This hotel is clean and is in a good location for most attractions. the metro station is a 10 minute walk away and stops at all the major landmarks. the roof terrace has a fantastic view across the city but the food served for dinner is expensive and poor. we were still hungry! Breakfast is also poor with little choice and cold tea and coffee! there were no facilities to make a drink in the room either. Our bed was two single beds pushed together which is not comfortable. I would not stay here again, not worth the money.

Reviewed by Elizabeth of NOVA on Jan 12, 2010
The hotel itself is fine--comfortable and all you would need. However, several other factors made it less than ideal. The location is pretty far out, and there's nothing nearby. You can walk to the metro in about 10 mintues, but be warned that during that walk, you're likely not to see anyone except the (perfectly harmless) homeless woman who sleeps in a doorway along the way. I never felt uncomfortable in this area, as I was with my husband, but I would not have traveled alone in this area after dark. Also, since the hotel is outside the city walls, cabs will cost extra. The other really frustrating thing about this hotel was that there was no "Do not disturb" sign, so you cannot refuse maid service (or sleep in, if you so desired). This would be okay, but on the first day we were there, the maids "cleaned" our bathroom by throwing away all of our personal toiletries, such as the soap we'd brought. (I assume they were simply thrown away; they were gone when we returned to the room.) We tried to explain this to the front desk, and they were either indifferent or uncomprehending (I'm not sure which). Regardless, we ended up replacing our items and hiding them when we left the room. At one point, I forgot and left my toothbrush out (standing up so as not to touch anything), and when I returned, it had been piled with items from elsewhere in the bathroom---successfully contaminating it, so that I could not even brush my teeth that evening. Finally, while we were there the wireless service in the hotel was broken. No explanation or accomodation was made for this, which was quite frustrating, since we made sure to book a hotel with wireless. The hotel itself was fine, and breakfast was also good. But the other issues made this hotel not worth the trouble.

It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, leeting us keep our bags there as we had a late flight and arranging transport. The location was very convenient to the metro and St. Peters was within walking distance. The area was quite but had cafes nearby. it was idyllic to have breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a view of St. Peters.

The hotel is in a reasonable location (half mile from a metro station) and is less expensive than many close to the center of Rome. The rooms are good size, clean and attractive. Breakfast buffet is not bad. There were some maintenance problems; the air conditioner worked in reverse... heat when you wanted cool and visa-versa, and kept tripping the breaker on a panel near the front desk in the middle of the night (a hot room until you went to the front desk in the morning to expalain the problem.... for the um-teenth time). The staff seemed not to believe there was a problem with the AC. Some staff pleasant, some quite unpleasant, unfriendly, and unhelpful. Unfriendly people should not work at the front desk of a hotel. This Hotel is NOT suitable for business travel; no internet is available in the hotel, and none seems available anywhere close to the hotel... closest access we found was about a 30 minute walk away.
