudy and COLD, but not to bad to use, but the Hot Tub was a different matter..... it looked almost moldy.. maybe it was just bad paint , I don't know , but it wasn't to inviting. All In All, I would stay here again, it is a really nice place and a beautiful view at a good price.
This is a beautiful hotel on the river. It was a relaxing stay. The hotel was nice but could use some overdue maintenance in the bathrooms as well as a coat of paint instead of touch-ups. In spite of these minor issues I would stay here again because it was relaxing and the staff was very friendly.

This was a repeat visit to this hotel, we love it! We had a riverfront room right on the Mississippi River. There is a riverwalk which is nice after dinner or early in the morning. Great patio too. Nice room, great breakfast with real eggs, not powdered and real silverware and dishes. Handy to Natchez which is a short ride over the bridge. We will be back for a third visit.

I was amazed by the way this hotel looked as I walked in. It has a 4 star feel. Nice beautiful lobby, halls are very nice and clean, very high ceilings. And then I walked into the room...I was wowed at the amount of space my two queen bed, pull out sofa was. Nicest room Ive seen in a while. I decided to let my parents have the bed and I take the pull out couch. As I walked to the couch the first thing I noticed was a VERY worn chair. It had all sorts of tears in it. So Im thinking, "ok things happen". I then made the move to the couch, the first thing I noticed was food on the wall that the couch was against. We called and asked them to come clean it, (even though it was a small area, I was still digiated at the fact that my head would be lying below this) the lady came to clean it and didnt complain although I dont think she was happy that she had to come clean such a tiny spot. After driving in a car for 11 hrs from Texas through a very bad storm, I wanted to take a shower. Now maybe I watch too much tv and im just picky, but I went to put my hand on the rail in the shower and there was nasty build up around the ends of the rail. Loiked like nobody had even touched it in.months. we were given the option to change rooms but After our long stressful trip, we didnt feel like packing up all of our stuff to move. We just decided to weather out another storm and deal with it. Other than that, the beds sleep very well, it has a very beautiful view and the staff was very friendly. I just encourage the manager to keep a better eye on the rooms and make sure they are being cleaned properly and maybe replace the worn out furniture in the rooms.

We stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony overlooking the Mississippi. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. There was a love seat plus two club chairs and a very comfortable king bed. I liked it much more than the home we stayed in Natchez and it is just directly across the bridge. They even let us check in early so we wouldn't miss the USA World Cup game. Great find!
"Love, Love this hotel and location"
06/30/14 Retired-fun-travelin Jackson, TN
We planned on visiting Natchez, MS on our way home from TX so booked the Comfort Suites hotel in advance when we found out it was just across the bridge from Natchez. We felt the AAA rate was very good for a one room suite over looking the Mississippi River and bridge. The complete suite was very neat and clean. We loved sitting on the sofa and watching all the barges go by and see the bridge in the evening with its lights on. No need to watch television when we could watch that. Hotel was very easy to find. Plenty of parking spaces. The included breakfast was the usual, which was fine for us. If we return to Natchez we would only stay here.
"Not A Good Fit For Business Stay"
06/21/14 jimcojim Pearl River, Louisiana
Well let me start by saying my company requires me to stay in Choice Hotels so my choices were another run down property in Natchez MS or this hotel in Vidalia. This is a beautiful looking property on the outside and has a wonderful view of the river. It would probably be great for an inexpensive vacation. When I arrived everything went well staff is friendly. My room was well priced and was well worth the price a bit worn as far as the carpet but generally a great value. The problem came when I tried to use my computer. I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi and the staff offered to help. I brought my laptop down and they couldn't connect but said no one else in the hotel was having any problem so I guess it was my problem. I went down the street to McDonalds and the wi fi there was perfect. Went back to my room and after awhile I noticed a card with the name of the wi fi company and an 800 number. I called them and after about a 20 minute wait and another 10 minutes on the phone they gave me a reference number and said they would call me back. They did say there was a problem. After about 30 minutes the wi fi started working and they did call me back to see if it was working. After that the wi fi worked but was slow and kept kicking me out of my e-mail even though the signal seemed strong. When I make my reservation at the Choice 800 number and tell them I am here on business the first thing they tell me is about the free wi fi. Most of the Choice Hotels have mediocre to poor Wi-Fi service. Let me give you a hint I don't ever stay in hotels I know to have poor Wi-Fi service. I need this to conduct my business while out of town. There is a Comfort Inn in West Monroe that uses a company called Hot Air I believe. They have fantastic Wi Fi service. Take the hint improve your service.
"No "late" food."
06/11/14 Zukiguy Columbus, OH
The hotel is very nice and clean. Great view, right on the river. Breakfast was the standard fare but it was what I expected and seemed fresh. My only negative is that when I arrived, 9:30 pm, and asked about somewhere to eat, I was told that most everything closes at 9:00. I guess the attached restaurant is only open from 4:00 to 9:00. The desk clerk told me that any nicer restaurants were a few miles away and they might be closed. I rode around the area a bit and found a Subway shop nearby. Other than the food situation though, great place to stay.
