Booked hotel for facilities such as rooftop swimming pool. When we got there the pool and restuarnt were all shut. Very dissappointing. Also find the bar or restuarant at the hotel was a problem. People very nice - good consieges. Room was very clean and nicely decorated.

Our stay at the Exedra truly was a memorable one! The room although it was only a classic room was quite spectacular. Padded walls! a ceiling that was at least 20 foot high and a bed big enough to get lost in! The staff were lovely and really helpful apart from one receptionist who was ever so slightly condescending. We walked the length and breadth of Rome and did not see a more impressive hotel than this one. will definately be back but perhaps next time in the summer.

The Exedra Hotel is outstanding especially for it's location in Rome--which is near many great small restaurants, the train station and the Metro which can get you anywhere. The concierge service was always prompt, and full service, with maps and additional information to help you, including walking directions.

The Exedra was a great location to stay at! It was in the heart of Rome and very close to everything. There was a metro line just outside the hotel that took you to every sightseeing spot. The hotel is located next to the main shopping street, Via Nazionale and there are lots of great restaurants within an easy walking distance. Notably, La Cucina - this is a fabulous little restaurant and is located on Via Nazionale. The interior and exterior of the hotel was very impressive! Our room had very high ceilings and a little balconette overlooking the streets of Rome. The one fault with the bedroom was the bed. It was a double bed but with two single matresses, which was quite uncomfortable. The conceirge at the hotel were extremely helpful and overall it was a hotel with a fantastic location and very friendly staff.

Reviewed by c of london on Oct 3, 2008
we stayed at this hotel in September 2008 the website advertised it as having a pool and all other amenities you expect a five star hotel to have in fact when we arrived the hotel's pool was being renovated as was much of the hotel - if we knew that before we booked we would have stayed elsewhere. The website if very mislaeding also there are no restaurants/ no lobby to sit in and watch the world go by (important in times of bad weather)

Exedra is advertised as a 5-star hotel, which is far from expectation. The hotel has beautiful decor. However, the customer service is lacking and amenities fall way short. They don't have wireless internet access in thehotel. I had to stand outside the front door for 5 minutes to have someone help me and my pregnant wife with our bags. You often get no answer when calling the front desk from your room. The breakfast buffet is way overpriced ($40 Euro/person). For the money, this place is not worth it.

This is a great hotel but for the amount of money paid and for claiming to be a 5 star hotel, it greatly suffers in courtesy service. There are no door men. There is no WiFi service. The gym is tiny. The advertising pictures are misleading. The rooms are much smaller than advertised. There are no hot tubs in the room. It is very clean however.
