Because we had to get up very early, it was nice to be within blocks of the starting line and not to have to worry about parking. "Great for attending convention center events"
We have stayed at this hotel before. It's nice and close to our event venue. The only real issue we had was with the bathroom. The toilet overflowed and put water all over the bathroom floor. Maintenance fixed it quickly but didn't adequately convey the situation to housekeeping, who was not prepared for the cleanup and had to take extra time to get […] the right equipment. The showerhead is also a problem for me, although it worked fine the adjuster was broken so only one very slow and not very pressurized water came from it. I did report it to the front desk though and they said they would replace it for the next person. The staff is all very nice and helpful. "A night before the races"
Every year for the last 7 years we have went to supercross in St. Louis. Unfortuantly this year was the worst stay ever. I have 3 children ages 10 to 15. Too young to stay in their own room. So when I made my reservation I specifically asked for a roll away. When we got there no rollaway. So I payed for a hotel room for 2 nights and their response was […] that my child could sleep on the floor. With all other hotels sold out because of te race and state wrestling we had no other choice. Check in was awful the guy didnt explain anything. Then I had to ask someone why they charged my account 50 dollars more than te rooms were for because it was not explained that they charge ahead for amenity that you MAY use. Still haven't got my refund. The pool area was dirty and filthy. Hit tub felt like there was slime all over it. And very small area. And no towels available we even called twice. We will continue to go to the races just will never stay here again. Worst stay ever. Would not recommend it to anyone. Oh and then the night of the races didnt get to sleep a wink. There were fist fights in the hallway and beer cans and bottles were being thrown. Scared me with my kids being there and all. And the hotel staff did nothing!!!! The hotel was located next to the convention center and Edward Jones Dome. I was in town for a supercross race and could walk across the street to access all I needed. I took the train from the airport to the 8th and Pine station, walked about 4 blocks and was at the hotel. There is a Starbucks in the lobby - full service. Room service was adequate […] and prompt. People in St Louis are friendly and this hotel staff was more than eager to assist - very nice people here. The gym and pool were very nice - certainly adequate for a quick lift before heading out. I like downtown St Louis. I like to get up and run in the mornings and it's flat, safe and uncrowded - invariably. This hotel is a bit North of the ballpark and arch but still very close. In all, this was a great experience. Oh and there was a movie theatre and sports bar adjascent to the hotel.
