All was nice, exept one quite an important thing - we paid for early check in ( 12pm), but when we arrived at 2 pm, the receptionist asked to wait, the room was not ready. Well that it was not long, but next time I think I won't pay for early check in.

We arrive early because the flight was only 91/2hrs. The room was not ready. In 30 min. the room was cleaned and ready for us. Very happy with the easy, walkable access to the train station and nice mall. However, it is in the ghetto and we felt unsafe walking around after dark. The breakfast is okay except for the horrible scrambled eggs.

We had 3 adults in the same room; dbl bed and sofa sleeper. It was crowded with the sofa bed opened. But if you are looking for a place to sleep only, this is it, with the benefit of breakfast included! Close to shopping and restaurants.

This hotel is usually pretty packed, so it's impossible to change something that very day. We reserved smoking by mistake and hotel wasn't able to switch. Location didn't impress me, tube station is 10 min away on foot, and once you're there everything is a 20-30 min ride. The main thing, this hotel is in the north east of London. The airport taxi ride […] was 110 pounds (black cab) from Heathrow and 65 pounds on the way back. Breakfast is ok, not very tasty though. variety just isn't there. You can get cereal and fruit earlier than 6:30, but I thought one kind of eggs, sausage and toast, cereal, milk and yogurt with the expresso machine is hardly breakfast. Internet access is paid by half hour only at the front desk, is timed as they give you the code, so don't spend too long in the elevator or it will all run out. They have no available adaptors, so buy one at the mall or they'll charge you 7 pounds for the one available for purchase in the vending machine. If you want to print out an e-mail you have to sent it to the hotel's e-mail address. Business center access is timed and paid just like your wi-Fi in the room. No grocery stores nearby, metro mall has McD's and Burger King. Hair dryer sometimes doesn't work and hotel doesn't have spares. In general, they try, but I think they are stretched too thin, too many people and not enough staff. Room had coffee pot, no safe to store valuables. No shampoo, one dispenser to wash hair, body and hands. Read more

Nothing to complain. Easy to get everywhere using underground. Some quite nice (and inexpensive) pubs in the area. Traveling to Stansted airport is very easy and cheap due to 24h running bus. Probably I'll end up to this same hotel next time I visit London.

A lot of renovation is going on in preparation for the Olympics next year, so sidewalks (pavement) was torn up making for a challenging 15 minute walk to the nearest tube station, and then another 15 minute ride on the tube with transfers to get to downtown London. This was a return visit. I stayed here before in October 2010. I stayed a second time despite my misgivings because of its location. First the good news. The hotel has undergone a major renovation. The rooms have been redecorated and the lobby is fresh. Breakfast is good enough, particularly if you are there for one or two days. Toast and juice and […] mushy sausage get a little old after that. Now the bad news. The service is awful. Imagine living in a place where the help is related to a call center help-line. I came back to my room about seven one evening and there were no drinking glasses (plastic cups). When I called the main desk there was an awkward pause and they asked if I could come down to pick some up. I also had to go down to the front desk to pick up towels because there was no one on duty to bring me them when they were missing also. The internet is expensive and crashes often. No explanation, just "I am sorry." A couple of pubs in Stratford offer free wireless. So you get a darn good dinner and a drink and unlimited and reliable internet for less than the hotel will soak you. Read more

This was a clean, basic room. The hotel staff was extremely nice. We were close to the underground. Airport convenience is a problem given the lack of freeways in London. The hotel is understaffed at the front desk bar area. We came and went at different times and needed information/help and found we had to wait long periods for the staff. When they finally were able to assist us, many times they seems annoyed. This was not just one staff member but many. Now, our requests were not difficult or petty....room keys didn't […] work, needed to pay to internet access, or just check in or out. We actually stayed at the hotel 2 separate times during our stay because of convenience.....ie: we were allowed to keep luggage there while we traveled to France and near sites we wanted to see. The rooms were nice but we were unable to adjust the temperature and the window only opened a bit, so airflow was limited and stuffy. The in site bar was nice and the food from dinners delicious. We didn't eat the breakfast as we are late sleepers. The hotel was quiet and clean. The walk to the tube is about a half mile, but readily accessible. Read more

Check in was nice and easy and pleasent we was given our room keys and was on floor 4 the room was actually very basic but nice and clean and the bathroom was very clean with a great shower.Breakfast we only used once and that was enough you only got Sausage scramblled eggs (dry) beans all that where lukewarm.

what is the point of having a choice of pillows if the bed is like sleeping on a bag of potatoes in a dish?! All else in the room is good. The powdered eggs for breakfast are awful - especially tasteless and turn grey too quickly when left in the serving dish. No need for it - Yuk.

Close to Westfield, Stratford shopping centre. It feels like an up & coming area, am sure this was convenient for the Olympic Stadium. I had tickets for the O2 to see Robbie so was quite convenient. Room was clean, evening meal/breakfast was very nice, staff friendly & helpful.

The greeting we received wasn't exactly an enthusiastic one but she did warm to us gradually and actually was very helpful with regards to the parking. The parking on site is far too expensive but literally outside is a few spaces that you can park for free overnight, just make sure you get up early enough to put a ticket on it by 8am. We chose this hotel as we were combining a London sightseeing trip with going to a concert at the o2 arena. This hotel is within a few minutes walk of Stratford station (and the excelent Westfield centre for the shopaholics!) which has direct links to much of the city and the o2 making it perfect for us. Overall the hotel was superb. Beds were extremely […] comfortable (although on the soft side compared to what I'm used to) and the choice of soft and firm pillows was a great touch. Breakfast was great with a good choice of hot and cold food. Staff were extremely helpful and on busy mornings, even the manager chipped in and helped clear away breakfast trays - great to see. My only real (minor) criticism was that the although the choice of up lighters and bedside lamps in the room was great as 'mood' lighting for relaxing, and it would have been nice to have option of brighter lights for reading as the lighting was somewhat on the dim side. Nice, friendly hotel to stay at, especially for events around the area (London Excel and Olympic Stadium). Only a few minor faults though, like there being no physical bar of soap in the bathroom (usually other places have small, packaged ones) and breakfast was a little lackluster. Very pleasantly surprised. Nice bedroom, large and clean with newly refurbished bathroom - the bed could have been larger as a bit cramped for two tall people! Very good breakfast included, friendly helpful staff. Right next to where we went to see the Paralympics with excellent transport links into London.
