Good deal for the money. Very friendly and helpful staff and large rooms - very clean and modern. Away from noises and crowds. I would gladly stay there again.

Usually when I fly into Malpensa, I stay at one of the hotels closer to the airport. This time they were all booked due to a furniture show in Milano, so I ended up staying at the Grand Hotel in Somma Lombardo for a week while doing business at Agusta Westland in Cascina Costa. While not as convenient as the hotels closer to the airport, it was a decent […] hotel and I would not hesitate to stay there again in the future. The hotel is a bit run down and has seen better days, but it was clean and comfortable. Free WiFi is only available in the lobby areas. If you want a WiFi connection in your room, you have to pay for it. The shuttle van to the airport is available by appointment but is only free during the day. If you have an early morning or late night flight, you will have to pay for the shuttle van and make sure to arrange it in advance. The hotel restaurant was decent and reasonably priced. It is not a bad option if you do not feel like going out. If you get the right room and a clear day, you will have a nice view of the Alps out the window of your room. Even numbered rooms between 442 and 452 have a nice view. A good option if you are trying to stay close to the airport. Read more

Close to Malpensa airport for preflight overnight stay. Decent breakfast. In a village-like town near airport without much around it, but hotel has a restaurant for lunch and dinner. Good facilities. Good parking. Was a little difficult to find with GPS (and I wasn't the only car on the road looking for the hotel). Overall satisfied, though.

Nice size facility. Room and bath are both roomy. Breakfast is excellent. The biggest knock is the internet. They only allow you to use 30 min free and then charge for extra minutes. Hotel offers many amenities such as exercise room, laundry facilities and parking garage.

The hotel was in good shape, having recently become a Radisson and been renovated. It is located about 10 minutes from Malpensa Airport which is about 45 minutes outside Milan, actually about 5E and 3 tolls from the city. To get to the city they recommend you park at the airport and take the train. I had a car and drove in, quite the adventure. The […] room was large, the bed comfortable. My wife loved the rain showerhead and the bidet. there was a large desk and chair, as well as another chair with a reading lamp. The closet was large but there was no luggage caddy. The free wireless was 1/2 hour per day with 4E for an hour or 12E for a day pass. You need to save this time on your last day if you want to use the desktop and printer for your boarding passes. Breakfast was good, with hot dishes as well as the normal breads, pastries, and beverages. They have the entire hotel on one system for heating and cooling and stated they were trying to "balance" the whole hotel for comfort. this may have been a code word for saving money on HVAC as the hotel was not very occupied. They recommend opening the windows which is quite the opposite of American hotels. The three problems with this are bugs, the train tracks that ran right behind the hotel and the occasional overflying jet takeoffs. Overall I was quite happy with the hotel. Read more

The hotel staff is very new. Most claim to have only been there since February 2012, and that they are trying to "clean up" the situation from previous management. Location is far from the airport (10km north) and in the middle of nowhere. Only good for a bed "not very far" from Malpensa. Shuttle bus was not working when there, taxi costs 20-25 euro […] one way to airport, so this becomes highly uneconomical very fast. Transfer service was very good, though hard to find on the way to the hotel. Persist in calling for the transfer as the property is about 15 minutes away from the airport and the taxi would be fairly expensive. The breakfast was very good as was the dinner menu. Fantastic hotel. We thought the room was very nicely sized and equipped. Our rate in November 2011 was the best rate we found in all of Italy considering the quality of the room. This was an excellent hotel with wonderful customer service - once we found it. There really should be concrete instructions on how to find it in the listing. This an airport hotel about 10-15 minutes from Milan Malpensa with lager than usual rooms. The rooms are impeccably clean, well-furnished and and well appointed The lobby, bar and public areas are beautiful and well kept. The only negative is the hall carpets in in the hotel itself are filthy and stained which does not seem in keeping with the standards […] exhibited in the rest of the building. Excellent front desk staff and a barman who was a delight with patience beyond belief. The hotel is located in Somma Lombardo at the edge of town so there are no nearby restaurants or convenience stores so one must rely on the hotel restaurant. This was a real disappointment. They are obviously in transition, but the food and its preparation were far below the typical Italian restaurant. We frequently visit our family in Italy and our family operate restaurants in Northern Italy so the disappointment was even greater. The food was served lukewarm and overcooked with no attempt to utilize fresh, local or noncommercial ingredients. Read more

Only 2 problems. The new owners were great and very accomidating, but they were having some problems with some of the rooms A/C and the wake up call system. Was close to airport and provided free shuttle and free breakfast. The heat control didn't work in our room so we were stifling hot. They also didn't want to accept credit card to pay for the dinner we added to our room, so had to use cash, which was limited. Wi-fi worked well in lobby. Breakfast was nice--european style.

Although I informed them of my arrival by mail and called soon after arrival, the Shuttle took more than 30 minutes to arrive. The check-in women was extremely unfriendly and accused me of hiding my key as she claimed she gave it to me. After searching in her chaos she found it but sure no apology. When I entered the room it was hotter than 30 C although […] the window was open, no individual climate control, so no proper sleep possible. When I claimed this at the reception the woman told me that some guests ( I didnt see any as the hotel was deserted) do like it warm and cozy. The hotel claims to have satellite TV, that is true if you speak Italian, all foreign stations had no sound, as they had problems with their satellite dish. And the free WLAN turned out to be a 30 minutes free period and € 12 to be paid for 24 hours, a complete joke, as I stay more than 100 days a year in hotels I have never experienced that free WLAN means 30 minutes free. The rooms are very, very simple but nicely brushed up with Photoshop for this page and others. Needless to say that check-out was chaos again, I had to wait 10 minutes as the rude Italian woman claimed she could not charge my prepaid room to Hotel.com. I told her that is not my problem but she insisted that I wait. If you can avoid this dump, do so. As a Club Carlson member I normally do love the Radisson, Radisson Blue and Park Inn establishments, how they could approve this place as theirs is a total mystery to me. Read more

I had a family room - which was basically two rooms connected, with one room turned into a 'living room'. Almost a suite then, with the sofa becoming a bed, and duplicate bathroom etc. Great value. This is the Park Inn, not the regular Raddison hotel, but it was nonetheless comfortable. Shower only, no bathtub, but spacious, and with good water supply. I […] didn't have a kettle in the room, nor even instant coffee or cups - but presume I could have asked for it. In fact I did: but at 10pm was told it's too late. At least there was free water in the room fridge. Breakfast was OK. Nothing exciting, but enough to start the day, and more variety than the Holiday Inn Express. Internet was free - you need to ask for a username/password from the reception. The WiFi does indicate a charge during login, but this will be waved. Best double check first. Airport is about 15 minutes away. This hotel is further away than some other options, but if you have a car it's OK. There is a free shuttle from the hotel, but runs every 30mins only. There isn't very much within walking distance of the hotel if you feel like popping out for a snack etc. Overall it was great value - for three adults, with WiFi, free breakfast, it was ideal. Where to begin. All the staff members were completely unpleasant. The husband checked us in reluctantly sighing as if it were an effort. His daughter was running around whilst we were doing this. When I told staff I could not log into the wireless connection they asked me why I wanted to use the internet and could not understand why I wanted to use my iphone and not the business centre. We wanted somewhere to stay for the night following a visit to Ferrari Musuem. Arriving early we booked in with no issues, room was ready and available. Maranello was only a short drive away and after a pleasant afternoon there we returned to an enjoyable meal at the hotel. All staff were helpfull and most had a reasonable command of English.

Per il prezzo pagato il soggiorno è stato ottimo. Sono troppo lenti alla reception. Il wifi gratuito c'è solo nella hall e con l'ipad non sono riuscito a collegarmi. Il buffett della colazione è piuttosto essenziale. Le camere sono spaziose e complessivamente tranquillo.

There were some little problems such as the shower not working properly, or the corridor carpet needs clean up, or the organisation of the breakfast, but overall the stay was ok and the room provided was spacious and nice....I will stay again and I recommend this hotel to travellers for business or pleasure.
